'Superman' final trailer: From Lex Luthor's jealousy to larger-than-life action, the video offers more than a sneak peek

Time of India12-06-2025

The final trailer for 'Superman' has just dropped, and it's all goosebumps. The 2-minute 9-second clip captured the essence of the superhero film, including larger-than-life action, the vulnerability and strength of Superman, castles crumbling to dust, teeth falling off in a punch, and much more.
What happens in the new trailer of 'Superman'?
The new DC trailer delved deep into the characters and gave the fans more than just a sneak peek, like the previous clips. The patent hatred and jealousy of Lex Luthor have seemed to charm the audience, as he is seen threatening the ones who raised Superman as a child and the journalist who seems to interview him, Lois Lane, wondering how it would be manifested in the film in its entirety.
As shown in the previously released trailers, the most powerful being on planet Earth was shown falling from the sky in the snow, along with the robots who take him to the Fortress of Solitude for recovery.
The footage shows the Kryptonian getting warned to 'stop messing around,' to which Superman responds with, 'I'm not messing around. I'm doing important stuff."
Of course fans can't keep calm! Watch the trailer here:

"We wouldn't be able to make that now": Danny Boyle on 'Slumdog Millionaire'

Filmmaker may have won a best picture Oscar for his 2008 film 'Slumdog Millionaire', but the director believes they wouldn't be able to make that film in present time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The 28 Years Later director reflected on the Oscar-winning film that starred and . "Yeah, we wouldn't be able to make that now," he said of the film. "And that's how it should be. It's time to reflect on all that. We have to look at the cultural baggage we carry and the mark that we've left on the world," as per the outlet. When asked whether the production itself amounted to a form of colonialism, the director denied that but added, "Well, only in the sense that everything is. At the time it felt radical. We made the decision that only a handful of us would go to Mumbai. We'd work with a big Indian crew and try to make a film within the culture. But you're still an outsider. It's still a flawed method. That kind of cultural appropriation might be sanctioned at certain times. But at other times it cannot be." Boyle shared thae he is "proud of the film" but noted, "You wouldn't even contemplate doing something like that today. It wouldn't even get financed. Even if I was involved, I'd be looking for a young Indian film-maker to shoot it," according to The Hollywood Reporter. At the time, 'Slumdog Millionaire' was a box office hit and went on to earn 10 Oscar nominations and win eight Academy Awards at the 2009 ceremony. Boyle won for best director. On Friday, Boyle returns to theaters with 28 Years Later, a sequel that arrives more than twenty years after he and writer revitalized the zombie genre with 28 Days Later, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Will Robert Pattinson's Batman Join The DC Universe? James Gunn Has The Answer

Last Updated: James Gunn mentioned that there is a small chance that Robert Pattinson's Batman could join the bigger DC world someday. James Gunn has confirmed that the next Batman movie with Robert Pattinson is still happening, despite rumours of its cancellation. He shared that director Matt Reeves is busy writing the script for the sequel. This Batman story is separate from the main DC Universe (DCU). Gunn added that there is a small chance this version of the Caped Crusader could join the bigger DC world someday. At the same time, DC Studios is working on another Batman film called The Brave and the Bold, which will be part of Gunn's DC Universe. The filmmaker is working closely with the writer to make sure this new Batman has a strong role, instead of being silly. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Gunn said, 'I would never say zero, because you just never know. But it's not likely. It's not likely at all. I'll also say Batman Part II is not cancelled. That's the other thing I hear all the time — that Batman Part II is cancelled. It's not cancelled. We don't have a script. Matt's slow. Let him take his time. Let him do what he's doing. God, people are mean. Let him do his thing, man." 'Batman's my biggest issue in all of DC right now, personally. And it's not, I'm not writing Batman, but I am working with the writer of Batman and trying to get it right, because he's incredibly important to DC, as is Wonder Woman. So, outside of the stuff that I'm doing in the projects that are actively going, our two priorities are finishing our Wonder Woman and our Batman scripts," James Gunn explained. Confirming that The Batman script is still called The Brave and the Bold, Gunn said that the movie won't be made just because he's a popular character. The filmmaker explained that there has to be a proper reason for Batman to exist in the DC Universe. This version will be different from Robert Pattinson's Batman, as Gunn made it clear that he isn't interested in showing a funny or over the top Dark Knight. Instead, he wants a serious story that fits well into his films. Although fans will have to wait longer to see Batman return to theatres, James Gunn is getting ready to launch the new DC Universe with Superman. The film stars David Corenswet as the titular superhero, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the villain Lex Luthor. It is set to hit cinemas on July 11. First Published:
