WWE Money In The Bank 2025: Men's IC Title Match Added To The Card

Dominik Mysterio will be defending his IC title at WWE Money in the Bank after all.
Early on Saturday at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, Dirty Dom and Liv Morgan made an appearance and the former got into a physical altercation with Octagon Jr.
Dom was in the midst of disrespecting his legendary father on the mic when Octagon Jr. got physical. A brawl ensued, and when the dust settled, Dom announced his title defense against the young luchador at MITB.
Here is a look at the segment.
I'd wondered if WWE was going to sit tight with just four matches, but this is my answer. Now it appears both the men's and women's IC titles will be on the line at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Octagon Jr. who was formerly known as Golden Magic is a dynamic performer who could help Dom put on a memorable match.
Here is an updated look at the MITB card:

Can we talk about Dom's rise? I've been watching wrestling for more than four decades, and I'm not sure I've seen a performer improve as much as Mysterio has over the course of his career.
When he made his first appearance on WWE television as an in-ring performer, I can honestly say he wasn't very good. He was over simply on the strength of his father's name and fame.
At this point, everyone who understands what they're watching can see that Dom's brilliance has nothing to do with who his father is; Dom is legitimately one of the most complete performers in the industry.
It's awesome to see how he is consistently in programs that pay homage to his culture—even though he is being positioned as the heel in these stories. It's clear how important the history of Mexican professional wrestling is to Mysterio.

While they've been at odds in WWE programming for several years now, in reality, Rey has to be over the moon for the kind of performer his son has become.
His match against Octagon Jr. on Saturday could be a sleeper banger on the card.
Could Dom fall victim to the MITB winner?
I guess there is a potential path to that happening. If Dom's match with Octagon Jr. is after the men's MITB ladder match—and Penta wins the briefcase—there is an angle to consider.
Penta is on the rise, but it is unlikely he's ready to be in the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship picture. It's more likely he'd focus on the IC or United States title. Because Dom failed in his attempt to recruit Penta to the Judgment Day, there's already been a beef established.
Would WWE push their MITB eggs into an Intercontinental title basket? R-Truth just got released; what do we really know anymore when it comes to WWE? I'm not sure how I'd feel about it, but it's definitely a way to add even more focus on the IC title.
