This family business, with nearly 50 years of experience and three generations, stands out for the excellence of its establishments.

"This recognition marks an important milestone for the Groupe la Tanière, which has continued to evolve since its founding in 1977. Today, this award symbolizes decades of hard work, rigor, and creativity—a dream nurtured over the years, now a reality. It is a source of great collective pride for our entire team, from past to present, and a wonderful recognition of the work of our chefs, their brigade, the artisans, and collaborators across all our establishments. It also underscores the importance of our loyal customers, who always inspire us to excel."
The Groupe la Tanière, comprised of a team of passionate culinary people, who shares common values that serve as the foundation for their inspiration. A true pioneer of boreal cuisine who has successfully reinvented an avant-garde and sensory approach to the gastronomic experience, the Group and all of its establishments strongly value local producers to showcase the terroir and local expertise. Hospitality, attention to detail, and culinary creativity are at the heart of their identity, allowing each of the four signature locations to express their own personality, reflecting the chefs and restaurant directors, who interpret the essence of contemporary Quebec cuisine in their own way. All driven by the same dream of pursuing the development of Quebec's unique cuisine identity inspired by its terroir and history, all teams from the three restaurants still manage to differentiate themselves through their approach and vision, which are reflected in each chef's cuisine.
TANIÈRE3 | 2 MICHELIN StarsTanière3, a two-star MICHELIN restaurant, is run by co-owners Chef François-Emmanuel Nicol and Restaurant Director Roxan Bourdelais, who also received the MICHELIN Outstanding Service Award. Tanière3 is the only restaurant in Quebec province and the second in Canada to hold this distinction, the highest awarded in the country to date, out of a maximum of three stars. The ultimate gastronomic experience allows us to travel, throughout the evening, through three completely different environments where the hidden ingredients of the boreal forest are prepared and narrated for our greatest pleasure. The restaurant's is located 7 rue Don-de-dieu, near Place Royale.
"These two stars are both a recognition and a starting point. We receive them with humility and enthusiasm, and they motivate us to go even further in our mission: to showcase Quebec gastronomy on the world stage."
François-Emmanuel Nicol, Chef-Owner of Tanière3
LEGEND | 1 MICHELIN StarThe Michelin-starred Légende restaurant has now been run by the co-owner chef Elliot Beaudoin for several years. He is the youngest chef to receive a MICHELIN star in Canada. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, with a bistro-meets-gourmet restaurant approach, Légende has become, thanks to its experienced team, a benchmark in the Old Port for local cuisine, enhanced by the exceptional work of Caroline Beaulieu, the sommelier of the year at the 2023 Lauriers de la Gastronomie awards. Drawing on his extensive travels, the chef offers a creative approach that combines overseas culinary techniques with local ingredients for a true gastronomic discovery. The restaurant, located at 255 Saint-Paul Street in Quebec City, is open every evening from 5 p.m.
L'ORYGINE | MICHELIN RecommendationThe Michelin-recommended restaurant l'Orygine is run by co-owners Chef Sabrina Lemay and Restaurant Director Philippe Veilleux. In Quebec City, there are only about fifteen other restaurants that have received this same recognition. Aiming for a more relaxed gastronomy, inspired by the garden, Chef Lemay first creates her dishes around fresh local garden produce to highlight all their colors, textures, and aromas. This is followed by a highly sensory cuisine for a generous and refined culinary experience. The restaurant, located at 36 ½ rue Saint-Pierre in Quebec City, is open every evening from 5 pm. It is also at the same address that you have the opportunity to discover the lounge bar Le Vieux Carré, with the same philosophy as Groupe la Tanière. It is the perfect place for an aperitif or to end the evening with the original cocktail creations of the bartender team, led by Philippe Veilleux.

Pinault had been leading the conglomerate, which ownsGucci,Bottega Veneta,Balenciaga,Dior, and more, for 20 years since 2005. The appointment brings optimism to Kering, where significant struggles have taken hold, particularly with its once-dominant brand, Gucci, experiencing steep declines in sales and profitability. The current chief executive of Renault will step down from his current role in mid-July, and he'll take over the luxury conglomerate on September 15. Meanwhile, Kering's current CEO, François-Henri Pinault, will maintain his role as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In a statement, de Meo said, 'I would like to thank François-Henri Pinault and the Board of Directors for choosing me to lead Kering into this new phase of development. I am approaching this new professional challenge with enthusiasm, eagerness, and confidence, inspired by the strength of the Group's brands and the expertise of its people. I am convinced that together we will continue to make Kering an essential player in the luxury industry.' After a decade,Francesco Rissohas stepped down as Creative Director ofMarni. Appointed in 2016, Risso significantly expanded upon founder Consuelo Castiglioni's legacy, bringing a craft-geared ethos and vibrant aesthetic to a new generation of luxury consumers. His distinctive chunky knitwear, bohemian florals, and collaborations with artists likeErykah Baduresonated strongly with Gen Z and Millennials. Risso's departure is part of a series of changes at parent company OTB Group, which owns brands like Diesel and Jil Sander. While Marni has not yet named a successor, speculation points to a potential return to a female perspective, with names likeMartine Rosebeing considered for her offbeat, colorful vision that aligns with Marni's distinct identity. Under the terms, The Shoe Surgeon is barred from using any Nike branding that might confuse consumers. However, he can continue creating unique custom sneakers, but only under conditions approved by Nike. In a statement to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the Shoe Surgeon expressed his aspiration to collaborate with 'legendary brands'. He also conveyed confusion regarding Nike's decision to pursue litigation over discussion, while expressing confidence that a resolution can be achieved through dialogue with Nike's new management. He emphasized that 'creating defines us' and that 'authenticity is stitched into our DNA,' concluding with 'Where there is unity, there is victory'. Designer Hideaki Shikama likened his design approach to DJing, focusing on remixed and 'chopped-and-screwed' sensibilities. The collection features fine tailoring in structured pieces like skirts and jackets, balanced with edgy elements such as patinated over-dye and deconstructed silhouettes. Patchwork suiting blends tonal fabrics, while dark fabric scraps are quilted into textiles for various garments. The 'discordance' concept is evident in halved garments sewn down the middle, including a Japanese souvenir jacket and a graphic football jersey. The presentation concluded with an unconventional bridal look made from crumpled t-shirts, adorned with a bejeweled cross on a hood-veil hybrid. Paying homage to the style of the 2000s hip-hop community,Pharrell's latest footwear design combines the luxury craftsmanship of a dress shoe with the comfortable silhouette of a retro sneaker. The special campaign spotlights the shoe's key design details, including an LV logo on the lateral panel and an embossed 'Phriendship silhouette' of Pharrell's face at the tongue. Furthermore, on the back of the shoe, an embossed lobster is an Easter egg detail calling back to Pharrell and Nigo's collaborative relationship. Crafted by Italian artisans with ultra-soft leather, the 'buttery' material gives the shoe a pillow-like quality. The elevated platform soles depart from the flat-soled footwear trends offered by luxury competitors like Miu Miu and Loewe. With a silhouette verging on appearing cartoon-like, the design echoes the Minecraft-esque pixelated motifs featured in Pharrell's earlier collections for the Maison. Canada threatens further tariffs on US steel, aluminum

This story was originally published on Supply Chain Dive. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Supply Chain Dive newsletter. Canada may soon raise tariffs on U.S. steel and aluminum imports if the two countries are unable to reach an agreement pertaining to the Trump administration's trade policies in the next month. The new tariffs from Canada are slated to begin July 21, a little less than two weeks after a 90-day pause on country-specific reciprocal tariffs from the U.S. is set to expire. Canada would impose the tariffs 'to levels consistent with progress that has been made in the broader trading arrangement with the United States,' per a July 19 press release. Furthermore, beginning July 30, Canada will limit federal procurement of steel and aluminum to suppliers from the country. Canada is also taking other actions to shield its domestic steel industry from the ripple effects of global trade turbulence. The country will establish 100% tariff quotas of 2024 levels for steel imports from countries with which it does not have free trade agreements. It is also planning to devise, in the coming weeks, additional tariff measures "to address risks associated with persistent global overcapacity and unfair trade in the steel and aluminum sectors, which are exacerbated by U.S. actions," per the release. 'While we continue to aim for an agreement with the United States, we are taking strong, targeted action to respond to the unjust American tariffs and to protect the integrity of our steel and aluminum sectors,' said François-Philippe Champagne, Canada Minister of Finance and National Revenue, in a statement. The U.S. implemented a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum products in March but has since doubled the rate to 50%, effective June 4. The actions are part of a raft of heightened tariffs from the Trump administration, including a baseline 10% global reciprocal tariff that remains in effect during the current 90-day pause. The White House instituted the reprieve to provide time to conduct trade negotiations with individual countries, including Canada. Thus far, the two countries have yet to reach a formal arrangement, although negotiations have been underway. Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney said the two countries are working to cement a deal in the next 30 days after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the G7 Summit in Alberta earlier this week. During the summit, Trump also finalized some of the provisions of a trade agreement with the U.K. However, additional negotiations with other countries were cut short when Trump abruptly left the summit as hostilities between Israel and Iran intensified. The U.S. has also reached a tariff truce with China, per White House officials, although the agreement has yet to be approved by Trump and China President Xi Jinping. Brightline station food hall in Miami reopens with popular local favorites

Brightline's Central Fare food hall in downtown Miami has reopened with brand-new vendors, more than a few of them very familiar to Miami diners. The Central Fare Food Collective features 12 concepts, all but one of which are Miami born-and-bred, including Stanzione Pizza; a sushi concept from the creator of Mr. Omakase; a couple of Michelin-recognized spots; and the insanely popular pop-up The Wolf of Tacos, the first permanent spot for them. The vendors were curated by Felix Bendersky of F+B Hospitality Brokerage, in collaboration with Brightline. Working with Brightline, Bendersky said, made this one of the best projects he has ever worked on. 'They were so cool when I pitched them the 305 idea,' Bendersky said. 'I believed the vendors had to be local and upstarts. I knew if we could make it affordable for them and allow them to make money and keep costs lower to customers, it would work.' Vendors will also have the ability to offer delivery options, Bendersky said, a good plan considering the population density of that part of Miami. 'For this to work, it had to be local people foodies want,' he said. 'We've got the Beaker & Gray guys running the bar! It really does feel like a community.' Central Fare vendors Cotoita: This concept by Ecuadorian chef Alejandra Espinoza, whose restaurant Cotoa was named to the 2025 Michelin Guide earlier this year, will offer empanadas de queso, bowls and patacones with sweet paletas for desserts. El Turco Express: From the creators of the Michelin Bib Gourmand El Turco in Upper Buena Vista, this spot will serve kebabs, hummus, baklava and other Turkish specialties. Guchi's Handroll Bar: Andrew Mayer, the founder of Poke OG, Mr. Omakase and Miss Crispy Rice, is offering sushi handrolls, including the Surf & Turf made wit hA5 Wagyu Beef and crab. There are also poke bowl options. Icy-N-Spicy: Owner Xiaoli Liu offers artisan desserts like chocolate-covered strawberries and Dubai chocolate bars made with phyllo, pistachio and chocolate. Josh's Corner Diner: If you've never visited the Michelin-recommended Josh's Deli in Surfside, here's your chance to see what the fuss is. This diner offers classic breakfast fare like pancakes, French toast, bagels, breakfast sandwiches and more. At lunch, try tuna melts, po'boys, burgers and other diner fare. Peel!: Peel! from Valeria Alvarez offers natural, vegan desserts that start as bananas and coconut milk and turn into creamy soft serve. Peppi's Steaks & Hoagies: The creator of Peppi's Pizza brings the best of Philly to Miami with hoagies and cheesesteaks (either the Philly classic or something a little different, like a buffalo chicken cheesesteak). Rosetta Bakery: Expect Italian-style baked goods Stanzione Pizza: Franco Stanzione started making his Neoapolitan pizzas in Miami in 2013 and will serve them here, along with pasta dishes like spaghetti pomodoro. Stephanie's Crepes: This spot offers sweet creeps (with fresh fruit, custard or yogurt) or savory crepes (with greens, proteins and sauces). Switchpoint Station Bar: The Unfiltered Hospitality team mans Central Fare's bar, offering cocktails and mocktails as well as tea and coffee drinks The Wolf of Tacos: Chef Eduardo Lara started his beloved brand in 2020, selling tacos out of his home and eventually popping up around Miami. This is his first brick-and-mortar kitchen, offering the street tacos that made him Miami famous. Central Fare Where: 600 NW First Ave., Miami Hours: 7 a.m.–10 p.m. daily; hours of actual vendors may vary day to day More information:
