Nosferatu — the 2024 horror hit starring Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp and Nicholas Hoult — is coming soon to Prime Video.
Directed by Robert Eggers, Nosferatu opened on Dec. 25, 2024. The official logline for the movie reads, 'A gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake.'
Skarsgård stars as the vampire Count Orlok in Nosferatu, while Depp plays Ellen Hutter, whom the vampire has been haunting in her dreams. Hoult plays Ellen's husband, Thomas Hutter, a real estate agent who is trying to thwart Orlok from preying on his wife. The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, Ralph Ineson and Willem Dafoe.
Prime Video has announced that Nosferatu will join its streaming video on demand lineup on Friday, June 27.
Viewers who don't have Prime Video can get the streaming service as one of the benefits of being an Amazon Prime subscriber for $14.99 or $139 per year. Prime Video-only subscriptions are also available for $8.99 per month.
According to streaming tracker When to Stream, only the theatrical version of Nosferatu will be available on Prime Video when the film makes its SVOD debut on the platform on Friday.
The extended cut of Nosferatu, which includes four minutes of additional footage is only available on the Peacock streaming service.
Robert Eggers Contacted Bill Skarsgård About 'Nosferatu' After Seeing Him In 'IT: Chapter Two'
Nosferatu director Robert Eggers said it was because of another horror role — Pennywise the Clown— that led him to pursue Bill Skarsgård to play Count Orlok. However, it wasn't Skarsgård's portrayal as the clown that inspired Eggers.
'It was [Bill's role] as Pennywise, but in IT: Chapter Two, when he played Pennywise as a middle-aged human man instead of a clown,' Eggers said in a Zoom conversation prior to the film's theatrical release. 'It just had a kind of darkness and depth that I really believed.
'So, that's when I emailed or texted Bill and said, 'Let's talk about Orlok.' I really wanted to work with Bill since I met him almost 10 years ago,' the filmmaker added. 'I cast him in The Northman in a supporting role but because of COVID, it didn't happen. He was always on my mind.'
Nosferatu received awards season recognition for films released in 2024, largely in the technical categories.
The film earned nominations for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design and Best Production Design for the 97th Academy Awards; and received nominations in the same four categories and a Best Original Score nomination from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
Nosferatu begins streaming on Prime Video on Friday.

Steelers hint at new Terrible Towel, special announcement coming next week

Steelers fans may soon get a glimpse at the 50th anniversary edition of the Terrible Towel — as a special announcement is coming next week. The official Steelers Pro Shop teased that a reveal is coming, posting an image on social media of what appears to be a close-up of the 50th anniversary 2025 Terrible Towel. Back in May, Steelers President Art Rooney II claimed a new throwback jersey was set to be revealed in July, and also hinted at a 'little celebration' for the 50th anniversary of the Terrible Towel. Advertisement The Steelers debuted the Terrible Towel on December 27, 1975, in a playoff matchup against the Baltimore Colts, and it has since become a larger-than-life symbol of Pittsburgh sports — evident by its journeys to unbelievable locations such as Mt. Everest and space. For up-to-date Steelers coverage, follow us on X @TheSteelersWire and give our Facebook page a like. NBA World Reacts to Kevin Durant Trade on Sunday

NBA World Reacts to Kevin Durant Trade on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As NBA fans prepared for a winner-take-all NBA Finals Game 7 between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, the blockbuster Kevin Durant trade took the basketball world by storm. Advertisement According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Phoenix Suns are trading the two-time NBA Finals MVP to the Houston Rockets, who finished No. 2 in the Western Conference behind Oklahoma City this season. In return, Phoenix will get Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks to form a new core around four-time All-Star guard Devin Booker. Here's what the NBA world had to say about the Durant trade on Sunday. Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant (35) and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23)© Mark J. Rebilas-Imagn Images Right away, the most notable response came from Durant himself. The 36-year-old was at Fanatics Fest in New York when the news broke, and fans recorded his immediate reaction. He did an interview with Kay Adams from the event shortly after, stating that he "had an idea" about the trade but did not know the news would come out when it did. Advertisement He expressed relief that the constant trade rumors of the past few weeks could be put to rest. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, another star player subject to trade rumors since the Bucks' postseason run ended, shared his shock in a two-word message on X. San Antonio Spurs guard Jeremy Sochan needed even fewer words, opting for a gif as he held back his opinion of Durant joining one of San Antonio's in-state rivals. The news breaking at Fanatics Fest led to live reactions from other people who were there and found out the news in person rather than social media. Sports stars like Tom Brady and LeBron James graced the event, mixing with big time social media influencers like Olivia Dunne and Kai Cenat. Advertisement NBA legend Allen Iverson had his gobsmacked reaction caught on camera. Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game last season. In his three seasons with the Suns, the team did not make it past the Western Conference semifinals. They missed the NBA playoffs completely in the 2024-2025 season.
