Miami Heat's fallback option emerges in the event of failed Giannis Antetokounmpo trade
Like just about every team in the league, the Miami Heat would love to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo. But what if the Milwaukee Bucks aren't ready to trade the face of their franchise? Chances are, the Bucks aren't ready to trade the two-time MVP.
So, if the Heat aren't able to pry Antetokounmpo away from Milwaukee, where should Miami turn next? According to Mike Scotto of Hoops Hype, the Heat could view trading for Jonathan Kuminga as a 'fallback option.'
'Miami has prioritized pursuits of Giannis Antetokounmpo (if he became available this summer) and Durant (whom they're actively trying to acquire) on their wish list ahead of Kuminga, who's viewed as a fallback option to the two superstars.'

While every fan in Miami would instantly recognize Antetokounmpo or Kevin Durant, some non-basketball enthusiasts may need to be informed on the type of potential Kuminga offers.
The seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft will still be just 23 when next season starts, and he's averaged over 15.3 points per game across the past two years. He could very well be the next breakout star that takes the NBA by storm, but the Warriors aren't eager to just give the former first-round pick away either.
Besides, why wouldn't the Heat have just demanded that Kuminga be the centerpiece in their previous Jimmy Butler trade with the Warriors? It's possible Golden State just wasn't ready to move on from their young wing prospect quite yet. We'll see if that changes this offseason.

Your 2025 Dolphins Offensive Stat Leaders
A couple of nights ago, I asked the following question: What's your prediction for who will lead the Miami Dolphins offense in any statistical category? Give us your list of leaders, along with statistical numbers, if you also want to predict those. Below are some of your thoughts and answers- Advertisement SlayerNation1 has all of the usual suspects. Achane 800/400 yards Hill 1400 (Waddle will miss games 1100) Tua 3,000 yards passing, will miss games Smith if He plays 700 yards, many of his short passes/behind LOS passes could go to a RB or Conner. Mcadaniel leads the league with 30 Delays of Game dedstrk316 added some new statistical categories. Injuries: Tua, Chubb, Phillips, at least one oline player. Timeouts due to not being able to get the play call in on time: McDaniel Hissy Fits: Tyreek Being a total badass: Seiler and Grant How the heck did he do that: Achane, Waddle Yarganaught doesn't know who it's going to be but believes that the run game will be a focus this coming season. Oh gosh, I really don't have any idea who will be The Man at any spot. I think the running game will be a focus, and the O-line will improve in that area. But will those carries go to Achane, or will he become an increased passing threat? Perhaps Wright or Gordon II will surpass him in rushing yards and TDs. As mentioned below by JUK, will MMD spurn Hill's ego (in what could be his final season with Miami) in turn for Waddle's? Similarly, will MMD try to replace Jonnu's TE production with one of the other TEs on the roster, will Achane assume many of those shorter yardage passes, or will a WR3 step up as the TE (Pharoah) assumes more of a blocking role again? And that's just on Offense!!! Dolphster sees the status quo remaining. Interesting question. I think Tua, Achane, and Hill will still lead in passing, rushing, and re Smith will stay, play to the same standard but be at least 20% down in counting statsceiving. Even if Jonnu stays, I don't foresee him replicating last year's stats, so I don't see him repeating for most receiving TDs. Not sure who I would guess would take that lead this year though. Maybe Achane for most overall TDs, but not receiving TDs. JUK has Achane leading the team in yards and Waddle besting Hill. Achane will lead the team in total yards from scrimmage, that's the easiest call for me if he's healthy. Waddle will outplay Hill, whether he leads the team in receiving yards depends if McD has learned his lesson or if he keeps trying to feed balls to protect Reek's ego. Bill Moody sees Tua staying healthy. QB (All) - Tua (he stays healthy) RB (Rushing and Scrimmage Yards, TDs) - Achane (Wright didn't look good last year, and Ollie is new) WR (Receiving Yards) - HIll (while I think both Hill and Waddle will have a resurgance, I think Hill gonna be on a warpath) These seem most likely to me. NFL legend calls LeBron James 'the greatest ever'
LeBron James treated sports fans to a special event in New York City on Saturday. At Fanatics Fest, which was held at the Javitz Center, he hosted live versions of "The Shop" and the "Mind the Game" podcast. For "The Shop," he was joined on stage by legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady. Brady retired following the 2022 season, and he is considered by most to be the greatest player, or at least the greatest QB, in the history of football. Brady appeared to glaze James a bit when he referred to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar as "the greatest ever." 'You're witnessing the greatest ever and I hope you all appreciate that,' Brady said. The debate about where exactly James belongs on the list of the greatest players in NBA history rages on, but his accomplishments speak for themselves. He became the league's all-time leading career scorer two years ago and is now at 42,184 regular-season points and 50,473 points in the regular season and playoffs combined. He has won four NBA championships (although he has lost six times in the NBA Finals), has won four league MVP awards and is one of a handful of players who have at least one scoring title and one assists title. James has a player option for next season. The 40-year-old is expected to play at least one more season in the league, and what he does beyond that is anyone's best guess at this point.
