Who's on the 2025-26 non-conference schedule for Alabama basketball as of June?
Thirteen grueling games of non-conference play conditioned Alabama basketball for another deep run in the NCAA Tournament last season.
Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats hasn't let off the gas in crafting Alabama's 2025-26 non-con slate and has spent the offseason sharing that he plans on his team having the "best schedule in the country again." Now that Labaron Philon is back in the driver's seat for the Crimson Tide's back court, it seems winnable.

As of now, Alabama's schedule next season starts with a visit to Madison Square Garden to face St. John's on Nov. 8. The two could even meet again depending on how things shake out at the Players Era Festival later in the month. Alabama walked away from Las Vegas as the runner-up to Oregon, which will be in attendance this year alongside Auburn, Baylor, Creighton, Gonzaga, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan, Notre Dame, Rutgers, San Diego State, St. Joes, Syracuse, Tennessee and UNLV.
Including the Players Era Festival, Alabama has six confirmed dates on the schedule, plus certain appearances in the SEC/ACC Challenge, and against North Dakota and Yale. There's also been circulation of a potential matchup with South Florida, coached by former Crimson Tide assistant Bryan Hodgson.
Alabama's latest addition to the schedule, as reported by Rocco Miller, will come against another member of Oats' coaching tree, Austin Claunch, who led University of Texas-San Antonio to a 12-19 record in his first season at the helm last year.

Ohio State softball 2026 conference schedule unveiled
It was an overachieving year for the Ohio State softball team this past season. Despite losing a lot of key players, new head coach Kirin Kumar was able to lead the team to an offensive explosion in which the Buckeyes led the country in home runs, runs scored, and a few other categories. OSU ended up tying for third place in the Big Ten and found its way into the NCAA Tournament. Now, the trick will be to continue that momentum and continue the climb in the Big Ten and nationally. To do it, Ohio State will have to navigate a Big Ten schedule that now includes West Coast power teams like UCLA and Oregon. Advertisement This past week, the Big Ten unveiled the conference schedule for the 2026 softball season, so we got a look at who the Buckeyes will play next season and where they will do it. The Texas-Texas A&M Rivalry Doesn't Stand in the Way of These Two Future SEC Quarterbacks Dia Bell and Helaman Casuga
The Texas-Texas A&M Rivalry Doesn't Stand in the Way of These Two Future SEC Quarterbacks Dia Bell and Helaman Casuga originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The in-state Texas-Texas A&M rivalry isn't a cause for concern for these two class of 2026 quarterbacks. At the Elite 11 Finals, the Longhorn and Aggie quarterbacks represented their soon-to-be teams with top tier performances and respect. Texas A&M Aggies head coach Mike Elko and Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Lysaker-Imagn Images Four-star Helaman Casuga and five-star Dia Bell were standouts at the Elite 11 Finals. Casuga, who's committed to Texas A&M was honored as the MVP on day two of the event and was named the "most consistent" overall. Bell, the Texas commit, was honored as MVP on day three and was named as having the "best mechanics" overall. Beyond skill, though, the two future SEC quarterbacks showed their character at the Elite 11 Finals. Advertisement The future rivalry between the Longhorns and Aggies didn't affect them or get into their heads. Rather, the two developed a friendship at the event and continued supporting one another. "We're out here to compete, we're out here to show why we feel like we are the best and we're out here to just have a great time and connect with each other and hopefully build lifelong connections," Bell said. The only thing that mattered was encouraging each other during workouts and spending time warming up together. At the end of the Elite 11, their sportsmanship shone through as well as their talents. "I don't even think about him going to Texas ... I probably have the best connection with him out of everybody," Casuga said. "... He's a great competitor. Shoutout to [Bell]. Always working, always making sure that I'm pushing myself, and I do the same for him." Advertisement While all the participants at the Elite 11 Finals are going to high-end schools and may face each other down the line on the NCAA field, the event is a place to foster lifelong connections that surpass rivalries, records, and final scores. "Hopefully we don't have a lot of contention going off to college and we can still be boys," Casuga said. "That's my guy."
