Last Updated:
The RJD patron also shared an AI-generated video highlighting the situation faced by the people after promises made by NDA government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav took a veiled dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the poll bound state, sarcastically making a reference to weather forecast, saying there was a 'heavy rain of lies" and a 'hail of false promises" in the state today.
'Weather warning in the interest of Bihar- Today there is heavy rain of lies, false promises and illusions in Bihar, hailstones of false and tempting promises are also falling along with thunder, be careful," he said in a post on X.
#Bihar #TejashwiYadav #RJD pic.twitter.com/VrGTcjRN98 — Lalu Prasad Yadav (@laluprasadrjd) June 20, 2025
The RJD patron also shared an AI-generated video highlighting the situation faced by the people after promises made by NDA government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The video showed an elderly man sitting in a rural area under an umbrella, conveying a message of the person seeking shelter from a 'flood of promises'. The clip further showed a man holding an umbrella amid thunderstorms, signifying the vulnerability of people from a 'hail of false promises'.
The video further showed Nitish Kumar and PM Modi dancing under a damaged bridge, signifying infrastructural breakdown and corruption under the NDA regime.
Additionally, Lalu Yadav's son and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav also hit out at PM Modi over his allegations on RJD and Congress, alleging that he was reading from a teleprompter.
'What he said was ghisa-pita (cliched), had no content and he read from teleprompter. Jumlon ka saaya hai, dekho phir wohi aaya hai. (There's a shadow of lies and look, he has come back again)," he said.
Taking a dig at the NDA, which he called the ' National Damad Alliance ', he said that Nitish Kumar ignored the issues faced by the people and attended PM Modi's rally in Siwan.
'The RJD has a clear vision and roadmap for the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continues to ignore people's issues while attending PM Modi's rallies, something that comes easily to him. The NDA, which is the 'National Damad Alliance,' should take accountability and answer to the people of Bihar," he said.
PM Modi Attacks RJD, Congress
The RJD's response came after PM Modi, while addressing a high-stakes rally in poll-bound Bihar on Friday, launched a scathing attack on RJD and Congress, and accused them of allegedly insulting Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and betraying the aspirations of Dalits and backward classes.
His remarks come amid a growing controversy over a viral video that purportedly shows RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav placing an image of Ambedkar near a chair, before resting his leg on it.
Without naming Lalu directly, Modi invoked the incident to question the Opposition's commitment to social justice. 'Leaders of RJD and Congress keep photographs of the architect of the Country's Constitution near their feet. I keep his photograph close to my heart," he said. He added, 'RJD will never apologise for what happened as they have no respect for Dalits and backwards."

India and Israel almost destroyed Pakistan's nuclear programme until..., Netanyahu was...
(Representational image: freepik) New Delhi: A few days back, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma alleged that the Congress made a 'historic blunder' in the 1980s by allowing Pakistan to become a nuclear power as he claimed that intelligence from R&AW had confirmed uranium enrichment activity at Pakistan's Kahuta facility and Israel had offered operational support, including intel and joint strike planning. The then Prime minister Indira Gandhi initially approved the aerial attack on Pakistan's nuclear plants but called off the operation fearing global repercussions. Later, Rajiv Gandhi abandoned the plan in favour of diplomacy under foreign pressure. Pakistan's Kahuta facility During the late 1970s, Pakistan was rapidly advancing its uranium enrichment programme at Kahuta, near Rawalpindi under then-military ruler General Zia-ul-Haq. Pakistan decided to start its nuclear programme after the humiliating defeat to India in the 1971 war under the then Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. They selected Kahuta for establishing their nuclear weapons plant and for uranium enrichment centrifuges. The key part was played by A.Q. Khan. India's intelligence agency R&AW confirmed Kahuta's role in producing weapons-grade uranium. It was during the early 1980s, The joint Israel-India operation Israel also learned about Pakistan's nuclear ambition and presented to India a proposal to carry out a joint airstrike to destroy the Kahuta nuclear facility. For this, Israel would fly its F-15 and F-16 fighter jets into Indian airspace and use Indian air bases in Jamnagar, Gujarat and Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir for the assault. Indian Air Force's Jaguar deep-strike jets would support the mission. Why did Israel make this offer? Israel's offer to destroy Pakistan's Kahuta nuclear facility came in the wake of its fear of a nuclear weapon falling into the hands of its enemy countries like Libya or Iran who had close ties with Pakistan. Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin even wrote to UK PM Margaret Thatcher in 1979 warning of the threat. Why was the operation aborted? According to reports, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was inclined to accept the Israeli proposal but the mission was ultimately called off due to domestic and geopolitical reasons, especially the Khalistani movement in Punjab under Bhindranwale. One more factor that played a big role was threat of Pakistan's retaliation which could have led to a direct war. What happened in May 1998? Pakistan became a nuclear power in May 1998 when it conducted five nuclear tests in the Chagai Hills of Balochistan Province. Benjamin Netanyahu was the Israeli Prime Minister at that time. Pakistan had been working on its nuclear agenda under Project-706, the codename of a research and development programme to develop Pakistan's nuclear weapons. Project-706 was started by Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1974 after India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, conducted its first nuclear tests in May 1974.

Odisha is a shining star of India's rich heritage: PM Modi
Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Odisha the shining star of rich cultural heritage of India during his visit to the state on Friday while addressing the gathering at the state-level function marking one year of the Mohan Charan Majhi-led state government. PM Modi said: 'Odisha is not merely a state, but a shining star of India's rich heritage. Odisha has enriched Indian civilization, our culture for hundreds of years. Today when the mantra of development and heritage has become the foundation of India's progress, the role of Odisha has grown even more significant.' The Prime Minister added that he politely declined the invitation of US President to visit America after the completion of the G7 summit in Canada, as he had already planned to visit the holy land of Lord Jagannath on Friday. Mentioning that Odisha too had been grappling with numerous challenges for decades, PM Modi noted that corruption and red-tapism were dominant, and the infrastructure across Odisha was in a dire condition under the previous regimes. He claimed that such challenges had become the unfortunate reality of Odisha, asserting that over the past year, their government has worked with full resolve to address these issues. Elaborating on the double benefits under the double-engine government, PM Modi said: 'People of the state were long deprived of many health schemes --- today they are availing benefits of Ayushman Bharat Yojana as well as Jan Aarogya Yojana. More than 23 lakh senior citizens above the age of 70 years are also drawing benefits under Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana.' PM Modi said that the nation has seen the Congress model for years, which offered nothing other than corruption, policy paralysis, the sprouting of middlemen but in BJP-ruled states, a new model of growth took shape, which is oriented towards public welfare. Citing examples of Assam and Tripura, he observed that in the past decade, several states witnessed stability, rapid progress, peace and progress following the formation of BJP governments for the first time. PM Modi further said that prior to 2014, tribal communities neither got development nor participation in governance. The country had more than 125 tribal areas, all affected by the Maoist violence but instead of finding a solution, previous governments only sought to discredit them by labelling them as 'Maoist-affected'. PM Modi vowed to defeat LWE and said that hopes and dreams of tribal population will be brought to fruition. Discussing the second major scheme, PM Janman Yojana, the Prime Minister stated that the inspiration for this scheme emerged from the land of Odisha. He acknowledged the guidance of the nation's first tribal woman President, and Odisha's daughter, Droupadi Murmu, in shaping this initiative. He also stated that the growth of 21st-century India will be powered by Eastern India. PM Modi said that this is the era of Purvoday. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation of multiple development projects worth over Rs 18,600 crore covering critical sectors including drinking water, irrigation, agricultural infrastructure, health infrastructure, rural roads and bridges, sections of national highways, and a new railway line. During the event here on Friday, the Prime Minister flagged off new train services extending rail connectivity to Boudh district for the first time. The Prime Minister also released the Odisha Vision Document for a Samruddha Odisha by 2036 (when Odisha completes 100 years as India's first linguistic state) and 2047 (when India celebrates 100 years of Independence), the Vision will outline an ambitious and future-ready roadmap for inclusive growth.
