PM Modi targets RJD, Congress at rally in Bihar, credits NDA for progress

Modi also slammed the RJD for allegedly insulting Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and said the people of the state would not tolerate the insult to the Dalit icon Press Trust of India Siwan Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) at a public rally in Siwan, accusing them of pushing Bihar into poverty and lawlessness during their rule. Addressing the public meeting, the PM said the people of Bihar have ended the jungle raj created by the Congress-RJD combine. Modi also slammed the RJD for allegedly insulting Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and said the people of the state would not tolerate the insult to the Dalit icon. The RJD and the Congress are responsible for the large-scale migration of labourers from Bihar and for the persistent poverty that plagued the state for decades, Modi alleged. He claimed that the RJD-Congress governance model was focused on "enriching their own families while ignoring the needs of the people". During the Congress's licence raj, their leaders became rich, but the public remained poor, he added. The RJD insulted Babasaheb and the people of Bihar will never forgive its leaders. Leaders of RJD and Congress keep photographs of the architect of the Country's Constitution near their feet. I keep his photograph close to my heart," the PM claimed. Taking a dig at RJD's political approach, Modi said, We believe in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', but they believe only in Parivaar Ka Vikas'. Modi warned that the RJD and the Congress, which according to him were responsible for Bihar's troubled past, are again eyeing power. They created the jungle raj, and now they want to return. But the people of Bihar will give them a fitting reply in the assembly elections, he said. The Bihar assembly elections are due in a few months. Highlighting the achievements of the NDA government, Modi claimed that Bihar has witnessed significant infrastructure development in recent years. Under the NDA, 55,000 km of rural roads were constructed, over 1.5 crore households were electrified, and piped water reached 26 crore people, he said. Modi said that the entire world was acknowledging India's development journey. During my recent foreign visit, several world leaders praised India's progress, he noted. Analyse your speeches, you will be full of embarrassment: Tejashwi Yadav slams PM Modi ahead of his Saran visit

Patna (Bihar) [India], June 20 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his Saran visit. The former Bihar Deputy CM alleged that PM Modi has broken all the norms of 'misleading' people by addressing more than 200 rallies in Bihar, which were full of 'lies'. In his edited post on X, Tejashwi Yadav urged PM Modi to analyse his speeches and said that he wouldn't be able to speak after it due to 'embarrassment'. The RJD leader asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Saran visit whether he would lay the foundation and inaugurate projects that have been underway since 2015. He queried PM Modi whether he could explain why Bihar is the 'worst' state in terms of poverty, unemployment, per capita income, investment, literacy rate, and industrialization in the reports of NITI Aayog and the Government of India, despite 11 years of PM Modi's government in the centre and 20 years of NDA rule in Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav asked whether PM Modi would explain why 65000 innocent people were killed in the 20 years of NDA rule. He further took a jibe at the Prime Minister and said whether he would felicitate the members of 'National Daamad Aayog'. He asked whether Modi would speak about the 'unconscious state' of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in the same way he once spoke of Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, and whether the PM would honour those nominated by allies as 'sons-in-law of JP.' Tejashwi Yadav alleged that more than 20 scams and 20 lakh crore have been looted in the 20 years of NDA rule in Bihar. The Bihar legislative assembly leader of the opposition has accused the state government of harassing government employees to bring crowds to their rallies at their own expense. Tejashwi Yadav asked PM Modi why the 'brave' and 'valiant' soldiers of the Indian Army, who were eager to teach a 'tough' lesson to the terrorists during Operation Sindoor, were stopped due to the 'cessation of hostilities' agreement between India and Pakistan because of US President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, PM Modi will embark on a two-day visit, beginning with Bihar and Odisha today and then Andhra the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects at Siwan, a major boost to infrastructure and socio-economic development in Bihar. NDA set to secure massive victory in Bihar, says Chhattisgarh Dy CM

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Friday exuded confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will return to power in Bihar with a resounding majority in the upcoming Assembly elections. Speaking to IANS, Arun Sao said, 'The direction in which Bihar is progressing today is a testament to the transformative leadership of the NDA. Under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar has seen a dramatic shift in both development and governance. Those who once looted and ruined the state are now anxious and nervous because the people are choosing progress over propaganda.' He further lauded the Centre's proactive foreign policy and rapid response in times of global crises. 'Whether it was the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the COVID-19 pandemic, or the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, the Modi-led government has consistently safeguarded Indian citizens abroad. "The 'Operation Sindhu', aimed at evacuating Indians from Iran, is already underway, demonstrating the government's commitment to every Indian, whether at home or overseas,' Sao added. Meanwhile, political turbulence continues in the Mahagathbandhan camp. With Assembly polls scheduled for October–November, internal strife over seat-sharing has begun to surface. The alliance, comprising the Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Left parties, appears fractured over key issues like candidates and the choice of a chief ministerial face. The Congress has refrained from publicly endorsing RJD scion Tejashwi Yadav as the alliance's CM candidate, fueling speculation of a deeper rift. Adding further political momentum, PM Modi is on a two-day tour of Bihar, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh on June 20–21. He is expected to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects in Siwan, followed by a public address. As the election drumbeats grow louder, Bihar is poised for a high-stakes political battle, with both the NDA and the Opposition sharpening their strategies for a decisive contest.
