What Teddi Mellencamp's boyfriend thinks of her stage 4 cancer battle after being slammed for dating
Teddi Mellencamp gushed over her new boyfriend after pushing back at trolls who have criticized her for dating while undergoing cancer treatment. During an appearance on iHeart Radio's Diamond in the Rough podcast on Friday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum spoke about the boundaries she has set while still undergoing treatment for her Stage 4 cancer. 'I've had to make it clear to people I've dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I've got,' she explained about her limitations of time and energy. 'If it's enough for you, great. If it's not enough, I won't be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting, but this is all I got to give. And if that's enough, great.' The influencer, 43, shares three children, Slate, 12, Cruz, 10 and Dove, five, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, 48. As for her current guy, with whom she has been seen, but has not publicly identified, she revealed, 'I haven't had to say any of those things, but he is really sweet and kind.' Referencing a recent date, she said, 'He came and picked us up this week from the [horse] show, and he could tell that I was down. He sat and watched, like, one million hours of horse show rounds. He's just a good guy, she said. 'I know I deserve it, and it's really nice,' Mellencamp added. However, if the new guy decides it's all too much for him, the social media star said she would understand. 'If for some reason you realize you need somebody that doesn't have three kids, 1 million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I'm able to give? I understand,' she told her cohost Erika Jayne. Mellencamp said if that were the case she told him, 'I would not be mad at you for not even a second.' However, it seems her new friend is in for the long haul. 'He's like, 'I am willing to do anything to be able to spend time with you."' When it comes to her cancer battle, the influencer had some hopeful news and some disappointing news to share on her own Two Ts in a Pod podcast with her friend and co-host Tamara Judge. Following her most recent MRI, doctors found 'the tumors have not grown at all, if anything they're shrinking, I'm in the one-percent range of improvement.' 'If for some reason you realize you need somebody that doesn't have three kids, 1 million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I'm able to give? I understand,' she told her cohost Erika Jayne The Certified Wellness coach has been undergoing immunotherapy to treat her cancer which she has revealed often leave her felling tired and run down, following a series of radiation treatments. Doctors removed four tumors from her brain in February, but others remained in her brain and lungs. In spite of the improvements, Mellencamp said the doctors told her that she still has stage 4 cancer. All though she took the news with grace, the personal trainer said she was hoping they would tell her something else. 'I think I believe I'm going to go in and they're gonna say "wow, it's a miracle and you no longer have any cancer."'

Teddi Mellencamp's new boyfriend is "really sweet and kind". The 43-year-old TV star has tried to keep the identity of her new man under wraps, but Teddi has offered an insight into their burgeoning romance. Speaking on the Diamonds in the Rough podcast, Teddi shared: "I've had to make it clear to people I've dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I've got. "If it's enough for you, great. If it's not enough, I won't be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting, but this is all I got to give. And if that's enough, great." Teddi then shared some details about their relationship, revealing that her boyfriend has been a really supportive influence in her life. The reality TV star - who has Slate, 12, Cruz, ten, and Dove, five, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave - said: "He is really sweet and kind. I know I deserve it, and it's really nice." Teddi is battling stage four cancer but previously revealed that her tumours had all either "shrunk or disappeared". Despite this, Teddi would understand if her boyfriend got cold feet about their romance. She said: "If for some reason you realise you need somebody that doesn't have three kids, 1 million activities to do, 87 podcasts, you want more time than I'm able to give? I understand. "I would not be mad at you for not even a second. He's like, 'I am willing to do anything to be able to spend time with you.'" Teddi previously explained that she wants to keep her boyfriend's identity a secret because he's a "private person". Speaking on her Two Ts In a Pod podcast, which she co-hosts with Tamra Judge, Teddi said: "I'm dating somebody. "He's very kind to me, he's taking good care of me. He's nice … he's not married, he doesn't have any kids. But he's also a private person."

Teddi Mellencamp celebrated new hair growth in an emotional post on social media Monday. The former reality star, 43, who has been enjoying a new romance amid her cancer battle, shared the new using some before and after photos or her shaved head. 'Today was the first day I noticed a real change in my hair regrowth,' the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum wrote. Mellencamp, who was diagnosed with stage four melanoma said, 'Cancer comes with so many emotions: anger, sadness, loneliness,' she wrote. However, there are some side effects to the immunotherapy doctor have been using to save her life. 'I feel like I live in a fog, and I can't help but beat myself up on all of the ways I am falling short. I just desperately want to be back to my usual self,' she explained. 'So this little bit of hair growth, this change from May 12th (second slide) to today, June 16th, made me smile. It's amazing what my body can do.' The photos clearly show the amazing change that took place during the dates Mellencamp referred to. Her scars from the surgery to remove four tumors from her brain were clearly visible. Fans who were going through or had gone through something similar offered their support. 'I totally get what you are going through,' wrote one. 'I too am going through the fight of stage 4 melanoma and I have all the feelings you feel it's terrible ... you just want to be your old self... keep up the fight ...immunotherapy is amazing ... ❤️' 'My hair looks exactly the same after 6 months of grueling chemo, prayers for us both ❤️,' shared another fighter. 'Praying I know it all to well but… I just had my first haircut in over a year of growth ! Our bodies are amazing and you are doing amazing!' a fellow survivor shared. 'People have been coming for me about fostering a dog, and they've been coming for me for dating,' she said of the criticism she has received for these decisions. '[They say], "The only thing she should be worried about right now are her kids and staying alive."' 'If you want to date… life doesn't stop because you have cancer,' Judge asserted. 'Yeah. And if I want to put myself in a situation where I'm staying busy so I'm not getting depressed, why have a problem with that?' the personal trailer asked rhetorically. She quoted her critics as saying: 'The only thing she should be worrying about right now are her kids and staying alive. How in the world could she be dating?' Mellencamp argued that 'if I want to put myself in a situation where I'm staying busy so I'm not getting depressed, why have a problem with that? And clearly I'm not going on dates while my kids are sitting here, looking up, waiting to hang out with me.' Judge then pointed out that Arroyave has partial custody of the children, hitting out at the trolls: 'So when he has them, what are you supposed to do? Sit in bed and cry about your health? People are just - if you're not in this situation, shut up.' Mellencamp confessed that she would 'like to say that it doesn't bother me, but it does. As for her health, she noted that she has been 'feeling better in the way that I'm probably working out four or five times a week. Fostering this puppy has been really nice. It's given the kids a lot of happiness.' The broadside comes after Mellencamp was seen with Arroyave during their daughter Slate's graduation from 'lower school' in Los Angeles last Friday.
