4 of a family killed, four injured as car crashes into divider

Jhansi: In the early hours of Thursday, a car accident claimed the lives of four members of a family, including two women, while four others were critically injured after their vehicle hit a road divider on Jhansi-Kanpur highway in Jhansi district. A family of eight members was travelling from their native place in Siddharthnagar to Maharashtra. Around 3.30am, as their vehicle was passing village Khilli under the jurisdiction of Pooch police station, the driver lost control and crashed into the divider. The force of the collision left the vehicle completely damaged, causing immediate deaths of three occupants. Police and a rescue team arrived at the spot following alerts from some passersby. Rescuers had to cut open the wrecked vehicle to extricate the occupants, all of whom were then rushed to Jhansi Medical College. Medical staff declared Asma Khan, 40, her fifteen-year-old daughter Parveen, and the driver Amir, 45, dead on arrival, while Asma's husband Ubaidur Rehman, 45, later succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Ubaidur's father Shabuddin, 70, and three children including a daughter, all 6 to 10 years old, were critical condition. SO JP Pall of Pooch police station stated that preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle was travelling at a high speed and it is possible the driver may have dozed off. 'Usko manjoor nahi tha ki..' This actress left her boyfriend a year before her death, broke up due to..., her name was...

Usko manjoor nahi tha ki..' This actress left her boyfriend a year before her death, broke up due to..., her name was... For several years, there's been endless rumours and gossips about Kabir Bedi and Parveen Babi's relationship, and why they broke up suddenly. While, many villainised Bedi as he walked away, the actor once opened up and revealed his side of the story. Kabir revealed that when they went to London, he observed Parveen wasn't keeping well mentally, and persuaded her to seek help. Well, it was the major reason why she left him, and refused to heed his advice. While talking to Digital Commentary, Kabir was quoted saying, 'Vo toh isliye humare relationship ki khatam hui kyunki jab Italy ke baad hum London aaye mai ne dekha uski condition kharab ho rahi hai. Aur usko yeh manjoor nahi tha, jab ki mai janta tha ki agar vo treatment nahi legi toh haal bigadta jayega. Or is baat pe huamri separation hogayi.' The actor also revealed how he was accused for their breakup, with many claiming the reason was Parveen's mental instability. Defending himself at that time, Kabir said, 'I was demonised but I thought that I could either clear up the misunderstanding and make her look bad or just keep quiet and let her get the sympathy and get the roles so that she can reestablish herself and her career. I spoke about it five years later at the Filmfare.' Kabir also recalled meeting Parveen just a year prior her death, 'I met her a year before she passed away. She was laying beside the pool, sunning herself and she said, 'Oh, Kabir.' She was embarassed to see me, she had changed a lot. She told me, 'I'm fine but people think I'm mad.' I told her, 'You have made accusations against people and naturally they will have an opinion.' She looked at me and said, 'You also think I'm mad. You are one of them. I don't want to see you again. Please leave.' I wished her well and left. I was sorry to see her in that state. But she had a flat and she was looked after, she was working as an interior designer.' Kabir concluded by saying that he always cared for her and wanted her to seek help. But, her fear of losing out on work and other opportunities, was the major issue, hence his attempts failed to support her.

Parveen Babi banished Kabir Bedi a year before her death; Mahesh Bhatt saw her worst mood swings: ‘You also think I'm mad'

Late actor Parveen Babi's life story remains one of the most tragic tales to come out of the Hindi film industry. In a recent interaction, actor Kabir Bedi, who was in a brief relationship with Parveen, spoke about witnessing the early stages of her mental health struggles. He also recalled seeing Parveen just a year before her death in 2005. During an interaction with Filmfare, Kabir admitted that Parveen's biggest fear was people finding out about her mental health issues when she was the biggest star in the country, as she feared it would end her career. He said, 'This was her biggest fear that if people found out that she has any mental instability, the industry would stop taking her. Can you imagine from her point of view having so much beauty and talent and films being offered to you but trying to conceal your mental problem from everybody, because if you let them know, they will drop you like a hot potato.' Kabir Bedi revealed that he persuaded Parveen Babi to seek help while they were in London, but the actress refused to heed his advice. He recalled, 'I advised Parveen to see someone in London because there were best people to treat her there and also she was away from all this, but she wouldn't hear of it. She didn't like the pressure that I was putting on her and, at the same time, her film Amar Akbar Anthony in India became a huge hit. She decided to return to India and went on to do many more films, but battling through the most terrible problems all the while. About that period… Mahesh Bhatt would know more about it because he was with her.' For the unversed, Parveen Babi started dating filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt after she parted ways with Kabir Bedi. Talking about working with Parveen while being in a relationship with her, Kabir said, 'She was very professional our relationship never entered the set. She had mood swings but they weren't as bad as what Mahesh saw later on. Mahesh saw the worst of it.' After Parveen Babi and Kabir Bedi parted ways, the latter was villainised and blamed for their breakup, with many claiming it triggered Parveen's mental instability. Speaking about the same and why he didn't defend himself at that time, Kabir shared, 'I was demonised but I thought that I could either clear up the misunderstanding and make her look bad or just keep quiet and let her get the sympathy and get the roles so that she can reestablish herself and her career. I spoke about it five years later at the Filmfare.' The Kismat actor also recalled meeting Parveen just a year before her death. He shared, 'I met her a year before she passed away. But she had a flat and she was looked after, she was working as an interior designer.'

Kabir Bedi on open marriage with first wife Protima, growing close to Parveen Babi: ‘Somebody has an affair, then someone else has an affair'

Veteran actor Kabir Bedi, who once made headlines for his unconventional open marriage with his first wife, Protima Gupta, recently opened up in an interview with Filmfare about how turbulent that relationship eventually became. 'See, when you talk about us having an open marriage, it's not like we married and we had an open marriage,' he said. 'We did try the traditional model for a long time. But at times, what happens is somebody has an affair, then someone else has an affair, and then the problem of outside relationships comes into the marriage. Egos take over, you become possessive, and what not. And the fact that it does upset you, despite you being an advocate of free love… The fact is, it's very hard for an open marriage to succeed.' Kabir revealed that the decision to have an open marriage came only later, as an attempt to salvage what was already falling apart. 'In our case, it was adopted at the end of the marriage because there was no other way to keep the marriage together. We tried that, and it failed.' He also recalled a pivotal moment when Protima left him and the children to pursue a life in dance, moving abruptly to learn Odissi. 'All I could say was, 'If that's what your spirit tells you, then take that flight and go.'' Kabir added, 'I said I would look after the kids.' It was around that time that he grew closer to actress Parveen Babi, which further complicated matters. 'It became another upheaval as I left home, which was very difficult and painful. But it was inevitable, given the state of our marriage at that time, it wasn't just working.' Also Read | Kabir Bedi says all his 4 marriages lasted over 7 years, had 'significant relationships, not one-night stands': 'I was indiscriminate in my choice of women' Kabir also spoke about the tensions between Protima and Parveen. 'Parveen was always bothered by Protima because she believed that Protima wanted to get back together with me, and she was very certain of that,' he said. 'So anything to do with meeting Protima caused terrible scenes. But I was like, I have to meet Protima. I cannot not meet her. I have children with her. I have to see the children. I have to talk to her about the children.' He further clarified that Parveen did not take on a parental role. 'There were times, when we got together, Protima had to go out, and I had to look after the children. But it was not like Parveen looked after the children,' he said. 'Sure, the children would visit her and talk to her. But I wanted time alone with them as well. So it was a difficult situation, not easy to handle. But I dealt with it. In the middle of a career, dealing with emotions, dealing with the needs of the children, creates a huge strain, a huge pressure. But that's what we created, and that's what we had to live with and do.'

This Actress' Love Never Bloomed Parveen Babi, who made her iconic debut with the 1973 film Charitra, later went on a huge spree of hits and blockbusters. Not just fans but even actors loved Parveen, but the actress had a soft corner for none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Did you know that Parveen used to wake up in the middle of the night and scream Amitabh's name? For those who don't know much about the actress, they would think that it was Parveen's love for Big B. However, as per an IMDb report, during the late 80s, Parveen was suffering from schizophrenia. She was getting treated for it in Bangalore. And the time when she screamed in the middle of the night was one of her episodes of schizophrenia. All these episodes happened during the time when Parveen and Amitabh were filming for Dostana. At that time, Parveen was alleged to be in a relationship with Mahesh Bhatt, and when the incident reached Mahesh, he decided to meet Amitabh personally. Later, Mahesh went to the Dostana sets because Parveen had a severe mental illness. He then begged Amitabh to be especially kind to her. After listening to Mahesh's experience, Amitabh promised to try his best. Mahesh and Parveen were in a relationship for three years, and then they parted ways. The main reason for their separation was Parveen's health. Apart from Mahesh Bhatt, Parveen also dated Danny Denzongpa and Kabir Bedi.
