Nothing Phone (3) teaser shows the brand could be killing off one of its most iconic features

A recent teaser shared on X introduces what Nothing calls the "Glyph Matrix." From what little has been shown, the new lighting setup appears in the top right corner of the phone's back and replaces the more intricate Glyph Interface seen on past models. It's a noticeable shift in layout and philosophy, suggesting a new chapter for how Nothing uses lighting as part of its design language. This isn't just a minor tweak. The company has updated its social media branding to reflect the new matrix-style design, and fans are already debating what it could mean. The teaser is short on specifics, but the name and form factor imply a dot-matrix-style display, possibly allowing for more freedom in customization. Interestingly, as noted on this report, this fresh look doesn't match the previously leaked renders for the Phone (3), which had suggested a more traditional Glyph layout. Those images are now suspected to be of the more affordable Phone 3a or early prototypes, especially as more official teasers emerge. There have already been quite a few teasers and leaks, but that's not enough. Here comes your very first look at the upcoming Nothing Phone (3)! — Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) June 10, 2025 If this new direction holds, it could bring a level of user control not seen in earlier models. A matrix LED system might support simple text, symbols, or even user-generated animations. That could be especially appealing to creators or anyone wanting to display logos or alerts with a personal touch. And while Nothing hasn't confirmed whether these lights are RGB or monochrome, multicolor support would make the feature even more dynamic. It's clear that Nothing wants to evolve its hardware identity without losing the distinct visual elements that helped it stand out in the first place. Dropping the original Glyph Interface is a bold move, but one that might pay off if the new system offers enough flexibility and function. We'll need to wait for a full reveal to understand how far this customization goes, which should be happening very soon on July 1st. However, for now, the Glyph Matrix points to a more playful and expressive future for the Phone (3) lineup, which is something we rarely see these days from many other phone manufacturers — and I am definitely here for it.

Samsung just tipped to show off Project Moohan headset during Galaxy Unpacked in July

In a few short weeks, Samsung's annual summer Galaxy Unpacked event, where we expect to see the latest foldables in the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. We should additionally see the new Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches. According to a new rumor, we might also get another glimpse of Project Moohan, the company's forthcoming Android XR headset. Tipster PandaFlashPro posted on X that Samsung would have Project Moohan at "July Unpacked 2025." Almost immediately, another regular leaker, Max Jambor, rejected that report. Today (June 13), they returned to confirm the earlier report. "My source just confirmed it, Samsung is going to show it off at their Unpacked event!" PandaFlash posted. "They won't be revealing all the details, and later this year available in South Korea, than slowly other countries." They added that Samsung will have a dedicated Unpacked event, but no date for that one. Samsung has been fairly light on specs for the headset despite showing it off several times between the January Unpacked reveal, MWC 2025 and Google I/O in May. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. We got an in-person glimpse of the headset in a Qualcomm booth during AWE 2025 this week. However, beyond Qualcomm's new AR+1 Gen 1 chip, which is slated for the best smart glasses, it could also feature in headsets in conjunction with the XR2+ processor. Otherwise, no new details were shared specifically about Moohan. Coinciding with PandaFlash's rumor, during an earnings call earlier this year, Samsung confirmed that XR devices would be released in the second half of 2025. Beyond that, of course, it will be powered by Android XR, and a recent leaked benchmark revealed that it will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 2 processor, which is built specifically for XR devices. It could have up to 16 GB of RAM. For panels, Moohan might utilize a pair of Sony 1.3-inch 4K OLED on Silicon panels. These screens could offer a pixel density of 3,800 ppi, or more than the 3,391 ppi Sony displays in the Apple Vision Pro. We're still waiting on pricing and more in-depth specs for the headset. Hopefully, Samsung will finally share a bit more in July.

July is going to be a busy month for smartphone launches in India. From mid-range devices to premium flagships, at least eight new smartphones are expected to launch in July — some already confirmed, others heavily rumoured. Either way, it's clear that brands aren't planning to take a break anytime soon. Also, this isn't just about one brand or one segment. We're talking phones ranging from around Rs 20,000 all the way up to the ultra-premium Rs 2 lakh you're in the market for an affordable upgrade or a top-tier foldable, there's something on the way for everyone. And so, if you're planning to buy a new phone, you might want to hold off just a little longer. Here's a look at all the big upcoming launches expected this July. Let's dive Phone (3)After a two-year gap, Nothing is finally ready with its next flagship — the Phone (3), officially launching worldwide on July 1. This will be the company's first high-end device since the Phone (2) came out in 2023. While Nothing has been busy with its more affordable Phone (3a) and CMF lineups, the Phone (3) is expected to mark a return to the premium space. Carl Pei has already hinted that the Phone (3) won't come cheap, with a possible price of around 800 Pounds (roughly Rs 93,000). However, if past launches are any indication, Indian pricing should be more competitive. Expect the starting price of the phone to be around Rs 70, terms of design, an early render shared via Max Jambor on X (formerly Twitter), shows a departure from the usual Glyph Interface lighting — it might be gone altogether — though the transparent back could remain. The phone is said to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 3,000 nits peak brightness, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video X Fold 5 and X200 FEVivo is rumoured to launch two new smartphones in India on July 10 — the X Fold 5 and X200 FE. While there's no official confirmation yet, both phones have shown up in leaks and certification listings, suggesting an announcement is just around the corner. In fact, the X Fold 5 has been officially confirmed to launch in China on June Vivo X200 FE is expected to be a rebranded version of the S30 Pro Mini, which recently launched in China. It is expected to feature a 6.31-inch OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and possibly a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ or 9400e chipset. The phone may also feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 50-megapixel front camera. Other expected features include a 6,500mAh battery, 90W fast charging, and an IP69 Vivo X Fold 5, on the other hand, is Vivo's answer to Samsung's premium foldables. It's said to pack an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, and a 6,000mAh battery. Vivo might also lower the price this time around, making it one of the more tempting foldables in the ultra-premium space. Interestingly, Vivo has also teased that the upcoming flagship foldable will feature compatibility with a range of Apple devices and services, including the Apple Watch and Nord 5 and Nord CE 5OnePlus is likely to unveil the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 in India soon, with July 8 being the rumoured date. While the company hasn't officially confirmed anything yet, tipster Yogesh Brar previously mentioned the date on X, though the post has since been deleted. That said, leaks have already given us a good idea of what to expect. The phone is expected to launch in the second week of OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to offer a major upgrade over its predecessor. Rumours suggest the phone could be powered by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chip, a large 7,000mAh battery, and support for 100W fast charging. The phone might also feature a flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup could include a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, similar to the Nord the OnePlus Nord CE 5 is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, Dimensity 8350 processor, and a slightly larger 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Pricing is expected to stay competitive, with the Nord 5 likely priced under Rs 35,000 and the Nord CE 5 around Rs 25, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FESamsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and, for the first time, a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at its next Galaxy Unpacked event, tipped for July 10. Yes, this is the same date which is also rumoured to be the India launch date for Vivo's upcoming devices, mentioned above. Nevertheless, there's no official word yet, but most likely, July is the month when we expect Samsung to unveil its three foldables at its Galaxy Unpacked event — possibly alongside a teaser for the triple-fold Galaxy G with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, this one's expected to be sleeker and lighter than ever before. While the design changes are likely to be subtle, Samsung could be focusing on making this the thinnest Fold yet. Rumours suggest the phone could be as slim as 3.9mm when unfolded. It's also tipped to come in silver, black, and blue for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, it may bring a slightly larger cover screen this year, with an Exynos chip powering the phone — a change from the usual Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The Galaxy ZFlip 7 is rumoured to come in black, blue, and coral red colours, and just like last year, we may see 256GB and 512GB storage options, both paired with 12GB big surprise this year could be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE — Samsung's first-ever Fan Edition foldable. If rumours are accurate, this model could retain the core Flip experience while offering it at a more affordable price. Storage variants might include 128GB and 256GB, and it's said to launch in black and white colours.
