Philipp Köhn says he is ready to ‘fight' for his place as Monaco search for a new goalkeeper
Philipp Köhn says he is ready to 'fight' for his place as Monaco search for a new goalkeeper AS Monaco are looking to sign a first-choice goalkeeper this summer. However, Philipp Köhn (27) has not given up hope of earning a place in the team, as he told L'Équipe. Monaco's CEO, Thiago Scuro, stated that the club would be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer. It comes after a season in which the No.1 jersey was passed between Köhn and Radoslaw Majecki, without either goalkeeper truly convincing. Advertisement This has lead Les Monégasques to seek a recruit in this sector. As per L'Équipe, there are a range of targets from Chelsea's Djordje Petrović, to Manchester United's André Onana, to Barcelona's Marc-André Ter Stegen. However, for now, Monaco has yet to land their next No.1. Regardless of the Principality club's intentions in the transfer market, Köhn is ready to fight for his place next season. 'If they want to bring in a new goalkeeper, it is the club's decision. It is okay for me. I will fight for my place. I showed things this season,' said the Swiss goalkeeper. It is thought that the arrival of a new first-choice goalkeeper will lead to one of Majecki or Köhn leaving the club this summer. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

OGC Nice's Marcin Bulka unenthused by Galatasaray move
Marcin Bulka (25) looks highly likely to leave OGC Nice this summer. The Polish goalkeeper, a key player for Le Gym over the past two seasons, has been in talks over a contract renewal. However, towards the start of last season, those talks hit a brick wall. There has been a deadlock ever since, and there is little optimism over a renewal of talks. Determined not to lose him on a free next summer, Nice are looking to sell Bulka during the ongoing transfer window. Initial interest in Le Gym's No.1 has come from Turkey and more specifically from Galatasaray, according to a report from L'Équipe. Advertisement However, the publication understands that Bulka himself is not particularly enthused by a move to the Turkish club, even if they will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season. Galatasaray would be willing to spend €20m on the goalkeeper. Local rivals AS Monaco have also been cited as a potential destination by Foot Mercato. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

Neymar Sr. says his son is attracting interest from Champions League clubs
Since leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar (33) has played just a handful of games. After suffering an ACL injury, he made just seven appearances for Al Hilal, whilst injuries have also restricted the Brazilian to just four league appearances since re-joining his formative club, Santos. He is currently in a familiar position, recovering from injury and building up fitness. However, speaking to L'Équipe, his father, Neymar Sr., has said that his son still retains value on the market and there is no shortage of interested clubs. Advertisement 'They have the right to think that he is finished, but I see an interested market,' he told the publication. He then went on to reveal that clubs in Europe who will next season play in the UEFA Champions League are interested in signing the former PSG and Barcelona forward. L'Équipe understands that Fenerbahçe, notably, are interested in signing the player. Neymar Sr. added that this week, he will be in Miami to talk with clubs, whilst he didn't rule out his son remaining in Brazil. 'There is a big chance that he stays at Santos. I'm working on that, but that doesn't prevent us from listening to other clubs,' he added. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

Nantes determined to keep Premier League target Matthis Abline
FC Nantes are determined to keep hold of Matthis Abline (22) this summer, despite significant interest from several clubs, as per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Olympique de Marseille have already submitted a bid for the forward, currently on international duty with the France U21s. However, this bid, thought to be worth around €15m, as per L'Équipe, was rejected. Nantes' president, Waldemar Kita, has since given a warning to OM that they would have to pay €50m to sign Abline. That price tag only applies to Marseille and is the result of tensions between the two clubs. Kita did not appreciate how OM secured the signings of two of his former players: Valentin Rongier and Quentin Merlin. Advertisement The price tag would perhaps be lower for the likes of Brentford, Burnley, Sunderland, and Lille OSC, all of whom are also interested in the player. However, Toubache-Ter understands Nantes are absolutely determined to keep Abline, who only joined the club on a permanent deal last summer from Stade Rennais for €10m. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

Karel Geraerts tops Reims' shortlist for new head coach
According to a report from L'Équipe, Karel Geraerts tops Stade de Reims's shortlist for their new head coach following the departure of Samba Diawara. The Champagne club reportedly interviewed Geraerts and were convinced by the Belgian's profile. However, Geraerts, a free agent since September, after he was sacked from Schalke 04, has not yet given Reims a definitive answer. The club are faced with certain issues that could detract from the attractiveness of the role; they will likely have to sell this summer, while the budget will also be tightened after suffering a relegation to Ligue 2 via the playoffs. Advertisement Reims had been linked with Philippe Montanier, who has not had a head coaching role since leaving Toulouse FC in 2023 after leading the club to their first-ever Coupe de France title. However, Mohamed Toubache-Ter reported that conversations had cooled between the two parties. L'Équipe points to Olivier Dall'Oglio as another option if Geraerts cannot be convinced. He had led AS Saint-Étienne to promotion in the 2023/24 season, but was sacked in the past campaign following a poor set of results. GFFN | Nick Hartland
