Search for Travis Decker; Pewaukee native believed to be spotted

PEWAUKEE, Wis. - Law enforcement agencies believe they are on the trail of a Pewaukee native suspected of killing his three children. What we know Travis Decker is accused of killing his three young daughters in Washington State. Authorities in Washington confirmed three girls, ages 5, 8 and 9, were found dead on Monday, June 2. The Chelan County Sheriff's Office received a tip from a hiking party, the sheriff's office announced on Tuesday, June 10. The hikers reported seeing a lone individual in the Enchantments area who appeared "ill-prepared for the conditions" and appeared to be "avoiding others." Tracking teams responded and found a lone, off-trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake. The individual reportedly ran from sight as the helicopter passed. Additional resources were called to the area, and K9 units were deployed after teams picked up a trail. The subject was tracked to the Ingalls Creek Trailhead area on Highway 97. What you can do Individuals in the area with cabins or residences in the Blewett Pass/Highway 97 area are urged to report suspicious activity, lock their doors and vehicles and look out for neighbors' property. Those with cameras are asked to check them or submit a tip to the U.S. Marshals tip line with the camera's location for law enforcement review. If Decker is sighted, you are asked to call 911 immediately and not attempt to contact or approach him. Deputies also recently announced a $20,000 cash reward for any information leading to Decker's arrest. Decker lived out of his truck. The vehicle was found, but there is no sign of him. Local perspective Decker graduated from Pewaukee High School. He was a wrestler while attending the school. His brother told FOX6 News Decker graduated in 2010. Investigators say Decker kidnapped his three daughters 5-year-old Olivia, 8-year-old Evenlyn and 9-year-old Paityn, who were found dead at the Rock Island Campground outside of Leavenworth, Washington. Investigators say the preliminary cause of death for each was asphyxiation. A GoFundMe to help the children's mother, Whitney, cover expenses and legal costs has surpassed $1 million. Breaking News Reporter Corey Arwood spent time at each of the three sheriff's offices on the Treasure Coast with their K-9 Units. He watched the training process in some specially-made facilities and learned about some new developments in K-9 protection. One of those developments is that several sheriffs offices and police departments have upgraded use of technology for their K-9 Units with an app to help them analyze performance better than before. Why was this an important local story to report? Everyone loves the cute, obedient police dogs sometimes seen around the Treasure Coast in their bullet-proof dog vests. But do you really know how they can protect you? Did you know there's at least 55 of them working to keep you safe? We take you on a tour of upgraded facilities where the working dogs learn their trades, show you the dogs in action with their trainers, and give you an idea of a law enforcement dog's daily schedule. We explain a change in record keeping at some K-9 units on the Treasure Coast that offers a previously unavailable detailed view of the results of dog deployments. These dogs are considered 'less-lethal uses of force.' Their discoveries of weapons or narcotics, for example, could lead to decades of jail time for someone in a traffic stop, or to the tracking and rescue of a missing person. What surprised you about this story? Not all law enforcement agencies on the Treasure Coast are using technology to keep track of and analyze what their K-9 dogs and handlers are doing. Some agencies use more traditional reporting methods like a combination of incident details documented through their dispatch system, and training records kept on paper in binders. That's been described as a 'data silo' where records are stored independently and remain disconnected without correlation or analysis. So any time an officer wants to identify the amount of cocaine collected in a month or the number of people bit last year, for example, they have to go through records of dispatch notes and collect and calculate the results. As with some other data retrieval and storage systems, questions remain about who maintains ownership of that data and for what purposes can it be used or shared during or after discontinuation of the service. Man wanted following attempted stabbing in Oshawa
Police in Durham Region are searching for a male suspect who allegedly attempted to stab two people in Oshawa on June 1, 2025. Police in Durham Region are searching for a male suspect who allegedly attempted to stab two people in Oshawa on Sunday night. The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on June 1 along Danzatore Path, which is in the area of Steeplechase Street and Windfields Farm Drive. They say a man was walking along Danzatore Path when he allegedly approached two people walking in the opposite direction, pulled out a knife, and tried to stab them before fleeing. Neither were physically injured, according to police. Durham police and K9 units attended the scene and attempted to locate the man but were unsuccessful. 'The motive remains under investigation, and what led to the incident is still unknown,' Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said in a release. The suspect is described as a Black male, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten, approximately 20 years old, and was last seen wearing a black Safari wide-brim hat, sunglasses, a grey hoodie, and a black Jansport backpack. Police are asking anyone with video footage from the area to come forward or contact Crime Stopper anonymously.

Man hospitalized after Providence shooting
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after a shooting happened in Providence Sunday night. Col. Oscar Perez told 12 News officers were called to the area of Branch Avenue and Woodward Road for reports of a shooting. When they got there, they found a man with gunshot wounds. The man, 22, was taken to the hospital. Police had a shopping complex in the area blocked off and used K-9 units to search the parking lot. Two people suffer serious injuries in alleged assault in Muskoka, OPP investigating
Ontario Provincial Police and crime unit officers are investigating what the authorities are calling a 'serious incident' in a wooded area in Gravenhurst. Police say two people were reportedly assaulted in an area west of Muskoka Road South just before midnight on Tuesday. The two individuals were taken to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities were not disclosed. Police officers descended on the area of Muskoka Road South/County Road 169 and James Street in Gravenhurst in the early morning hours on Wednesday, and are advising residents in the area of Muskoka Road South and Manitoba Street, north of Monck Road in Bracebridge to expect a heavy police presence, including tactical and K9 units, plus forensic officers, with the investigation underway. While police didn't reveal whether they are looking for any suspects, they did confirm there is 'currently no threat to the safety of the general public.' Bracebridge OPP urges anyone with information to contact the detachment at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
