After Raveena Tandon And Rasha Thadani, Nysa Devgan To Carry Forward Kajol's Acting Legacy?

Last Updated: Kajol has reaffirmed that Nysa has no acting plans. Kajol and Raveena Tandon have been among the top actresses in the 90s. While Kajol has often said that her daughter Nysa isn't interested in Bollywood, Raveena's daughter Rasha Thandani recently made her debut. Rasha quickly captivated the audience with her acting prowess, and fans wonder if Nysa is also a naturally gifted actor. However, in a recent chat with Filmygyan, Kajol reaffirmed that Nysa has no acting plans. When asked if Nysa will take her legacy forward like Rasha is doing for Raveena, Kajol said, 'No, I don't think she will. She is not interested in movies. I love all the kids in my family and I would want them to do exactly what gives them happiness and whatever they feel they'll succeed in." In an interview with Pinkvilla, Kajol was asked whether her children, Nysa and Yug, are more attached to her or Ajay Devgn. Reacting to this, the actress proudly stated that they both are her kids, and she is happy that 'they are very much their own people". Explaining this further, the actress recalled how once she asked her son Yug who he wished to look like, his father Ajay or his mother. It was his answer that surprised Kajol. Kajol shared, 'He looked at me like I'm holding a gun on his head. And he looked at me very calmly and very diplomatically turned around and says, 'I look like Yug. I am Yug'. So I think that defines my children." She added, 'I'm very, very happy to say that I've brought up two individuals who have their own personalities, who I hope have taught to think for themselves and I think that's been my biggest teaching as a parent." About Kajol's Film Maa Maa is backed by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak, with Jio Studios and Devgn Films presenting the project. The music of the film is composed by Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna and Shiv Malhotra. The film's plot revolves around a mother who fights supernatural forces to defend her daughter from a demonic curse that has its roots in a cursed village. It combines mythology and horror to explore the depths of a mother's determination and the strength of a divine force (Goddess Kali). Apart from Kajol, the film also features an ensemble cast including Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Gopal Singh, Jitin Gulati, Kherin Sharma, Surjyasikha Das, Yaaneea Bharadwaj and Roopkatha Chakraborty. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali languages on June 27, 2025. First Published:

Son of Sardaar 2 OTT Release: Where to watch Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt's action comedy after its theatrical run

Son of Sardaar 2 OTT Release: After over a decade, the wildly popular Sardar is back, and this time, he's bringing an even louder dhol with him. Son of Sardaar 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2012 comedy-action entertainer, is all set to hit theatres on July 25, 2025. But if you're not a fan of the big screen rush or just prefer your popcorn at home, there's good news: the film will stream exclusively on Netflix after its theatrical run. Cast and crew of Son of Sardaar 2 Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 brings back the fan-favourite pairing of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt, whose on-screen rivalry in the original won over masses and single screens alike. Also joining the cast is Mrunal Thakur, stepping in as the new female lead. Other known faces include Sanjay Mishra (replacing Vijay Raaz), Ravi Kishan, Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, and the late Mukul Dev. The script has been penned by celebrated Punjabi writer Jagdeep Sidhu, while music duties go to Himesh Reshammiya. Son of Sardaar 2 is being produced under Ajay Devgn's home banner, in collaboration with Jio Studios and T-Series. More about Son of Sardaar 2 The film's shooting began in July 2024 and travelled across stunning locales from Scotland's Edinburgh and Firth of Forth to London's buzzing streets, before returning to India for major chunks in Chandigarh and rural Punjab. A teaser for the film has already been approved by the CBFC and is expected to drop in late June 2025, possibly attached to Kajol's upcoming horror thriller Maa. Recap Released in 2012, Son of Sardaar was a boisterous masala film that clicked big time at the box office. Ajay played a London-return Sardar caught in a centuries-old family feud in Punjab, hosted (and almost killed) by his enemies, led by Sanjay Dutt's intense Billu. But the twist? Indian hospitality rules meant Jassi couldn't be harmed inside the house, giving birth to cat-and-mouse comedy, romance (with Sonakshi Sinha), and stylised action.
