Zendaya And Timothée Chalamet's Kids In 'Dune 3' Casting
A hill I will gladly die on is that Dune: Part Two was the best movie of 2024. And so, whenever I'm feeling a little down, it helps to remember that Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya will be returning for a third Dune film in the not-too-distant future. For context, Denis Villeneuve's first two Dune movies, Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two, were both based on the events that take place in Frank Herbert's first Dune novel, which came out in 1965. The third and final movie from Denis's Dune trilogy is confirmed to be an adaptation of the second and more controversial book in the series, Dune: Messiah, which picks up 12 years after the events at the end of Dune: Part Two. The film will likely be called Dune: Messiah or Dune: Part Three, but for now, most people are referring to it as Dune 3, so we'll go with that. So far, we don't have a ton of solid information on Dune 3, other than that it's definitely happening and will likely start shooting this summer. It's expected that Timmy and Zendaya will return as Paul Atreides and Chani, along with Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin, whose characters all feature in Dune: Messiah. It's also been reported that Robert Pattinson is in talks to play the villain role of Scytale… but we won't get too excited just yet. And now, as Timothée and Zendaya are likely preparing to get their stillsuits back on, there's a new report about two exciting additions to the cast — the young actors who will play Paul and Chani's twin children: Leto II and Ghanima. According to Deadline, Ghanima will be played by Ida Brooke, who you may know from Silo, while Leto II will be portrayed by a newcomer called Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, who, as you may have guessed, happens to be the child of Jason Mamoa and Lisa Bonet. There have been a lot of reactions to the reports, which, as it stands, have not been fully confirmed. However, the main topic of conversation is how damn accurate the casting is?! Like, I'm not sure they could've found two kids who look more like they could be the biological kids of Timothée and Zendaya? Another fun element to all this — and this is your OFFICIAL SPOILER WARNING — is that Nakoa-Wolf will likely get to share the screen with his dad, who has confirmed that he will be making a 'comeback' as Duncan Idaho, his character who died in Dune: Part One. (If you're confused, it might be an idea to read the books.) Anyway, I, for one, am super excited about this. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Jason Momoa's son Nakoa-Wolf and Ida Brooke join ‘Dune: Messiah' as Paul Atreides' twin children
Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, son of Jason Momoa, and rising actor Ida Brooke (Silo) are set to join Dune 3 as the twin children of Paul Atreides and Chani, according to Deadline. In Denis Villeneuve's highly anticipated follow-up to Dune: Part Two, the newcomers will portray Leto II and Ghanima, the 'pre-born' offspring of Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya). The twins, introduced at the end of Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah, are born with prescient abilities and ancestral memories — key traits that will shape the future of the franchise canon. While plot details remain tightly guarded, the casting signals a narrative time jump. Villeneuve appears to be merging events from Dune: Messiah and Children of Dune, accelerating the arc of Paul's rise and reckoning as Emperor Muad'Dib. The inclusion of older actors in the roles suggests the twins will play a central part in the story, not just appear as infants. This will be Nakoa-Wolf Momoa's film debut, and it may mark a rare on-screen pairing with his father, Jason Momoa, who is expected to return as a resurrected ghola version of Duncan Idaho. Villeneuve, who has turned Dune into a box office powerhouse with the first two chapters earning $1.12 billion globally and racking up eight Oscars, is closing in on the final act of his trilogy. While a title and release date for Dune 3 have yet to be announced, casting momentum is building. Robert Pattinson is rumored to play shapeshifting antagonist Scytale, and returning cast members like Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, and Anya Taylor-Joy are expected.

Dune 3 gets an exciting filming update which will reassure fans
Dune fans who are eagerly awaiting the third instalment will be pleased to hear that filming should be underway very, very soon. According to Deadline, filming on Dune 3 will begin in July which tracks with previous reports that the production was aiming for a summer start. Last July Dune 3's release date was confirmed for 18 December, 2026 and hopefully the film should still be on track to come out as planned. Dune 3 will see Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh all returning to the franchise. Pugh's character Princess Irulan is expected to take on a bigger role in the third instalment with director Denis Villeneuve previously comparing her importance to Zendaya's character Chani. Related: Best streaming services in 2025 He told Moviefone: "Of course, if there's a Dune Messiah as we plan, [Irulan will] become one of the prominent characters of that whole series. I'm doing a bit of what I did with Zendaya in the first movie. "I introduced Chani in Dune and then she becomes one of the main characters in Part Two. I do the same with Florence, I just introduced her in Part Two and if there's a Dune Messiah, she becomes one of the main characters." One more surprising name that will also be back is Jason Momoa whose character Duncan Idaho died in the first movie and was not present in the second. Related: Dune 3 will adapt Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah where Momoa's character Idaho is cloned and brought back to life as an artificially created human known as a ghola. The cast of Dune 3 may also have a big name addition as in April it was reported that Robert Pattinson had been offered a role, though his casting has not yet been confirmed. Dune 3 will be released on December 18, 2026. Dune: Part Two is available to buy in the UK from , , and more. Digital Spy's first print magazine is here! Watch: Marvel unveils Galactus head popcorn bucket for 'Fantastic Four'
June 4 (UPI) -- Marvel Entertainment has unveiled the Galactus Popcorn Vessel, a movie theater bucket themed after upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The bucket was unveiled Wednesday in a video utilizing clips from the film spliced together with footage of the container. The popcorn bucket is modeled after the head of planet-eating villain Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson. The container is billed as "the universe's biggest popcorn vessel," measuring 17.5 inches tall and 20 inches wide. The Fantastic Four: First Steps releases in theaters July 25. Several other films have recently launched with themed popcorn buckets, including Dune: Part Two, Alien: Romulus, Gladiator II and A Minecraft Movie.
