Chanel expands in Latin America with Riviera Maya flagship
The spirit of Chanel has arrived in Cancún. Nestled in the Riviera Maya's La Isla shopping destination, the new 360-square-meter boutique brings together every facet of the house's savoir-faire, offering clients a full sensory journey through its ready-to-wear, fine jewelry, watches, accessories, and interior design collections. Longtime Chanel collaborator Peter Marino designed the boutique's interiors, blending refined craftsmanship with modern sophistication. Inside, clients can explore the brand's complete ready-to-wear universe, including apparel, handbags, shoes, eyewear, costume jewelry, and fragrances. The boutique also features dedicated salons for Chanel's fine watches and high jewelry collections. A dedicated salon inside the boutique highlights Chanel's Première and J12 timepieces, alongside fine jewelry collections such as Coco Crush, N°5, and Camélia. The footwear section combines timeless staples like classic slingbacks with new arrivals from the 2024/25 Métiers d'art collection, displayed against tweed-upholstered walls and bronze-accented finishes. The boutique's design draws directly from Gabrielle Chanel's legendary apartment on rue Cambon in Paris. It balances polished surfaces and rich textiles with contemporary artworks by Priscilla Rattazzi and Eric Haze, creating a refined and immersive environment. Outside, the boutique's façade turns heads with its sculptural blend of black volcanic stone and carved white Thasos marble, mimicking the pleats of fine fabric and lending architectural depth to the space. The Cancún opening forms part of Chanel's broader global growth strategy led by CEO Leena Nair. For 2025, the brand is focusing on expansion across key markets, including China, India, and Mexico. In October 2023, Chanel debuted its first Latin American boutique dedicated exclusively to ready-to-wear at Mexico City's Artz Pedregal shopping center. Initially a temporary space, the location is set to evolve into a permanent boutique.

These Stunning Chanel Diamonds Are Devon Lee Carlson's Favorite
Nothing feels like a luxury fairytale quite like an evening filled with jewels in Kyoto. Earlier this week, Chanel celebrated the launch of its 'Reach for the Stars' high jewelry collection among fashion's most fabulous with a stunning excursion to Japan. For 'It' girl and style icon Devon Lee Carlson, the night was a whirlwind dream. Before heading out, Carlson playfully stacked her Coco Crush bracelets and rings, which perfectly complemented the edgy vibe of her sequined leather halter dress. The impressive collection consists of 109 pieces that deeply honor the historic legacy of Gabrielle Chanel. Signature motifs abound—lions, comets, and the debut of wings, all of which reference iconic moments throughout the designer's life. Chanel's star sign, Leo, is manifested through her lifelong collection of feline sculptures. Since then, the lion has become an integral symbol for the brand's high jewelry collections. Meanwhile, the comet represents a direct through-line to Chanel's first-ever 1932 Bijoux de Diamants line, a revolutionary idea in the diamond space amidst turmoil of that year. Finally, and perhaps most important, are the wings. This motif is represented in pieces such as the impressive 'Wings of Chanel' necklace, which features a boldly sculptural design and detachable pendant of star-shaped diamonds that doubles as a bracelet (also a favorite of Carlson's). The centerpiece—a cushion-cut Padparadscha sapphire, never before seen in a Chanel high jewelry collection. As the house founder once famously said, 'If you were born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing.'

10 signature jewellery pieces that define luxury brands
2. Bulgari Serpenti Slinky, sculptural and steeped in symbolism, Bulgari's Serpenti has slithered its way into the canon of signature jewellery pieces by luxury brands. Since the 1940s, its sinuous form has wrapped around the wrists and necks of screen sirens and style icons, embodying transformation, eternity and Italian audacity. Crafted with enamel scales or pavé diamonds, Serpenti remains the house's most hypnotic emblem. Don't miss: How Bulgari's Serpenti has evolved over 75 years 3. Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra First launched in 1968, the four-leaf clover of the Alhambra motif has become synonymous with Van Cleef & Arpels. Worn by the likes of Princess Grace of Monaco, this signature piece symbolises luck, love and effortless elegance. Whether in mother-of-pearl, onyx or malachite, the Alhambra is one of the most timeless and recognisable signature jewellery pieces by luxury brands. See more: Van Cleef & Arpels introduces new guilloché yellow gold and blue agate Alhambra jewellery 4. Tiffany & Co Open Heart and T collections From Elsa Peretti's sculptural Open Heart to the architectural lines of the T Collection, Tiffany & Co has no shortage of icons. These designs capture the brand's New York spirit—bold, clean and instantly wearable. As far as signature jewellery pieces by luxury brands go, Tiffany's offerings balance sentimentality with strength. 5. Chanel Camélia and Coco Crush Coco Chanel's favourite flower, the camellia, is immortalised in Chanel's fine jewellery as a delicate, almost ethereal bloom. Meanwhile, Coco Crush, with its quilted motif, translates the maison's haute couture heritage into gold and diamonds. These collections embody the brand's ability to merge fashion and fine craftsmanship into truly signature premium jewellery. 6. Hermès Collier de Chien What began in the 1920s as a chic leather collar for French bulldogs (yes, really) evolved into the Collier de Chien—a metal-studded cuff that would become Hermès' most rebellious signature. Polished yet punk, elegant but dangerous, it's been spotted on everyone from Madonna to modern-day fashion editors. It may not scream Hermès as loudly as a Birkin, but it growls just enough. 7. Graff Butterfly and Icon collections Graff's butterfly motif, rendered in dazzling diamonds, represents the house's obsession with symmetry and light. Its Icon collection, meanwhile, showcases exceptional stones in minimalist settings, letting the gems speak for themselves. For a brand known for record-breaking diamonds, these signature designs are surprisingly restrained—yet utterly unforgettable. 8. Piaget Possession With rotating bands and playful mechanics, Piaget's Possession collection invites interaction. This signature line embodies the house's philosophy of movement, joy and understated glamour. It's a tactile, joyful twist on the classic luxury jewellery narrative. 9. Chaumet's Joséphine tiara rings Chaumet has been crafting tiaras for royalty since the Napoleonic era, but the Joséphine collection cleverly downsized that grandeur into rings and pendants you could wear to dinner without a coronation. Named after Napoleon's empress, these pieces echo tiara silhouettes—pear-shaped diamonds perched like little crowns. Among connoisseurs of haute joaillerie, it's Chaumet's not-so-quiet reminder: some legacies are worn, not shouted. 10. Chopard Happy Diamonds When Chopard launched its Happy Diamonds collection in 1976, the idea of letting diamonds float freely behind sapphire glass was downright radical. But those twirling little gems weren't just playful—they were a revelation. Elegant yet whimsical, Happy Diamonds became a symbol of 20th-century joie de vivre and are still a house staple today. Movement, after all, is the essence of happiness. And luxury that dares to dance? Timeless. See more: Inside Chopard's gold foundry and watchmaking manufacture

Dakota Fanning Took a Risk While Getting Ready for the Chanel Show
The Chanel fall/winter 2025 show marked a milestone for Dakota Fanning. While she has attended several of the fashion house's shows in the past, this was her first in Paris, and seeing the collection at the Grand Palais was a special thrill. '[It's always] a pinch-me dream come true every time. You enjoy it [as if] you'll never go again. You just soak it up,' she tells Fanning celebrated the moment in a gold leather suit that she described as 'a twist on the classic Chanel' and 'a bright, literally shiny thing. It felt like being a ray of sunshine.' A more out-there ensemble than the The Perfect Couple actress usually goes for, Fanning explains,'I wanted to do something to push it a little bit. You're at Paris Fashion Week, you're at the Chanel show, so you can take a little bit of a risk and do something a little different than you would normally.' The suit, a golden crumpled leather jacket with floral detailing on the pockets and matching pants, was from the Métiers d'art 2024/25 collection. Fanning added a metal and strass belt with bow details and accessorized with 18k yellow gold Coco Crush earrings, gold platform heels with a black cap toe (some of the most comfortable shoes she can recall wearing, despite the height of the heel), and a Chanel bag. 'The suit was a little bit of a moment and on the louder side, so I just kept my hair and makeup very clean and simple and easy,' she adds. Fanning was joined in Paris by her best friend, and the show was the high point of their trip. 'I can't stop talking about the bags that are shaped like the bows and different fabrics and materials and sizes. I'm obsessed with that,' she says. 'It was very classic Chanel, but very playful. I'm such a girly girl at heart. My soul is very feminine.'
