BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — On Thursday in Bakersfield, we saw a high of 93°, which is 2° above the usual 91°. The record for this day was set back in 1979 at a scorching 110°. It seems Kern County is in for a warm weekend ahead, with temperatures staying in the upper 90's for Father's Day. Temperatures are expected to remain in the double digits at least until next Wednesday, before a brief warm-up and the introduction of triple digits sets in. Expect another cool down, with low 90's on top for next weekend. Pretty sick conditions will persist across our mountains and deer slopes due to a zonal flow pattern, with winds coming in from west to east. Air quality will be moderate tomorrow for the region.
