Linkin Park's Debut Album Soars As Its Comeback Set Falls
Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory climbs on three U.K. charts this week, while From Zero falls following ... More its deluxe edition debut. Last week, From Zero soared on charts around the world. The album, which marked a comeback for the hard rock outfit Linkin Park, surged thanks to the release of a deluxe edition that included several new tunes. Fans rushed to buy and stream the set, and that collective enthusiasm helped push the collection upward. But the honeymoon didn't last long, and From Zero begins to fall.
In stark contrast, Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's first full-length, proves its undying popularity once again. The title appears on three charts in the United Kingdom this week, climbing on all of them as sales seem to be increasing meaningfully.
This week, Hybrid Theory returns to the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, pushing from No. 13 to No. 8. At the same time, it jumps from No. 66 on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales tallies to Nos. 59 and 61, respectively.
Hybrid Theory is one of four albums by Linkin Park to find space on the U.K. charts this frame, but it's the only title that appears on more than one ranking and also manages to rise.
Meteora, its follow-up, is also growing in stature. At the moment, Meteora pushes more than 10 spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, landing at No. 27. However, unlike Hybrid Theory, that's the only list where the two-decade-old effort can currently be found.
From Zero occupies the most lists across the Atlantic among all of Linkin Park's current wins, but it's falling on all of them. The 2024 release, powered by its 2025 expansion, dips most dramatically on the Official Albums chart, declining from No. 23 to No. 89.
It also slips outside the top 40 on the Official Album Downloads chart, but it manages to remain within that competitive region on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Rock & Metal Albums tallies, despite tumbling.
Papercuts – Singles Collection 2000 – 2023 can also be found on a pair of rosters – two of the same ones as From Zero, which it followed by only about a year. That compilation of Linkin Park's most famous smashes steps backward on both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking.

Rod Stewart Reveals The 1 Reason His Trump Friendship Is Done: 'I Can't Anymore'
Grammy-winning singer Rod Stewart says he can't be friends with President Donald Trump anymore, citing his administration's ongoing support for the brutal Israeli military campaign in Gaza that has killed more than 55,000 Palestinians since October 2023 according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Stewart recently sat down for an interview with Radio Times to promote his upcoming set at the Glastonbury Festival, only to tear into Trump, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu — after being asked if he still considers Trump a friend. 'No, I can't any more,' Stewart told the outlet. 'As long as he's selling arms to the Israelis — and he still is. How's that war ever gonna stop? And we should stop selling them as well. What did Starmer say yesterday? They dropped the talks on trade?' 'What fucking difference is that gonna make?' the singer continued. 'Someone's gotta do something. What Netanyahu is doing to the Palestinians is exactly what happened to the Jews. It's annihilation, and that's all he wants to do — get rid of them all.' 'I don't know how they sleep at night,' Stewart added. This isn't the first time Stewart has criticized Trump. The rock icon reportedly said ahead of the 2016 election that he didn't think Trump was 'presidential,' called him a 'prick' in 2020 for pulling out of the Paris Climate Accords and ridiculed him onstage last year. Stewart used to frequently socialize with the former real estate tycoon, however. The rock icon explained during his interview Tuesday that he lives 'literally half a mile' from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida — and once 'knew him very, very well.' 'I used to go to his Christmas parties,' Stewart told Radio Times. 'He's always been a bit of a man's man. I liked him for that. But he didn't, as far as I'm concerned, treat women very well. But since he became president, he became another guy.' 'Somebody I didn't know,' he reflected. The singer mocked Trump last year during a Las Vegas concert ahead of the 2024 election for 'turning orange,' as Trump made the racist claim that then-Democratic nominee, former Vice President Kamala Harris, 'happened to turn Black' before announcing her run. Stewart is a model railway enthusiast at home, but also politically active in his spare time. In 2017, he covered all necessary expenses for a group of children with disabilities — whose parents couldn't raise enough money to travel to Washington, D.C. — to protest a GOP health care bill that included proposed cuts to Medicaid. 'I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but I am a father,' he said at the time. Prince William welcomes latest additions to royal family in rare birthday tribute
Kate Middleton is celebrating her husband Prince William on his 43rd birthday. In a rare and sweet tribute, the Princess of Wales shared a never-before-seen photo of Prince William, as he affectionately posed with the newest additions to their royal family – four adorable puppies born to Orla, the couple's beloved black cocker spaniel. "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!", the social media caption read with a paw print emoji, as the Prince of Wales embraced the four-legged friends. The affectionate birthday post was signed by Princess Catherine of Wales, 43, and their three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. Prince William is seen lovingly looking down at one of the puppies in his lap as he is dressed in casual blue denim jeans and a dark green buttoned-up collared shirt. In April, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartwarming photo of their pet, Orla, on National Pet Day. "Celebrating the animals who bring so much joy, companionship and love to our lives," the caption read on Instagram. A dog was seen posing in the grass, looking off to the side in the sweet photo. Meanwhile, Prince William's birthday tribute is a rare public declaration of Kate's love and support for her husband. People magazine previously noted that the Prince and Princess of Wales don't typically write personal messages on their social media. Princess Kate's birthday message comes after she unexpectedly pulled out of a scheduled return to Royal Ascot, Fox News Digital confirmed earlier this week. The Princess of Wales was set to appear at the annual horse racing event with her husband on June 18. The mother of three was said to be disappointed not to be there. However, the princess is still trying to find the right balance as she returns to public engagements following her cancer treatment. Princess Kate was originally on the carriage list. However, William was seated with his father, King Charles, and stepmother, Queen Camilla. Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, was pictured arriving at the racetrack. Last year, William attended Royal Ascot solo while Kate was undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer. His in-laws, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also present. In March 2024, Kate announced in a video she had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The revelation came after weeks of speculation about her health and whereabouts. In January of that year, she was hospitalized for unspecified abdominal surgery. In September 2024, Kate announced she had finished her preventative chemotherapy, although she said her path to full recovery would be long and that she would take it day by day.

Yorkshire beach chosen for body confidence campaign
Women in North Yorkshire are backing a campaign to challenge ageism and promote "self-acceptance". On Friday, women aged 40 and over gathered at Scarborough's North Bay for a body positivity event to mark the launch of Accepting Who We Are (AWWA). AWWA is the brainchild of model and body confidence activist Rachel Peru and self-employed businesswoman Tina Boden. Ms Boden, 57, said: "I think it's important that we, as women in our midlife, accept who we are and have that confidence to do what we want to do, in the clothes we want to wear." Ms Peru, 47, added: "We're so excited. To see women coming here today, people we've never met before, joining us on the beach in their swimwear and strutting their stuff - it's a really special day." The pair decided to collaborate after Ms Peru convinced Ms Boden to walk in the My Generation Runway Show during York Fashion Week. Ms Boden was then inspired to join a later-life model agency and compete in beauty pageants, ultimately being crowned Mrs North Yorkshire Galaxy 24/25. As part of the competition she had to model swimwear, which she said would have been out of her comfort zone before. This helped to partially inspired the AWWA campaign, as well as addressing a lack of representation for older women in swimwear campaigns, according to Ms Peru. Whitby-based photographer Mary Davies staged a photoshoot for the women, encouraging them to pose for individual and group shots. Getting the perfect angle is just one part of the wider campaign, said Ms Peru. She explained: "It's not just about taking some amazing photographs, it's about creating a safe space where people can come and enjoy the beach, whatever shape or size they are, really come together and just have fun, and forget about those body insecurities we all struggle with." The group consisted of a mix of body confidence activists, retirees and others who had seen the event being promoted on social media. Debs Daitani, 51, travelled all the way from Shropshire to attend the event, calling it a "no-brainer". "To me, it's massively important because when you go through this midlife transition, in particular to menopause, so many things can fall by the wayside," she said. "Women need to know they still have a lot of life left to live – I feel like I'm living proof of that. "This is the biggest size I've ever been, this is also the oldest I've ever been but I'm also the most confident I've ever been and I want other women to feel the same." Annie Stoke, 75, said she had borrowed her designer sunglasses from her granddaughter, who had apparently conceded that she wore them better. She said while she "hadn't quite dared" to put on a bikini, age certainly was not a factor in what she chose to wear. "We're all different shapes and sizes, we've all got tummies and wobbly bits – it does not matter one single bit. If you want to do something, just go right ahead and do it," she said. "There's nothing stopping you. You don't have to be beach ready, you are beach ready. "Just put your cozzie on and just be confident about getting out there because the sisterhood are all supporting each other." Ms Peru and Ms Boden said they hope to host more events for midlife women in the future. "It's all not making ourselves invisible. This is about creating a community of women who all support each other," Ms Boden added. Listen to highlights from North Yorkshire on BBC Sounds, catch up with the latest episode of Look North.
