Linkin Park's Debut Smash Becomes A Landmark Hit For The Band
Linkin Park's 'In the End' spends a tenth week at No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Streaming Songs ... More chart, a first for the band. AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - SEPTEMBER 24: Chester Bennington of Linkin Park performs live on stage at Heineken Music Hall on September 24, 2001 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. (Photo by Paul Bergen/Redferns) Linkin Park has spent the past half-year promoting its latest album, From Zero. The full-length saw the group reform with new members and produce highly-desired new music for the first time in years, following a hiatus taken after the death of frontman Chester Bennington. Just weeks after releasing a deluxe edition of From Zero, which included several new cuts, the project has completely disappeared from the Billboard charts. Only a handful of tunes from the effort are still present. That doesn't mean Linkin Park is fading, though, as the group's back catalog remains incredibly popular. In fact, the band continues to dominate one tally in the United States, and the rock outfit's leader has nothing to do with its latest drop. Linkin Park is once again in charge of the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. 'In the End' stands out as the most successful hard rock cut in the U.S. on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Decades after its release, it still manages to outpace every other tune by the band — even those released more recently. As 'In the End' holds at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, the track earns its milestone tenth week ruling that list. That's a first for the group, which has long reigned as one of the most commercially successful in the genre. Linkin Park has only collected three leaders on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart. 'In the End' is actually the most recent of the trio, following both 'Lost' and 'The Emptiness Machine.' The track only hit the top spot in October 2024 — a month after 'The Emptiness Machine' introduced the band's upcoming album From Zero and debuted in first place. 'In the End' has now spent more time at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally than both 'The Emptiness Machine' and 'Lost' combined. 'Lost' managed just one frame atop the ranking in February 2023, while 'The Emptiness Machine' collected five. Both 'In the End' and 'Numb' are still tied as Linkin Park's longest-running tracks on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, as each has accrued 263 appearances on the list, holding on for just over five years. 'Numb' has never managed to rule, unlike 'In the End.' It has come close, as it's stalled in the runner-up space. It's one of several tracks by the band that has come close, but never reached the summit.

Linkin Park's Debut Album Remains A Force To Be Reckoned With
Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory climbs on five Billboard charts this week, outperforming every other ... More album from the band's catalog, even the newly-re-released From Zero. (Photo by KMazur/WireImage) It was only a few weeks ago that Linkin Park re-released its most recent album, From Zero, adding several tunes to its tracklist and turning it into a highly-anticipated deluxe edition. Just a short time after that title surged on the Billboard charts, it has all but disappeared, but Linkin Park's name has not gone with it. Instead, fans of the hard rock outfit have refocused their listening on Hybrid Theory, the project that turned the group into superstars decades ago and which remains one of the most successful efforts in hard rock history. Linkin Park sees four albums appear on Billboard's rankings this frame, and Hybrid Theory is the top performer among them all. At the moment, it lives on five rosters, and it's climbing on each and every one of them. It's the only one of the group's efforts to find space on that many tallies and to uniformly step up. Hybrid Theory lives inside the top 10 only on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, where it settles at No. 6. It can also be found inside the top 20 once more on both the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums lists, ascending to Nos. 13 and 19, respectively. The project also pushes half a dozen spots north on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking, where it currently appears at No. 24. Consumption of Hybrid Theory grew by a little more than 5% in the past tracking period, as Luminate reports that it shifted a total of 11,300 equivalent units between sales and streaming activity. The figure is enough for the full-length to jump 10 spaces on the Billboard 200, launching from No. 130 to No. 120. This week, Hybrid Theory outperforms its successor Meteora, but not by much. That sophomore release from Linkin Park lives on four rosters, including all the ones where Hybrid Theory can be found — except for the Top Rock Albums chart. That project rises by a few spots on three tallies, but holds steady on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, both Papercuts and From Zero can only be located at the moment on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The former, a compilation of many of Linkin Park's most popular tunes, lifts several spots, while the group's comeback effort declines to last place.

Linkin Park's Debut Album Soars As Its Comeback Set Falls
Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory climbs on three U.K. charts this week, while From Zero falls following ... More its deluxe edition debut. MUNICH, GERMANY - MAY 31: Emily Armstrong, Lead Singer of Linkin Park, preforms, as a pyrotechnical display takes place prior to the UEFA Champions League Final 2025 between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Internazionale Milano at Munich Football Arena on May 31, 2025 in Munich, Germany. (Photo by) Last week, From Zero soared on charts around the world. The album, which marked a comeback for the hard rock outfit Linkin Park, surged thanks to the release of a deluxe edition that included several new tunes. Fans rushed to buy and stream the set, and that collective enthusiasm helped push the collection upward. But the honeymoon didn't last long, and From Zero begins to fall. In stark contrast, Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park's first full-length, proves its undying popularity once again. The title appears on three charts in the United Kingdom this week, climbing on all of them as sales seem to be increasing meaningfully. This week, Hybrid Theory returns to the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, pushing from No. 13 to No. 8. At the same time, it jumps from No. 66 on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales tallies to Nos. 59 and 61, respectively. Hybrid Theory is one of four albums by Linkin Park to find space on the U.K. charts this frame, but it's the only title that appears on more than one ranking and also manages to rise. Meteora, its follow-up, is also growing in stature. At the moment, Meteora pushes more than 10 spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, landing at No. 27. However, unlike Hybrid Theory, that's the only list where the two-decade-old effort can currently be found. From Zero occupies the most lists across the Atlantic among all of Linkin Park's current wins, but it's falling on all of them. The 2024 release, powered by its 2025 expansion, dips most dramatically on the Official Albums chart, declining from No. 23 to No. 89. It also slips outside the top 40 on the Official Album Downloads chart, but it manages to remain within that competitive region on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Rock & Metal Albums tallies, despite tumbling. Papercuts – Singles Collection 2000 – 2023 can also be found on a pair of rosters – two of the same ones as From Zero, which it followed by only about a year. That compilation of Linkin Park's most famous smashes steps backward on both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking.

Linkin Park Returns To No. 1 In America With Its First Smash
Linkin Park's 'In the End' returns to No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, marking ... More its eighth nonconsecutive week at the top. TOKYO - JULY 07: Chester Bennington of Linkin Park performs on stage at the Tokyo leg of the Live Earth series of concerts, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on July 7, 2007 in Tokyo, Japan. Launched by former US Vice President Al Gore to combat Global Warming, the concert is one of a series taking place over a 24-hour period on July 7 across seven continents. (Photo by) Just a few weeks ago, Linkin Park re-released its album From Zero, turning it into a deluxe edition with several new tunes. The following week, that set bolted up a number of Billboard charts, but it didn't take long for its popularity to dwindle once more. A handful of tracks taken from the expanded set are still present on tallies in the United States, even as the full-length all but disappears. Even with new music now available, some of the hard rock group's earliest smashes are proving to be unbeatable — and the one that started it all for the outfit reigns supreme once more. "In the End" bolts from No. 5 to No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart in America this week, officially becoming the most-streamed hard rock track in the nation once again. With another stint at No. 1 to its credit, "In the End" has now led the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart for eight nonconsecutive weeks. It first reached the peak position in October of last year, having originally arrived in June 2020. Both "In the End" and "Numb" landed on the ranking at the same time, and the two have now spent just over five years on this chart. "In the End" has spent more time at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally than the group's other two champions combined. "The Emptiness Machine" – the lead single taken from 2024's From Zero – managed five frames leading the charge, while "Lost" earned the band its first leader in February 2023, holding for just one frame. "In the End" is becoming hugely successful again across several of Billboard's genre-specific rosters. In addition to jumping to No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart, the track also reenters the Alternative Streaming Songs list at No. 24, after what must be a noticeable uptick in plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, iHeartRadio, and many others. The track also manages to climb on both of Billboard's worldwide lists, lifting just a few spots on the two rosters. Five tunes by Linkin Park appear on at least one Billboard chart apiece this week. "Up From the Bottom," one of the major focuses from the From Zero deluxe edition, finds a home on half a dozen tallies. While it continues to rule a trio of airplay lists, it is largely falling when it comes to other forms of consumption.

Linkin Park's ‘From Zero' Rocks Album Charts After Deluxe Reissue
Linkin Park's 2024 album From Zero returns to a bevy of Billboard's album charts (dated May 31) following its deluxe reissue with additional tracks on May 16. The set reenters Top Album Sales (at No. 5), Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 4), Vinyl Albums (No. 8), Top Alternative Albums (No. 9), Top Rock Albums (No. 15), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 17), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 17) and the Billboard 200 (No. 71). From Zero debuted at No. 1 on all of the above charts last November, save for the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales, where it arrived at No. 2. The same week From Zero's deluxe impacted the album charts, one of the new songs added to the project, 'Up From the Bottom,' hit No. 1 on both the Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts. In the tracking week ending May 22, From Zero earned 14,000 equivalent album units (up 173%), with traditional album sales comprising 7,500 of that sum (up 531%). The latter figure pushes the album's reentry on Top Album Sales at No. 5. Elsewhere in the top 10 of the all-genre Top Album Sales chart, five albums debut in the region from Morgan Wallen, Jin, BOYNEXTDOOR, Sleep Theory and MEOVV. Billboard's Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart's history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units. Wallen's I'm the Problem launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales with a career-best 133,000 sold, marking his fourth top 10-charting effort (all have reached the top three). Jin's Echo enters at No. 2 with 35,000 sold, garnering the singer his second effort to reach the top three. BOYNEXTDOOR's 4th EP: No Genre starts at a career-high No. 3 with nearly 14,000 sold; it's the fourth top 10 for the act. Sleep Token's Even in Arcadia falls 1-4 in its second week on the chart (nearly 8,000; down 90%), while the aforementioned From Zero reenters the list at No. 5. Kali Uchis' Sincerely. retreats 2-6 in its second week (just over 7,000; down 81%), Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping GNX climbs 8-7 (7,000; up 6%) and P1Harmony's DUH! dips 3-6 in its second week (nearly 7,000; down 69%). Rounding out the latest top 10 is Sleep Theory's first full-length set Afterglow, which scores the band its first top 10 (and chart entry) with its No. 9 debut (6,500) and MEOVV, who sees their debut EP My Eyes Open VVIDE start at No. 10 (6,000).
