But they will be eager to hit the ground running in August after missing out on Champions League qualification.

They then take on Hansa Rostock in Germany before travelling to America for games with Eintracht Frankfurt, St Louis City and Nashville.

But the match will not be taking place at their home stadium of Villa Park.
Instead, Emery's team will face Roma at the home of rivals Walsall.
The Bescot Stadium, where Villa are starting their pre-season, holds just 11,300 fans.
There has been no explanation as to why the match will take place there.

But it is likely that Villa will be making final preparations to their pitch and arena before the start of the new Premier League season on Friday August 16.
Villa Park will host four concerts throughout the summer, which will require plenty of maintenance to set up and then dismantle.

Salah leads shortlist for PFA Men's Player of the Year award
LIVERPOOL FORWARD MOHAMED Salah leads a six-player shortlist for the Professional Footballers' Association Men's Player of the Year award. The Egyptian was instrumental in the Reds' Premier League title success last season, scoring 29 goals and adding 18 assists. Earlier this year he was voted footballer of the year by the Football Writers' Association, and will now be favourite to win the vote of his peers. The single worst thing Shelbourne can do is mention the word Qarabag. Not with a difficult Champions League tie against Linfield to overcome Duff was speaking yesterday about how all talk of Linfield is banned for now, what with Derry up tonight and a trip to Waterford on Monday. Don't be thinking or talking about Qarabag in the second round because football will bite you in the arse. And I know this from two lowest moments in football were Shelbourne's 2005 Setanta Cup final defeat to Linfield, closely followed by our Champions League loss to Hibs of Malta in 2002. We took our eye off the ball in between the two legs, and that should be a lesson to the current team.
