Soccer-In-form Kolo Muani wants to stay at Juventus after Club World Cup
On-loan France striker Randal Kolo Muani said he would like to stay at Juventus next season after a Man of the Match performance for the Italian team in their impressive Club World Cup opener. Kolo Muani, who arrived at the club from Paris Saint Germain on a short-term deal in January, scored two goals as Juventus hammered Al-Ain 5-0 on Wednesday, taking his tally to five goals in his last six matches for the Italian club. "Honestly, I feel very good here," the 26-year-old told Mediaset after the Group G match in Washington D.C. "I can play well and score goals. I am happy, I hope to stay." General manager Damien Comolli told reporters last week that Juventus had discussed another loan with PSG when negotiating an extension to Kolo Muani's existing deal for the Club World Cup. "I'm optimistic that we can come to an agreement with PSG regarding a loan for the entire 25-26 season," he said. "Paris Saint Germain have certainly not closed the door to a loan, and they know the player wants to stay with us." Juventus coach Igor Tudor's optimistic response to Wednesday's victory might have been tempered by the knowledge that the two best performers in the game are only at the club on deals which expire after the tournament. Portuguese winger Francisco Conceicao, who is on loan from Porto, also grabbed a brace of goals after terrorising the Al-Ain defence from both flanks at Audi Field. Tudor has used the 22-year-old sparingly since taking over from Thiago Motta in March, suggesting Juventus might not be ready to trigger the 30 million euros ($34.57 million) buyout clause in his contract and keep him in Turin. In the short term, however, Tudor has both players at his disposal for the Club World Cup, which continues for Juventus with games against Wydad Casablanca on Sunday and Manchester City next Thursday. Kolo Muani for one is certainly buying into the Croatian's programme. "He trusts me, he wants to attack and he wants to keep the defence strong," he told the post-match press conference.

Game, duet and match – Andrea Bocelli records song with tennis ace Jannik Sinner
The song, Polvere e Gloria (meaning Dust And Glory), features world number one Sinner repeating parts of his winning and losing speeches, which he recorded at Bocelli's studio in Tuscany. The track, which features both Italian and English lyrics, is described as a 'musical dialogue between two Italian icons', blending opera and storytelling. Sinner said: 'I am very happy and honoured to be part of this project with Andrea, who for 30 years has been a unique and extraordinary voice, a flag for our country in the rest of the world. 'I could never have imagined hearing my voice in one of his songs. It's extremely moving.' The accompanying music video features personal and archive images from the duo's childhoods, along with scenes filmed as they collaborated at Bocelli's estate. It will be released on June 20 on Decca Records/Universal Music. Sinner is the first Italian to reach the top ranking. Bocelli began his career in 1994 with the album Il Mare Calmo Della Sera, having previously worked as a singer in piano bars. He has gone on to sell almost 90 million records worldwide and has performed at major events across the world including the Olympic Games and the World Cup.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca yet to speak to Mykhailo Mudryk after doping charges
The 24-year-old is facing a lengthy ban after the Football Association announced on Friday it had charged the player. Mudryk has not played since being suspended last December after testing positive for a prohibited substance. He was last seen in public at the Europa Conference League final in Wroclaw last month having attended in a private capacity. Mudryk is not allowed to train with the squad, who are currently at the Club World Cup in the United States. Speaking ahead of the Blues' second match of the tournament against Flamengo in Philadelphia on Friday, Maresca said: 'I spoke with 'Misha' in Poland when we played the Conference League final but I didn't speak with him since that time. 'To be honest, I didn't see the news. They communicated (it to) me last night. There is nothing more that I can add at the moment because I don't have more information.' Chelsea did not officially comment after the charges were announced but have previously said they are supporting the player. Maresca said: 'The last time I spoke with Misha he was quite good. I didn't see him worried, or at least I didn't see him not good. It was OK. 'I don't know how he is now but for sure in the next days, weeks, we're going to have a talk.' Chelsea are in the market for a new winger this summer, and have been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens, but Maresca says that is not because of the Mudryk situation. The Italian said: 'We had already one entire season, almost, without Misha. 'We've decided to go for a winger not because of Misha. It's something quite clear, it's a position that we need to improve.' Maresca dismissed speculation over the future of another winger in England international Noni Madueke, with reports Arsenal are monitoring his situation. Maresca said: 'Noni is our player. In this moment, you can read much speculation about many players, but Noni is our player. We consider Noni our player for next season.' Maresca is set to make changes to his side for the Flamengo clash at Lincoln Financial Field due to the anticipated heat. The Blues, who opened their campaign in Group D with a 2-0 win over LAFC, are set to face the Brazilians at 2pm local time, with the temperature forecast to reach 28C. Maresca said: 'It's not easy because of the temperature. This is the reason why we're going to try to rotate players. 'Unfortunately for us, as a Brazilian team, they are more used to playing in this temperature – but it doesn't matter. We're going to try to do our best to win the game.'

Intrepid Airdrie friends enjoyed a true Italian Job as they spread their love of football and God all the way to Rome. The Caritas Cup was founded five years ago by school pals Adam Costello, 21, Aiden Paterson, 20, Bailey Gallagher, 20, and Daniel Timoney, 20, who all attended St Margaret's High. The aim was to unite pupils from local Catholic schools through football and netball tournaments, while supporting the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) and other great causes. The Vatican was celebrating a Jubilee of Sports and the Caritas Cup was at the centre of the celebrations - and saw the friends playing football in 38-degree heat. Adam said: "It was hard going - walking around in summer in Rome is hard enough but playing a game of football is a whole new level. "We had a great time though and we were playing with Seminarians from the Scot's College in Rome as well as guys from France, Sweden and Italy." Adam added: "The Caritas Cup started as a game of football between two schools in Airdrie and Coatbridge four years ago now. "It then spread to multiple sports across many parts of Scotland and now it's reached Rome. "Pope Leo said that sport has a unique way of bringing people together and that exactly what the Caritas Cup is all about. "We support SCIAF due to the values instilled in us from a very young age. "The values that resonate with people across our Diocese and Motherwell - to help our neighbours and all in need. "This is just a very small part of what SCIAF does. We want to highlight the valuable and crucial work that SCIAF do in every corner of the world and we hope that, through this project, we can highlight that a better world is possible." Bailey said: "The links between sport and faith have never been clearer for us and seeing over 800,000 young people participating in the Jubilee events, solidified that. "Starting as a game of football between two schools, it is now with great joy that we can see this project reach all over the world. "Through the Caritas Cup, schools and communities have been United in Faith and through God's blessings, we hope that continues." Michael Hamilton, SCIAF's community engagement officer, added: "Working with the Caritas Cup team over the past couple of years has been amazing. "It has been so inspiring to us at SCIAF to see their passion for their faith, sport, charity and community.
