That's according to the ever reliable French publication L'Equipe who claim that Liverpool are among the clubs who have made contact to sign AS Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche.
The report claims Liverpool have made contact with Monaco but have asked for patience (we wonder why? Perhaps because of Wirtz?).

It also adds that Paris Saint Germain are interested however they are only able to offer €50m for the 23-year-old, whereas Monaco are holding out for €60m.
The French youth international would be an exciting player for Liverpool. Akliouche had made 19 goal contributions this season, often playing as an attacking midfielder on the right.
One of Akliouche's best assets is his creativity. He's averaged the most key passes (1.04 per 90) in Ligue 1. Meanwhile, he ranks third for expected assists (0.23 xA per 90).

Chelsea not planning to revisit goalkeeper transfer

Chelsea are not planning to revisit a deal to sign Mike Maignan from AC Milan later in the transfer window. The West Londoners held talks with AC Milan over the transfer of the France goalkeeper earlier this month, but failed to find an agreement on a fee. Chelsea had hoped to sign Maignan in time for the FIFA Club World Cup but were expected to resume negotiations again after the tournament. Advertisement However, Enzo Maresca looks likely to continue with his current options. Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea 'maintain their confidence' in Robert Sanchez, Filip Jorgensen and Mike Penders as their options for the season and currently have no plans to resume talks for Maignan. Maignan's contract at AC Milan expires next summer and the Italian side run the risk of losing the goalkeeper on a free transfer in 2026. The Rossoneri had demanded a fee of around £21m for the 29-year-old, with Chelsea's offer in the region of £12.9m falling significantly short of their price tag. Rashford hints at interest in Barcelona move

Marcus Rashford has hinted that he would be open to a move to Barcelona this summer and has said he would 'love to play with Lamine Yamal'. Rashford is weighing up his options after returning to Manchester United from a loan spell at Aston Villa last season. Advertisement The 27-year-old scored four times and added six assists during an encouraging spell at Villa, who have the option to sign Rashford for £40m this summer. However, neither Villa or Rashford have committed to a permanent move. Manchester United have also set that asking price for other clubs with Barcelona among those linked with the England international. The Spanish side's move for Nico Williams could complicate an additional pursuit of Rashford, but the player has suggested he would be keen on the move to La Liga. Speaking to the Spanish YouTube channel xBuyer, Rashford was full of praise for Barcelona teenager Yamal and spoke of his interest in playing alongside the Spaniard. 'It's difficult to put into words what he's doing, because he's not supposed to be doing that at 16, 17. I don't think we've seen it before. For sure (I'd love to play with Lamine Yamal). Everyone in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully, we'll see.'
