Inter Milan star tells PSG fan 'I'll beat the s*** out of you' after UCL jibe

Inter Milan were crushed 5-0 in the Champions League final by Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, as Francesco Acerbi suffered one particularly embarrassing moment Francesco Acerbi threatened to 'beat the s***' out of a Paris Saint-Germain fan who goaded the Inter Milan star about the teams' Champions League final clash. Acerbi's Inter were hammered 5-0 by PSG in Munich on June 1 and now both teams are competing at the Club World Cup in the United States. During the closing stages of the one-sided final, 37-year-old Acerbi was embarrassed by PSG forward Bradley Barcola, whose fancy footwork left the Italian defender dazzled. The moment was widely shared on social media and one fan in Seattle took his torment a step further. ‌ During a meet-and-greet event, the fan - who was wearing a PSG shirt - reminded Acerbi of the humiliating moment. The ex-Lazio defender sought the help of a translator, who sternly told the fan in English: "You must be serious with him." ‌ Just a few seconds later, Acerbi made his feelings clear. Fuming in Italian, he said: "I'm serious. Don't make fun of me - I don't like it. I'm crazy, I'll beat the s*** out of you." Acerbi quickly moved on, posing for photos with more respecting fans. It's not the first time the veteran centre-back has been embroiled in controversy this month. Despite Italy playing two crucial World Cup qualifiers earlier this month, Acerbi turned down a call-up for his national team. He accused manager Luciano Spalletti, who's since been sacked, of disrespecting him. Acerbi posted on social media: "It's not a decision I have taken lightly. However, I believe that in light of recent events the conditions aren't there today for me to go forward with serenity. "I demand respect. If that respect is lacking from those who should lead the group, I prefer to step aside. I won't stay where I'm no longer truly wanted and it's clear I'm not part of the coach's project." ‌ Acerbi's focus shifted to helping Inter against Japanese side Urawa Reds in their second match of the Club World Cup on Saturday. He'll also be looking to impress new manager Cristian Chivu. Ex-Inter defender Chivu has taken over from Simone Inzaghi, who left San Siro for the riches of Saudi Arabian heavyweights Al-Hilal shortly after the Champions League final. Former team-mate Javier Zanetti, who's now the vice-president of Inter, commented: "The Champions League final marked the end of a chapter, and now a new one begins. "That's football - constant perseverance, belief in hard work and a project. And we're on that path now. We have great confidence in what Cristian Chivu can bring. I know him personally - we were team-mates - and I can say he's a wonderful person. We know he'll do a great job here. This Club World Cup is a great test for all of us." Benjamin Nygren signs for Celtic as bargain transfer fee, contract details and stunning scouting report emerge

Celtic are set to snap up the Sweden international in a cut-price deal but could be quids in further down the line according to Marc Rieper. Benjamin Nygren has been hailed as the 'full package' after sealing an initial £1.3m move to Celtic on a four-year deal with an option until 2030. The winger has agreed a cut-price movefrom Danish side Nordsjaelland, with official confirmation expected in the coming days, as Brendan Rodgers beefs up his attacking options. ‌ And according to former Hoops hero Marc Rieper the Parkhead club are getting top class talent who will coin in a massive profit further down the line. ‌ Nygren netted 16 goals across all competitions last season and his form didn't go unnoticed back home, earning him a first senior call-up under Sweden boss Jon Dahl Tomasson in March. He has since won four caps and scored twice for his country. Now the 23-year-old, currently on holiday, looks set to complete his move to Parkhead and have a first crack at the Champions League after snubbing interest from Anderlecht, Copenhagen and the MLS. And Denmark legend Rieper told Mail Sport: 'I've seen Nygren a number of times. He is the full package. A really good player. 'He has tremendous speed, good passing ability and is a really, really good finisher - and from long range. 'When you play for Nordsjaelland you need to be able to keep the ball and he is really good in that sense. ‌ 'Celtic have got a really good player in Nygren. He is top class.' Nygren was one of the Danish Sperliga's most effective attacking threats over the last two seasons and had interest from across Europe a year ago. With just six months left on his contract at Nordsjaelland the Danes have accepted the knockdown fee rather than lose the player for nothing in December. ‌ But Rieper expects Celtic will make a huge profit on Nygren further down the line - with the former defender tipping him to be the latest star to become a £10m-plus player at Parkhead. He said: 'If you do well at Celtic and in Europe then you are very easily a £10million-plus player. 'The way prices are going in Italy, Germany and the Premier League then £10million - as ridiculous as it is to say - is not even a big number any more. 'Look at Matt O'Riley, he's on the verge of leaving Brighton for crazy money as well. I think they will make a good profit on Nygren one day. 'He is a young player and he has got really good ability. But they can look forward to enjoying him in a Celtic shirt for the next few years first.' Lennon Miller transfer truth outs as Celtic and dizzying list of signing suitors hear it straight

Interest in the Fir Park star is growing at home and abroad with a big money exit expected this summer. Lennon Miller has his heart set on moving abroad and joining the increasing band of Scots tearing up the continent. Celtic and Rangers remain linked with the Motherwell star who is expected to make a big money move from Fir Park this summer. ‌ But the 18-year-old - who made his Scotland debut this month - wants to learn a new footballing style and culture. ‌ As well as the Old Firm, Miller has interest from England, Italy, Germany, Belgium and France. There's been no official offers tabled for the playmaker yet this summer. But new Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou admitted on Thursday he was planning for life without his star man. And Miller's dad Lee, the former Scotland striker, says he also expects the Well wonderkid to leave Fir Park in the next two months. Italians Udinese had two offers knocked back in January and could return to the table while Eintracht Frankfurt, Lazio, Strasbourg, Union Saint Gilloise and a host of English clubs have been linked. Motherwell will demand a club record fee of over £5m for their prize asset. ‌ And asked if this was the time for the teenager, who is in the last year of his Well contract, to move on, Miller senior said: 'I think so, yeah. 'There's a lot of interest in Lennon. 'In terms of bids going in for him, there's nothing went in this summer. ‌ 'There were a few bids in January and the valuation of Lennon wasn't met, so it's one of those ones we'll just wait. 'Lennon's on holiday now, he's chilling out, just relaxing. He's ready for the season coming ahead but who knows where that'll be. 'His preferable choice would be abroad. ‌ 'He's not just going to go to a club for the sake of it. It needs to have the right environment, it needs to have the right manager, the right club. 'Lennon's not bothered with the money side of things, that'll come. Obviously it's a short career and you need to earn money. 'But he wants to go and progress his career and then kick on again. ‌ 'So we'll see. I don't know what that'll be. But it needs to be a place where he can then grow again.' Miller came through the Well academy from the age of eight and made his debut six days after his 16th birthday in August 2022. The midfielder has gone on to make 76 top tam appearances, captaining the side in last year's League Cup semi final against Rangers, and winning his first Scotland caps against Greece and Liechtenstein earlier this month. ‌ Rubbing shoulders with Serie A Scots Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Lewis Ferguson, Che Adams and Josh Doig whetted his appetite for a move abroad. Now his dad hopes his future can be sorted soon. ‌ He said: 'Yeah. A bit of uncertainty isn't great. Although, he just gets on with it, he just plays football, that's what he's there to do. . 'But the next move for Lennon is so important in terms of his development. 'His development is key in this. ‌ 'It needs to be the right move whether it's abroad, whether it's here. 'He needs to play football, he needs to develop because everything so far has went to plan. 'He's played a number of first team games, he's a recognised first team player now although he's only 18. ‌ 'The next step has to be playing games again in a different environment, in a different culture. 'Learning a different way of playing, a different style of playing and learning different processes within the game because Lennon over the years having followed me, has studied the game. 'He studied the game really, really intensely so that's why he is ahead of the game because he's been to games with me and he wasn't a kid that just had his iPad out with his phone. 'He watched every bit of every game. That's why he looks so mature and he is so mature for his age. 'He plays the game like a 35-year-old who's played 500 games first team so that's a credit to him.'
