‘Finding The Right Balance': Kate Middleton Pulls Out Of Key Royal Event Amid Cancer Recovery
Last Updated: According to Britain's Press Association, the Princess of Wales is working to 'find the right balance' as she resumes public life following her treatment. Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, pulled out of attending Royal Ascot, a major fixture in the British royal calendar, as she continues her recovery from cancer, Kensington Palace said. The high-profile racing event, held in Berkshire, is known for its deep royal ties and social significance. While Prince William, King Charles III and Queen Camilla are expected to attend, Kate Middleton will skip the outing to focus on her health. According to Britain's Press Association, the Princess of Wales is working to 'find the right balance" as she resumes public life following her treatment. The five-day gathering features the Royal Procession, where members of the royal family arrive in horse-drawn carriages, followed by races viewed from the exclusive Royal Enclosure, known for its strict formal dress code. In March 2024, Kate Middleton revealed she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for an undisclosed cancer. She announced in January 2025 that she was in remission but continues to take a cautious approach to public engagements. Kate Middleton has made a handful of public appearances in recent days, including King Charles III's birthday parade and a royal event at St George's Chapel. Her gradual return mirrors that of King Charles, who is also undergoing cancer treatment and recently resumed public duties. First Published: June 18, 2025, 22:51 IST

Two UK pennies worth more than £2,600 if they have this tiny mark
These coins are highly sought-after by collectors due to an initial found on one side An expert has urged Brits to look out for two old pennies that could be worth over £2,600 combined. These pre-decimal coins are no longer in circulation but could be hiding away in an attic or coin jar. However, these pieces are only especially valuable if they feature two tiny letters. This mark will make them highly sought-after by collectors. In a video uploaded to social media platform TikTok, an expert known as the Coin Collecting Wizard, said: 'Thousands of pounds if you have either a 1918 or 1919 old UK penny with this mint mark. 'As you will be aware if you follow me, there are many pre-decimal pennies from the UK that have some crazy values, but it all depends on the date.' But you need to check for the initials 'KN' on both coins to be sure they are collectable. 'Today we discuss the 1919 KN penny, KN meaning King's Norton Mint,' he continued. 'Of the two mints, the King's Norton is by far the most difficult to get.' Rather than being produced at the Royal Mint like most coins in the UK, these were created at the King's Norton Mint in Birmingham. At the time this company was contracted to help keep up with demand for coins. The expert gave more details: 'The obverse [head side] shows a portrait of King George the Fifth by Australian sculptor Bertram MacKennal. George the Fifth was king of the United Kingdom and the British dominions and Emperor of India from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936. 'The reverse [tail side} shows Britannia seated with trident and shield. It is the same as other pennies of that era with the exception of the KN mint mark.' It is the 'KN' mark that sets it apart. This can be spotted just under the shield held by Britannia on the tail side of the coin. However, you will need to look closely as it is very hard to see. If your coin has these letters it could be worth an incredible £2,000 or more. 'If you are lucky enough to find the 1919 KN penny then it may surprise you that this coin can sell for over £2,000 depending on condition,' he said. The expert then showed an image of the 1918 KN penny. He added: 'Now as with a lot of these coins, the value very much depends on the condition of the coin. A good grade 1918 KN penny can be over £30, but as the condition increases, such as an extra fine version, you would be looking at over £600.'

AEW star Brody King wears ‘Abolish ICE' shirt at show in Mexico
All Elite Wrestling star Brody King wore an 'Abolish ICE' T-shirt as the company held 'Grand Slam Mexico' in Mexico City on Wednesday night. King was a part of a 14-person tag-team match with Adam Cole, Atlantis, Atlantis Jr., Bandido Daniel Garcia and Templario. The pro wrestling stars defeated the team of Dax Harwood, Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer and Volador Jr. Advertisement The event took place in Arena México and featured wrestlers from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) — one of the top promotions in Mexico. King's apparent call to abolish U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) came as he showed support for protestors in Los Angeles who were against the raids that took place in the city. The protesters took a violent turn at several points during the week, with law enforcement officers being injured, autonomous vehicles being set on fire and stores being looted. He shared a post from Mexican makeup artist Jose Corella, which started 'Let me be clear.' Advertisement 'What's happening in Los Angeles right now is not only morally reprehensible — it's legally indefensible. This is a sanctuary city, a designation that was democratically voted on and enacted into law by the residents of this city — not by political opportunists grandstanding from a golf course in Florida,' the message read. 'Let me be clear: being undocumented in the United States is not a criminal offense. It is a civil violation. That means it holds the same legal weight as running a stop sign on a bicycle, setting off a firework after a drink, or selling unlicensed fan merch on Etsy. It is subject to civil penalties — typically a fine — not imprisonment, not detention, and certainly not extrajudicial abduction. Brody King wears an 'Abolish ICE' shirt during his entrance at AEW's 'Grand Slam: Mexico' event on June 18, 2025. AEW Advertisement Brody King Icon Sportswire via Getty Images 'Dragging someone off the street at gunpoint, without a warrant or due process, and forcing them into an unmarked vehicle operated by armed, plainclothed agents is not law enforcement — it is armed kidnapping. And armed kidnapping is a felony — a real one. 'So, if you're going to obsess over who is illegal, start by looking at the heavily armed individuals violating constitutional protections under the guise of enforcing the law. Because what they're doing is criminal, not the people they're targeting.' Advertisement Since then, similar messages have been shared by Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Enrique Hernandez and the National Women's Soccer League's Angel City FC. President Donald Trump has since doubled down on his support of ICE in Los Angeles and called on ICE officers to expand their efforts to other cities.

Government Council Approves Creation of National Child Protection Agency
Rabat – The Government Council approved on Thursday Draft Law No. 29.24 establishing the National Agency for Child Protection, along with child protection centers and social care institutions dedicated to children. The draft was presented by Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi. According to a statement from the Ministry in charge of Relations with Parliament, the new agency reflects the importance Morocco places on child protection in both its legislative framework and national institutions. The initiative aligns with the special attention that King Mohammed VI dedicates to children as part of the country's broad reform agenda. The draft law continues Morocco's legislative and institutional reforms in the field of child protection. It aims to address various legal and practical challenges, such as gaps in legislation concerning child protection centers. It also seeks to better respond to the specific needs of different categories of children. The bill outlines the establishment of a financially independent public entity with legal personality, responsible for implementing state policies in child protection and promoting children's rights. In the same context, children from across Morocco gathered in Rabat for a national consultation held on June 13–14. Organized by the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) with support from UNICEF Morocco, the event concluded a year-long series of consultations held in all 12 regions of the country. Children used the platform to express their views and called for stronger protection of their rights. In their appeal, children stressed their right to participate in all matters that concern them. They asked for their voices to be heard regularly, not just during special events, and for laws to guarantee their right to take part in decisions that affect their lives.
