SCOTLAND'S cheapest area for a chippy has been revealed - where fish and chips cost less than £10.
Ahead of National Fish & Chip Day on June 6, WDW Bingo crunched the numbers to uncover the UK's cheapest - and most expensive -places to enjoy this beloved British classic.

Researchers analysed thousands of menus for traditional fish and chip shops in over 50 locations across the UK.
Their data reveals where your money goes furthest for a portion of fish and chips.
Manchester tops the list as the most budget-friendly spot for a portion of fish and chips, averaging just £8.94.
Walsall (£9.17) and Dundee (£9.47) round out the top three, coming in second and third place, respectively.
Other affordable spots include Derby (£9.70), Bradford (£9.87) and Stoke-on-Trent (£9.88), all offering classic chippy fare for under a tenner.
Scotland's second city, Glasgow, makes the list at number 10 with an average price of £10.37.
Close behind Glasgow is Aberdeen (£10.67) and Edinburgh (£10.93).

It comes days after Scotland's best fish and chip shop was crowned in this year's annual takeaway awards.
Coming out top in the chippy category was Sea Salt and Sole in Aberdeen.
The takeaway, which has four locations in the city and surrounding area, commits to sourcing its haddock daily to provide customers with a fresh, delicious fish supper from sustainable suppliers.

The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) has recently updated its travel advice for Turkey, a popular Mediterranean destination for UK holidaymakers that welcomed over four million Brits in 2024. The FCDO, which provides essential information to British tourists, has issued an alert for those planning to visit Turkey. The update, made on Friday, June 20, states: "If you are a British national wanting to cross the land border from Iran into Turkey, you will need to request facilitation from the British Embassy in Ankara by contacting the FCDO before travelling to the border, indicating whether you are contacting from Iran or from the UK on behalf of a relative. "You will need to provide personal details (name, date of birth, details of travel document used to enter Turkey). This is required by the Turkish authorities. "The usual entry requirements will apply, including that British nationals can enter without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. If you intend to leave Iran overland, you do so at your own risk. "In Iran, holding a British passport or having perceived connections to the UK can be reason enough for the Iranian authorities to detain you", reports the Express. It comes as a result of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, with Iran issuing a warning to the UK, France and the US if the countries get involved. The US has now attacked nuclear sites in Iran. The Foreign Office also advises against all travel to some parts of Turkey. It states that Brits should not travel within 10km of the border with Syria "due to fighting and an heightened risk of terrorism". It added: "In Hakkari province [south east Turkey], you must get permission from the local Governor's Office to visit areas near the border with Iraq and Iran. If visiting with a travel agent or tour group, confirm with them whether you need an individual permit. Keep up to date with local media and follow the advice of the local authorities." Mount Ararat, which is a special military zone in Agri Province, requires permission from the Dogubayazit Government office and a fee being paid. Brits travelling with a travel agent or tour group are urged to confirm with them whether an individual permit is required. It is vital that "extra care" is taken if travelling to the area, as well as remaining updated by the local media and following the advice from local authorities.

Airline announces rescue flights from Israel to London after '25,000 requests'
El Al is to start rescue flights from Israel from Monday after receiving 25,000 request forms, the airline said. Israel's flag carrier said it would begin operations tomorrow with a strict cap of 50 passengers per flight, in line with government guidance. Under the scheme, passengers who leave Israel on a rescue flight will not be allowed to for at least 21 days. A total of 25,000 people have registered their interest since the system opened on Saturday night. Flights will operate to London, Paris, Athens, Rome, Larnaca, New York, Los Angeles and Bangkok. Currently, passengers can only book flights on El Al from July 15 after the airline suspended regular operations until at least June 27. El Al said in a statement: 'We are subject to and operate in accordance with the directives of the security establishment and the Ministry of Transportation. 'The safety and security of our passengers are our top priority, and we will continue to provide updates on any changes or new directives.' Following Israel's Operation Rising Lion air strikes targeting Iranian nuclear sites and Tehran's subsequent retaliation, the Foreign Office updated its travel advice on June 15, placing Israel on its red list. British citizens in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories are advised to 'follow local authorities' advice'. As well as rescue flights from Israel, the airline is running repatriation flights for Israeli citizens abroad from the same destinations.
