ICESCO Hosts 4th International Congress on Natural Products, Sustainable Development

The 4th International Congress on 'Natural Products and Sustainable Development' kicked off at the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat, Morocco.
The Congress is organized by the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW), an affiliate of ICESCO, in partnership with Mohammed V University in Rabat and the Averroès Foundation for the Promotion of Scientific Research and Innovation, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him.
This year's edition, which is being held under the theme 'Health, Nutrition, and Cosmetic Applications,' gathers participants from 47 universities across 27 countries, over the period spanning 29–31 May 2025.
Its objectives include deepening scientific research in the field of natural products and promoting their applications in health, agriculture, nutrition, and cosmetics. It also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and exploration of the latest scientific practices and technologies in this vital field.

Jon Bernthal Returning as The Punisher for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day"
Yara Sameh The Punisher is back. Jon Bernthal will be suiting up as the vigilante once again for 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day,' Sony and Marvel's latest web-slinging adventure. Bernthal first suited up as Punisher, aka Frank Castle, in Netflix's 2016 series 'Daredevil,' becoming a fan-favorite before starring in his spin-off series 'The Punisher' in 2017, which ran for two seasons. He most recently returned to the role earlier this year in the Disney+ series 'Daredevil: Born Again.' Bernthal is also set to appear in the second season and will return again for a 2026 Disney+ special centered on Punisher from director Reinaldo Marcus Green. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' marks the fourth film centered on Tom Holland's Peter Parker, following the Jon Watts-directed 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' (2017), 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' (2019), and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' (2021). Plot details on the fourth installment remain under wraps. 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' will swing into theaters on July 31, 2026. 'I know we left you with a massive cliff hanger at the end of 'No Way Home,' so 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That's all I can say,' Holland told the crowd at CinemaCon earlier this year via video message. 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will direct 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play Peter Parker's besties MJ and Ned, are expected to return. 'Stranger Things' star Sadie Sink will also appear in the upcoming film. Rana Atef Summer officially kicks off on 21 June, and it will last for 93 days, 15 hours, and 39 minutes. The summer solstice is taking place on June 21 at 5:42 am (Cairo time). Summer is the hottest of the four seasons, and it situates after spring and before autumn. During the summer solstice, daylight hours become longer, on the other hand, darkness hours become shortest. In addition, day length decreases as the season progresses after the solstice. The earliest sunrises and latest sunsets also occur near the date of the solstice. Summer is defined as starting at the summer solstice, the time of maximal insolation, identified on June 21.
