What are the odds Iowa football goes undefeated in 2025?
Could the 2025 season have some magic in store for the Iowa Hawkeyes? Is it possible that they could run the table and go undefeated given their slate?
It isn't necessarily the most likely, but based on the odds, crazier things have happened. The Hawkeyes are the beneficiaries of getting seven of their 12 games at home inside Kinnick Stadium, two of which appear to be their most difficult games on paper.
At home this year, in order, Iowa gets UAlbany, UMass, Indiana, Penn State, Minnesota, Oregon, and Michigan State. The matchups against Penn State and Oregon, two teams that made the 2024 College Football Playoff, are their toughest tests.
While the slate has just five road trips, the Week 2 trip takes Iowa to Iowa State for an early-season battle. The road slate, in order, takes Iowa to Iowa State, Rutgers, Wisconsin, USC, and Nebraska.
So, can Iowa run the table and go undefeated? According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Hawkeyes have the eighth-best odds to go undefeated, with odds of +6500.
At the top of the odds are the usual players in the Big Ten and national championship landscape. Ohio State (+400), Oregon (+440), and Penn State (+490) are the most likely to run the table with their regular-season slates.
Michigan sits with +1100 odds, and the upstart Illinois Fighting Illini, who many view as a sleeper, have +2800 odds to go undefeated. Rounding out the list before Iowa is Nebraska with +4000 odds and USC at +4800.

Shedeur Sanders cited for speeding twice in June amid Browns QB battle

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was cited by police on Tuesday morning for driving 101 mph, 40 mph over the speed limit. It turns out that Tuesday's infraction was not his first. According to Medina, Ohio court records Sanders received another citation in June. The first came on June 5 in Brunswick, Ohio where the former Colorado star quarterback was cited for going 91 mph in a 65 mph zone. Browns officials told that Sanders' "is taking care of the tickets." Sanders is squarely in the middle of a hard fought quarterback competition. He has pefermored well during spring practices, but only being a fifth round pick makes any negative feel like it could cost him a chance at playing meaningful football. At a Thursday afternoon charity softball game, Sanders attempted to apologize for his actions admitting, "I've made some wrong choices." The half-hearted apology does not seem like a concerted effort to improve his off field actions, but in the grand scheme of "things"incidents" a speeding ticket is very low on the totem pole. Whether Sanders learns from his two speeding tickets and fully owns up to his mistakes remains to be seen, but any off-field transgression will be under the spotlight considering his name and already highly publicizied first few months in the NFL. BREAKING: Oregon Ducks land commitment from 5-star S Jett Washington

The Oregon Ducks are officially on a recruiting hot streak. After landing 4-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton on Friday morning, Dan Lanning and his squad followed it up with a massive addition, getting a commitment from 5-star safety Jett Washington. Advertisement Standing at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, Washington is rated by 247Sports as the No. 18 player and No. 2 safety in the 2026 class. Washington is Oregon's second safety committed in the 2026 class, joining 4-star Xavier Lherisse. Washington was in Eugene last weekend for his official visit, and he had rave reviews after leaving Eugene. He was one of six 5-star players in town during the first weekend of June, joining the likes of S Joey O'Brien, EDGE Ricahed Wesley, WR Calvin Russell, CB Brandon Arrington, and LB Tyler Atkinson. Oregon had the No. 33-ranked class in the 2026 cycle before the addition of Washington, but they jumped up to No. 22 after adding the second 5-star recruit to their class. Going forward, there is a feeling that this hot streak will continue for Oregon, with a number of high-profile recruits coming to town this month for their visits. The Ducks are in good standing for the likes of 5-stars Ryder Lyons, Immanue Iheanacho, Anthony Jones, Calvin Russell, and many others. Where 5-Star Jett Washington ranks among Oregon's all-time highest-rated commits

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks scored a massive victory on the recruiting trail on Thursday night, getting a commitment from 5-star safety Jett Washington, the second 5-star player they've added to the 2026 class. Washington stands at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, and is rated by 247Sports as the No. 18 player in the 2026 class, and the No. 2 safety. With the addition of Washington, Oregon jumped up to No. 27 in the recruiting rankings for this cycle, and there's a belief that they will continue to climb quickly with more top-ranked players coming off the board shortly. Advertisement What's more interesting to note, though, is where Washington ranks among the top players, and top safeties to ever commit to the Ducks. Here's a look at where he stands when it comes to the best safeties ever to join Oregon: No. 5 — Tyree Robinson (4-star, 0.9337) — Class of 2013 No. 4 — Steve Stephens (4-star, 0.9430) — Class of 2018 No. 3 — Aaron Flowers (4-star, 0.9717) — Class of 2024 No. 2 — Trey McNutt (5-star, 0.9843) — Class of 2025 No. 1 — Jett Washington (5-star, 0.9846) — Class of 2026 While Washington's standing among safeties in Oregon history is elite, he also will go down as one of the top-ranked overall players to commit to the Ducks as well. EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux (5-star, 0.9987) — Class of 2019 WR Dakorien Moore (5-star, 0.9981) — Class of 2025 LB Justin Flowe (5-star, 0.9967) — Class of 2020 DL Haloti Ngata (5-star, 0.9962) — Class of 2002 RB Jonathan Stewart (5-star, 0.9952) — Class of 2005 CB Na'eem Offord (5-star, 0.9936) — Class of 2025 LB Noah Sewell (5-star, 0.9935) — Class of 2020 WR Cameron Colvin (5-star, 0.9932) — Class of 2004 RB De'Anthony Thomas (5-star, 0.9926) — Class of 2011 OT Josh Conerly (5-star, 0.9918) — Class of 2022 DL Arik Armstead (5-star, 0.9917) — Class of 2012 DLL Canton Kaumatule (5-star, 0.9909) — Class of 2015 RB Thomas Tyner (5-star, 0.9907) — Class of 2013 TE Kendre Harrison (5-star, 0.9894) — Class of 2026 WR Jurrion Dickey (5-star, 0.9857) — Class of 2023 S Jett Washington (5-star, 0.9846) — Class of 2026 S Trey McNutt (5-star, 0.9843) — Class of 2025 RB Lache Seastrung (5-star, 0.9841) — Class of 2010 CB Dontae Manning (5-star, 0.9840) — Class of 2020 RB Royce Freeman (4-star, 0.9831) — Class of 2014 When looking at those rankings, two things stand out at first glance: One, Oregon's 2025 class was loaded at the top, with 5-star Dakorien Moore (No. 2 all-time), 5-star Na'eem Offord (No. 8 all-time), and 5-star Trey McNutt (No. 17 all-time) in the class. Second, Oregon's 2026 class is stacking up nicely, with both Kendre Harrison and Washington ranking as the No. 14 and No. 16 all-time recruits for the Ducks. If the Ducks can land 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho soon, as is the expectation, it would get even better, with 'Nacho' taking over the No. 4 spot on Oregon's all-time list, moving ahead of Haloti Ngata.
