The wife of the Oilers captain was candid in an interview published by The Canadian Press on Monday, sharing both her superstitious routine and the emotional weight of being a "hockey wife," let alone being married to one of hockey's most scrutinized stars.
Lauren said that she'll be watching Game 6 at her new business, Bar Trove, in her same heels, same red handbag, and same exact spot she stood when McDavid scored his first goal of the Stanley Cup Final in Game 5.
"It's a feeling and, if anything positive happens, you got to stay in that position," Lauren said about her pre-game rituals. "It's really silly, but everyone has superstitions."

Lauren also spoke about her husband's own habits, although she chose not to reveal the details.
"(Connor) does a lot of things before a game. He is extremely, extremely ritual-based," Lauren said. "But I'm going to actually leave that as a secret."

The couple often takes walks with their dog Leonard after home games, decompressing together with conversation and film. Lauren said they plan to keep doing the same going forward.
'We'll usually do a loop around the neighbourhood after games," Lauren said. "And then we usually watch a show and we chat.'
Finally, Lauren acknowledged the unique strain that comes with being married to an NHL star.

"It's actually very difficult," Lauren said. "There's a lot of stress. There is such a strain on your family. People don't know about the struggles that are on the inside."
McDavid will lead the Oilers onto the ice on Tuesday for a must-win Game 6, where Edmonton is playing for its life and aiming to force Game 7 back home.

The Most Popular Types Of PVC Patches That Exist

Ever seen the funky and trendy style patches on stuff like backpacks, t-shirts, and even footwear and wondered what they are? Well, let us explore together what they are and how these emblems are made. The fashionable crests that you often see mostly on fashion items are called PVC Patches. They are made up of a type of plastic that is called polyvinyl chloride. They are pretty durable and waterproof. In this blog, we will go through the five types and help you find the best one to embellish your next apparel or accessories. The Patches are made of Polyvinyl Chloride, which is the same PVC used for industrial purposes. These are, hence, highly durable. They are resistant to hot and dry weather as well as heavy rain. Furthermore, because of the material they are made of, they are also resistant to any damage like tearing or color fading. PVC crests are known for their longevity in color. Due to the material's properties and the process of manufacturing, the emblems are inherently long-lasting. Think of these labels in the renowned brands of footwear and the ones designed especially for athletes. They are hard-wearing, and their color and structure do not wear off easily. The crests, like Custom Patches Canada, apart from their longevity and sustainability, also come with endless customization options. They are easy to mold and cheap to customize. The reasons for their manageable customization are the variety in color options, designs, shapes and sizes and the easy application method. The major plus point of going for Polyvinyl Chloride patches is their variety in designs and functionality. Whether it is for fashionable or more practical purposes, there is always something to choose from the variety. The most common type of crest is the two-dimensional or 2D one. The design is commonly made with two layers of PVC. The type is simple in design and has a flatter look with no protrusion of images, etc, unlike in 3D ones. As a result of their simplicity, they are more used in military uniforms, dresses of schools and colleges, sporting apparel and even in promotional items and for branding purposes of products. In terms of cost, the 2D patches are cheaper to make and customize as compared to its counterparts. Another type of PVC badge is the three-dimensional emblem. The design is formed with more than two layers of PVC and is more protruding in shape due to the added layers. The design features more immersive images and letters. The shape of the patches is commonly concave in nature. Due to their 3D effect, they are mostly used in fashion items like clothing and footgear and are also used in accessories like backpacks. The 3D patches are a bit expensive in price as compared to the 2D ones due to the requirement for a more detailed design. PVC patches also come with the sew-on feature. This type is called a sewable or sew-on rubber emblem. The PVC Patches Canada comes with no adhesive back, but the edges are easily and directly sewn to the material, mostly made of fabrics. Their sew-on nature makes them multipurpose. They can be used to stylize casual clothing or even accessorize items like backpacks, hats, caps etc. Velcro emblems are another common and durable PVC Patches type. They are mostly used for military uniforms but are also often made for fashion accessories. Along with the customization in shape and design, the most fascinating part about these crests is that they can be easily attached and detached from the surface. These patches are made of the hook and the loop system wherein the hook part has small hooks, and the loop part consists of soft, tiny loops. These two parts are pressed together to fasten the patch in place. These patches, similar to the other PVC crests, are hard-wearing and waterproof in quality. The back of these emblems is made of a self-adhesive layer, which allows these crests to be easily stuck and peeled from the surface. They are highly versatile in use and are used from tactical to daily use items, including tools, machinery, apparel of different kinds, including fashion and more practical ones like military gear. They are also frequently used in giveaways of promotional products and items. How to order a Custom PVC patch? The method is typically followed by submitting the design of your choice to a specialist patch maker. During the order process, the customer is required to explain the design requirements and can submit the artwork in PDF or any other image file format online for reference. How do you find the attachable PVC patches? Some of the types of PVC patches come with attachable options, which include Velcro, adhesive and sewable patches. The PVC patches are the trending accessorizing materials that come with the advantage of multi-functionality. They are not just used to enhance casual clothing and daily accessories but are also used for functional purposes. You can use them for army attire, technical tools, and merchandise to uniforms and promotional products. Apart from their functionality, the most interesting fact about these crests is their durability. The material used in these patches prevents them from causing most of the damage, including peeling, tearing and fading of the color of the material. It does not stop here because there is more; the rubber crests, along with their versatility, also usually come with customization options. These patches also vary widely in type. Choosing the right PVC patch type is up to you, as per your requirements. If you are looking for a simple and more practical choice, you can go for the 2D and Velcro. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more embellished and funky look, then you can choose from types like 3D and adhesive patches. TIME BUSINESS NEWS

Drake Laments The 'Other Side Of Gambling,' Revealing Almost $20M Loss: 'So Fried Right Now'

is speaking up about the not-so-glamorous parts of gambling, admitting that he has suffered some big losses. In recent years, the rapper has become the face of gambling following a multi-million-dollar deal with the online Casino company, Stake. However, in an unprecedented move, Drake, who bragged about taking home $40 million just months ago, decided to be relatable to his fans in a recent post. In an Instagram Stories update, the Canadian rapper was transparent with his followers about how much money he bleeds from placing bets. Per PopCrave, he uploaded a screenshot of his records, revealing that he spent a whopping $125 million in a month on just gambling, but ended up with a loss of $8.2 million. Detailed in the image was also a $50 million bet the "Nokia" rapper placed under a week. Unfortunately, he ended up losing $5 million. Another bet of $75 million, placed in a period of two weeks, resulted in a loss of $5 million once again. Although the image doesn't specify the periods of the bet, in total, Drake seems to have lost almost $20 million. "Gotta share the other side of gambling, the rapper candidly wrote alongside the screenshot before adding: "Losses are so fried right now, I hope I can post a big win for you all soon cause I'm the only one that has never seen a max these guys max once a week." Drake's gambling records wasted no time making rounds on the internet, and fans heavily criticized him for his excessive spending. "Wasting 5 million dollars just like that and there are people starving every day," one comment read. "He's obviously not good at picking the right hits, needs to stop gambling," a second fan advised, while another called him a "Certified Loser Boy," a play on his sixth studio album, "Certified Lover Boy." Other concerned fans theorized that the five-time Grammy winner might have a gambling addiction. This user predicted, "What a deadset loser. If Drake keeps this up, he's going to be broke one day." A fifth fan added, "As Kendrick said, bro definitely has gambling problems." Drake's candid revelation comes a month after he blamed his fellow Canadian, Justin Bieber, for losing a million dollars. As The Blast reported, the "God's Plan" rapper placed a $1 million bet on the Toronto Maple Leafs to defeat the Florida Panthers in May 2025. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side with the Panthers leading 6-1. Rather than take responsibility for his poor predictions, Drake pointed accusing fingers at Bieber. He claimed that the "Baby" singer's surprise appearance at the game brought bad luck. In an Instagram Stories update, he simply wrote, "Bieber curse." The 38-year-old placed two separate bets totaling $1.25 million, with potential earnings exceeding $4.1 million. Although the "Degrassi: The Next Generation" alum has been on a losing streak lately, that hasn't always been the case. Back in March, he opened up about scoring a massive win of $40 million. In a promotional video for Stake, Drake discussed a "crazy" night he had at Dave & Buster's. Recalling how he "hit like eight out of 10 numbers" playing roulette, the rapper said: I think by the end of the night, we had won like 38 million? 40 million? Yeah, $40 million. It's crazy, the craziest night ever gambling for sure. January of 2024, it was crazy. That's not even the word for it." Despite such a grand win, Drake admitted he isn't the most expert gambler he knows in Hollywood, giving credit to Michael Jordan. In the promotional clip, the "One Dance" rapper called the basketball legend a "real-life gambling GOAT (greatest of all time)" because he can "gamble on anything." Drake told the story of beating Jordan at ping-pong during an NBA All-Star weekend, saying the retired athlete "just wouldn't leave the ping-pong table." He then added, "He just kept betting me, like, bands. 10 bands, 20 bands. Just kept betting because he just couldn't stomach the loss, you know? I respect him deeply for his gambling nature."
