WWE SmackDown after Money in the Bank PLE was a star-studded night with thrilling matches and moments.
The June 13th edition of
WWE
SmackDown took place at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
This was the fallout episode of WWE Money in the Bank, which kicked off to a huge start, featured multiple King and Queen of the Ring tournament opening round matches, and ended with a blockbuster main event with Cody Rhodes emerging victorious.
Opening segment with
John Cena
— WWE (@WWE)
John Cena came out to open the show and spoke about his tactics on his farewell tour, which had been a success, and gave everything he wanted. He even took shots at his upcoming Night of Champions opponent, CM Punk.
This led to the arrival of Cody Rhodes, who reminded Cena that he pinned him at Money in the Bank PLE. Furthermore, Randy Orton returned for the first time since losing to Cena at WWE Backlash PLE, followed by LA Knight.
Cena chose to leave the ring, but R-Truth attacked him on the entrance ramp.
Randy Orton vs Aleister Black vs Carmelo Hayes vs LA Knight
This was the first Fatal 4-Way match in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament. The match was highly spectacular to witness as all four competitors brought different styles to the bout, with high stakes involved.
As the ending approached, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker attacked LA Knight. Carmelo Hayes tried to take advantage with a top rope move, but landed in an RKO by Orton on top of LA Knight, who pinned him for the win and will now face Sami Zayn in the semi-finals match.
Jade Cargill vs Nia Jax vs Michin vs Piper Niven
This was the first Fatal 4-Way match in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament. The match was an exciting in-ring showdown, with temporary alliances also forming during the match.
In the final moments of the bout, Piper Niven took out Nia Jax outside the ring and looked to dispatch Michin inside the ring. Just then, Jade Cargill planted her with the Jaded to pick up the win and advance in the tournament to face Roxanne Perez in the semi-finals.
Motor City Machine Guns vs The Wyatt Sicks
This was a tag team match between The Motor City Machine Guns and Wyatt Sicks members, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy. The tag team action was on full display as other members of The Wyats, alongside Uncle Howdy, watched from the ringside area.
The match came to an end when Dexter Lumis delivered a huge leg drop from the top rope to Chris Sabin and pinned him for the win.
John Cena's segment with CM Punk
John Cena came out in anger to confront R-Truth, who had attacked him earlier. Instead, CM Punk came out and berated Cena in his classic style. He accused him of trying to be like him and promised to save wrestling that he is trying to ruin. As he left, Cena was once again attacked by Truth from behind and locked in the STF as Punk watched.
Charlotte Flair vs Alexa Bliss vs Candice LeRae vs Alba Fyre
This was the first Fatal 4-Way match in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Originally, Chelsea Green was supposed to be in the match. However, she could not make it to the show, and Nick Aldis put Alba Fyre in the match. Much like the first match earlier in the night, it was a captivating showdown that saw an interesting end. As Charlotte Flair had Alba Fyre in the Figure Eight, Alexa Bliss planted Candice LeRae with the Sister Abigail DDT to win the match.
Cody Rhodes vs Damian Priest vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Andrade El Idolo
The main event match was the second Fatal 4-Way match in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament. It was easily the best match of the night, garnering loud applause from the audience. Moreover, it saw the action spill all over the ringside and even saw the use of tables. It came to an end when Cody Rhodes delivered the Cross Rhodes on both Shinsuke Nakamura and Andrade El Idolo and pinned Nakamura to advance to the next round.

'Gisele get your ex-husband': Fans mock Tom Brady after being humiliated by Eli Manning and drag Gisele Bündchen into the chaos

Tom Brady and Eli Manning's playful rivalry took center stage once again at Fanatics Fest 2025 in New York City, but it was a surprise 'takedown' and fans' reactions that stole the show. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now During a dramatic, WWE-style entrance at the Javits Center, the former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback mimicked pro wrestling star Cody Rhodes, stomping jerseys and hyping the crowd — until Eli Manning ambushed him with a piggyback-style 'tackle' that sent fans into a frenzy. Tom Brady's heel act backfires as Eli Manning delivers a surprise stage ambush Tom Brady made a show-stopping entrance to Cody Rhodes' walkout music, tearing apart a New York Jets jersey and theatrically shredding Eli Manning's Giants jersey in front of a raucous crowd. But as the moment reached peak drama, Manning entered the scene and jumped on Brady's back, WWE-style, catching the NFL legend off guard and creating a viral moment that lit up social media. Brady, who leaned fully into the 'villain' role during the entrance, didn't seem to expect the friendly ambush. The mock wrestling move not only drew laughs from the live audience but quickly became meme-worthy online. Fans drag Gisele Bündchen into the moment The unexpected moment wasn't just about football legends reenacting a wrestling skit. It quickly turned into a social media spectacle, with fans calling on Brady's ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, to step in. One viral Reddit comment read, 'Gisele get your ex-husband. She took jiu-jitsu classes,' referencing the model's well-known training in martial arts following their 2022 divorce. Bündchen's background in jiu-jitsu became meme fodder as fans joked that she might be the only one capable of 'saving' Brady from the Manning ambush. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The banter brought Brady and Bündchen's past relationship back into the spotlight, showing just how invested fans still are in their dynamic — even post-divorce. The Fanatics Fest moment was far from the first time Brady and Manning have exchanged playful jabs. Earlier in the event, Brady had scrawled 'F**k off' on a Giants jersey for Manning to sign. Manning responded in classic fashion, signing with a dry 'Good game.' Also Read: Even off the gridiron, their long-standing rivalry continues to entertain. From football to 'futbol,' their banter — now with the internet's help — keeps the legends as relevant as ever.

John Cena promises ‘something special' ahead of WWE Night of Champions showdown with CM Punk

Image via WWE WWE fans are in for a major treat at Night of Champions, as John Cena has teased 'something special' in his much-anticipated clash with CM Punk. The 17-time world champion, who recently shocked fans by turning heel, made the promise during WWE's SummerSlam Kickoff event in New York. Cena, currently holding the Undisputed WWE Championship, remained tight-lipped about specifics but dropped enough hints to send fans into a frenzy. 'If you're enjoying what we're doing on TV right now, then you have to watch Night of Champions - it's going to be effing great,' Cena said. 'We're cooking up something special. Don't miss it.' John Cena has fun teasing the WWE Universe: SummerSlam 2025 Kickoff highlights SmackDown Pipebomb sends shockwaves This comment follows Cena's already viral 'pipebomb' promo on SmackDown, where he delivered a scathing response to CM Punk, recreating Punk's iconic 2011 moment. In a stunning reversal, Cena laid Punk out with a low blow, followed by an Attitude Adjustment through a table. He then climbed the turnbuckle to deliver a promo that broke the fourth wall and took direct aim at Punk's legacy. FULL SEGMENT: John Cena recreates CM Punk's famous 'pipebomb': SmackDown, June 20, 2025 During the segment, Cena called Punk 'the best bullsh*tter in the world' and referenced several former WWE stars including Matt Cardona, Claudio Castagnoli, and Nic Nemeth - all of whom have since responded on social media. Cena ended the promo by declaring that Punk's prime was 14 years ago, while 'John Cena is, and always has been, the greatest of all time.' At Fanatics Fest in New York, Cena showed his lighter side as he joked with fans while failing to hit an arcade punching bag. 'I haven't hit anyone for real in 25 years,' he quipped. These humorous moments provided a sharp contrast to his current on-screen persona - a darker, edgier version of the superstar WWE fans once saw as a perennial babyface. As Cena prepares to defend his title against Punk at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28, speculation is swirling. Is there a surprise return planned? A major storyline twist? Or could this be the setup for Cena's final match as a full-time performer? What's clear is that Cena's heel run, his first since 2003 - has added new intrigue to his storied career. With the WWE Universe on edge, all eyes are now on Riyadh. One thing's certain: John Cena isn't done making headlines just yet.
