WWE
fans are in for a major treat at Night of Champions, as
John Cena
has teased 'something special' in his much-anticipated clash with CM Punk. The 17-time world champion, who recently shocked fans by turning heel, made the promise during WWE's SummerSlam Kickoff event in New York.
Cena, currently holding the Undisputed WWE Championship, remained tight-lipped about specifics but dropped enough hints to send fans into a frenzy. 'If you're enjoying what we're doing on TV right now, then you have to watch Night of Champions - it's going to be effing great,' Cena said. 'We're cooking up something special. Don't miss it.'

SmackDown Pipebomb sends shockwaves
This comment follows Cena's already viral 'pipebomb' promo on SmackDown, where he delivered a scathing response to CM Punk, recreating Punk's iconic 2011 moment.
In a stunning reversal, Cena laid Punk out with a low blow, followed by an Attitude Adjustment through a table. He then climbed the turnbuckle to deliver a promo that broke the fourth wall and took direct aim at Punk's legacy.

During the segment, Cena called Punk 'the best bullsh*tter in the world' and referenced several former WWE stars including Matt Cardona, Claudio Castagnoli, and Nic Nemeth - all of whom have since responded on social media.
Cena ended the promo by declaring that Punk's prime was 14 years ago, while 'John Cena is, and always has been, the greatest of all time.'
At Fanatics Fest in New York, Cena showed his lighter side as he joked with fans while failing to hit an arcade punching bag. 'I haven't hit anyone for real in 25 years,' he quipped. These humorous moments provided a sharp contrast to his current on-screen persona - a darker, edgier version of the superstar WWE fans once saw as a perennial babyface.
As Cena prepares to defend his title against Punk at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 28, speculation is swirling. Is there a surprise return planned? A major storyline twist? Or could this be the setup for Cena's final match as a full-time performer?
What's clear is that Cena's heel run, his first since 2003 - has added new intrigue to his storied career. With the WWE Universe on edge, all eyes are now on Riyadh.
One thing's certain: John Cena isn't done making headlines just yet.

"In Middle Of...": Rohit Sharma Narrates Tale Of His Romantic Proposal To Wife Ritika Sajdeh

India ODI captain Rohit Sharma opened up on his romantic marriage proposal to wife Ritika Sajdeh. Rohit announced his Test retirement last month and is currently not part of the Indian team for the ongoing Test series against England. He was last seen in action during the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) season. During an interaction with former India spinner Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra, Rohit narrated the tale of how he orchestrated a surprise proposal by taking Ritika to his childhood cricket ground. Rohit also revealed that he took Ritika to the ground under the pretense of having ice cream. "My proposal was quite romantic. I took her to the place where I started playing cricket. We were here only (somewhere along Marine Drive apparently). She had brought food from home. We ate it. So, I was just sitting. Then I told her let's go out to eat ice cream, I'm bored. Then we took the car out, we left. We left from Marine Drive, crossed Haji Ali, Worli. So, she asked where is the ice cream shop? She does not know anything after Bandra. I told her there's a good one in Borivali, where I live. You've never come, so let me show you," revealed Rohit. Rohit recalled that he got down on one knee to propose Ritika in the middle of ground, a moment which was beautifully captured by his friends. "It was a ground and it was pitch dark and she didn't realise it was a ground. Then I had already told my friend to set up something there at the ground and just be there to capture the moment. We parked the car. Then I went on my knees, in the middle of the pitch. Then, I proposed to her," he added. Rohit's retirement from Test cricket came days before former India Virat Kohli also made the shock announcement that he won't be playing in the whites again for India either. Both Rohit and Kohli had also retired from T20Is last year, following India's win over South Africa in the T20 World Cup final.

Fact Check: Did Jasprit Bumrah Use Sandpaper During IND vs ENG 1st Test? Heres the Truth Behind the Viral Video

A video featuring Indian fast-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has gone viral on social media, triggering a wave of speculation and false accusations. The clip, which is being widely circulated by some fans and social media users, claiming that Bumrah was caught using sandpaper during the India vs England 1st Test at Headingley, Leeds. But is there any truth to this claim? Here's what really happened. The Viral Video and False Claims The clip in question shows Bumrah bending down to adjust his shoe during a break in play. As he does so, a small object is seen falling from his footwear. A section of fans, particularly from Australia, jumped on the opportunity to suggest that the object was sandpaper, hinting at ball tampering, a sensitive topic in cricket ever since the infamous 2018 "Sandpapergate" scandal involving Australia. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ganesh (@cricketmerapyar1) What Actually Happened: The Real Story The truth, however, is far from what is being suggested. The video in question isn't from the current IND vs ENG series, but from a Test match in Sydney during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, held earlier in 2024–25. And that mysterious object? It was not sandpaper. Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin stepped in to clear the air during that time. In a humorous yet direct post on X (formerly Twitter), he said, 'That's a finger protection pad ' The tweet instantly diffusing the situation and clarifying that the item seen in the video was a finger protection pad commonly used by bowlers, not sandpaper. Context Matters: Why the Confusion? Bumrah is known for slipping in shoe padding or wearing protective inserts to reduce the strain on his feet, especially given the high-impact nature of fast bowling. What fell from his shoe was likely such a pad or an inner cushioning used to provide comfort during his delivery stride. Such accessories are entirely legal and common among professional fast bowlers, making the sandpaper allegations baseless. The Real Focus: India vs England 1st Test at Headingley While old videos and false claims were making rounds, Jasprit Bumrah was busy doing what he does best , dismantling batting orders. In the ongoing first Test at Headingley, Bumrah picked up three crucial wickets, showing once again why he is considered one of the best fast bowlers in the world. India posted a formidable 471 runs in the first innings, powered by centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. In response, England are 327/5 in 77 overs during the ongoing match at Leeds. No Sandpaper, Just Sensationalism The claim that Jasprit Bumrah ever used sandpaper is false and based on an out-of-context video from a different series. With Ashwin clarifying the object as a finger pad and no credible evidence of tampering, the controversy appears to be a classic case of internet-fueled misinformation. People should not believe everything they see on internet instead try to read about it properly. This Fact check was in respect for Bumrah who has been relentlessly bowling exceptional for India irrespective of the format or condition.
