1. Jackson Cantwell to Oregon
When Cantwell moved his commitment date up to April 30 it was a signal that he was much closer to deciding his school choice than we anticipated. But when he only moved his Oregon official visit up to April 26-27 that was a great sign for the Ducks.

Cantwell has a tremendous relationship with coach Dan Lanning and has told Rivals that Lanning is probably his favorite head coach. Lanning has deep ties to Missouri and went to high school in the Kansas City area. The entire staff has recruited Cantwell hard from the start and the Ducks are now a yearly national title contender.
Pair all that with a world-class track program and I've got Cantwell announcing he's a Duck on April 30.

2. Ohio State keeps four-star LB Cincere Johnson home
There are some elite programs after the Ohio native. Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State and USC are all heavily involved for him and will get official visits. Johnson has visited these schools and others this spring but I'm placing an early FutureCast in favor of the in-state Buckeyes.

Johnson is looking for development and elite linebacker production when thinking about his top schools. The Buckeyes offer that, are close to home and are coming off a national championship. Coach Ryan Day and his staff have recruited Johnson hard and it's tough to see him turning the program down.

3. Roman Voss commits to Iowa
I'm calling my shot early on this one. Voss hasn't really hit the road in full force yet this spring but is hoping to get out to several schools. There are many schools around the country hoping to get him on campus to stop this from being a Minnesota–Iowa battle.

But in the end, I think the Minnesota native will ultimately commit to the Iowa Hawkeyes. It was a game changer for Voss when the Hawkeyes offered him as a tight end. The program's history at the position speaks for itself and Iowa puts tight ends into the NFL on a yearly basis.

The Hawkeyes are once again finding diamonds in the rough as their latest commitment comes from a hidden gem whom they witnessed firsthand rather recently. The Hawkeyes offered the 6-1 183 183-pound safety on Sunday after he participated in a camp with them on Thursday. Hill committed the same day to give Iowa its tenth commit in the 2026 class. Hill is a three-star prospect out of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Adlai Stevenson High School. Hill chose the Hawkeyes over offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Kent State. He's the 125th-best safety prospect and 18th-best prospect from Michigan in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. Hill is a dual-sport high school athlete, also competing in track and field. Hill also plays wide receiver for Adlai Stevenson, where he had 19 receptions for 292 yards and a touchdown during his junior year. He also added 11 tackles on the defensive end of the ball in just four games. He's the second defensive back in Iowa's 2026 class. Former Oregon football 5-star announces commitment to SEC school
For a matter of 17 days, 5-star edge rusher Richard Wesley was a member of the Oregon Ducks' 2026 recruiting class. Now, just over a month later, Wesley has announced that he is joining an SEC school instead. On Sunday afternoon, Wesley, the No. 14 player and No. 2 EDGE in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports Composite, announced that he is committing to the Texas Longhorns. Wesley announced his commitment to Oregon early in May by jumping into a pool with Dan Lanning, but later announced his decommitment less than a month later. This is a tough blow for Oregon, which felt like they were still in a good position to land Wesley despite his decommitment. There was a sense that things needed to be straightened out on the back-end with an NIL deal, but the love between the player and school was still there. Apparently, Wesley saw enough this weekend on his official visit to Texas to commit to the Longhorns, though. Wesley still has an OV scheduled to Ohio State for the beginning of the college football season, on a week when they play Texas. We will see if he still keeps that visit scheduled and if he sticks with the Longhorns longer than he did with the Ducks. 5-star Immanuel Iheanacho takes on Dan Lanning in push-up contest during Oregon visit
We've seen Dan Lanning rip his shirt off and jump into a pool with a recruit before, and now we've seen him take on a monster of a prospect in a push-up contest as well. On Saturday morning, 5-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho posted a video to his X account of him and Lanning going head-to-head in a push-up contest, seeing who could get to 25 reps the fastest. In the video, and again in his caption, Iheanacho declares himself the winner, though to Lanning's credit, it was a very close call. Advertisement This is a huge visit for the Oregon Ducks, with Iheanacho arguably the No. 1 player on their recruiting board as the No. 2 OT in the 2026 class, and the No. 8 player in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-6, 345 pounds, Iheanacho projects to be a massive difference-maker at the next level, and the Ducks are doing everything they can to try and get him on board. This isn't the first time that Lanning has participated in a recruit's video, with the first one coming early in May when Oregon's coach did a cannonball alongside 5-star EDGE Richard Wesley to announce his commitment. Wesley later decommitted a couple of weeks later, but it was a good chance to show that Lanning is willing to do what it takes to land a recruit and participate in their fun announcements. There's a feeling that the Ducks aren't going to need to do too much to get Iheanacho on board. The 5-star has been predicted to commit to Oregon for a couple of months now, and while he has an announcement date of August 5, there is speculation that his commitment could come as soon as this weekend while on his official visit in Eugene.
