Meghan Markle reveals Prince Harry's unhealthy eating habits
Meghan Markle has shed light on her husband Prince Harry's eating habits as she launches her new cooking show, With Love, Meghan.
The Netflix show was originally due to be released in January but was postponed due to the California wildfires. The series consists of eight 33 minute-long episodes, with special appearances from some of the former actor's friends including Mindy Kaling and one of her former Suits co-stars, Abigail Spencer.
During the series, the 43-year-old hints at her life behind the scenes, as she refers to making her children breakfast in the morning and 'doing the school run'.
Using organic ingredients, including tomatoes and herbs sourced from her own garden, the Duchess of Sussex shared her love for making things from scratch, including food but also bath salts, candles, and balloon arches.
In episode two, 'Welcome to the Party', Markle cooked with Office US star Kaling. As she prepared ahead of their meeting, she cut up some vegetables.
'I'll make some bacon too. I find when I'm cooking bacon, my kitchen very immediately becomes full of husband and three dogs,' she said. 'It's not my perfume that's bringing them all in. My bacon brings all the boys to the yard.'
Later, she revealed Prince Harry's love for salt. As Kaling asked how she manages to season her food so perfectly, Markle explained that Harry's influence has prompted her to be more careful.
'Well, I have a family, a husband, who no matter what meal is put in front of him, before he tastes it, puts salt on,' she said. 'So I try to under-salt.'
'I love knowing that your husband likes it salty,' Kaling replied.
In episode three, 'Two Kids from LA', Markle is joined by chef Roy Choi as they bond over growing up in Los Angeles. As Choi teaches Markle how to cook flavoursome Korean fried chicken, Markle added that Harry 'loves fried chicken'.
The show marks Markle's second program with Netflix after 2022's Harry & Meghan tell-all royal docuseries, which was watched by over 2.4 million people on its launch day.
The Duchess – who runs her yet-to-be-launched lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which was recently rebranded As Ever – explains that her program is about 'connecting with friends' and making new ones in a trailer for the series.

Netflix's newest No. 1 movie is an animated action-comedy with a wild premise — and it's 94% on Rotten Tomatoes
Netflix subscribers are hooked on the streaming service's latest original release, and it's got a pretty wild premise. The movie in question is "KPop Demon Hunters," a new animated action-comedy musical from Sony Pictures Animation. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the movie revolves around an all-female K-Pop trio who dominate the music scene while secretly protecting humanity from evil demons. It's certainly a left-field pitch compared to the average Netflix movie, and I'll admit to initially writing it off, but make no mistake: "KPop Demon Hunters" is an absolute blast. I'm not the only fan either: within days of its Netflix release on June 20, viewers have sent "KPop Demon Hunters" straight to the top of the streamer's top 10 movies list in the US. It also comes highly recommended, too; at the time of writing. It's sitting at a 94% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. If that's piqued your interest, and now you're considering whether to stream "KPop Demon Hunters" on Netflix, here's a little bit more info about the new Netflix movie, and a quick round-up of what people have said about it already. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The clue's in the title here. Netflix's "KPop Demon Hunters" revolves around a KPop band called "Huntrix." Huntrix is comprised of three superstars — Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) — and the band already has legions of adoring fans. The duo deals with the demands of being popstars while secretly also being the latest generation of demon hunters, ready to use their voices and combat prowess to fight back against the ever-present threat from those evil supernatural forces. Tasked with creating the barrier that holds the demons back, the girls face a new threat in the form of "The Saja Boys," an irresistible rival boyband of demons in disguise. The "KPop Demon Hunters" voice cast also features Ahn Hyo-seop, Yunjin Kim, Joel Kim Booster, Liza Koshy, Daniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong, and Byung Hun Lee. Whether you're a die-hard KPop stan or not, "KPop Demon Hunters" comes highly recommended. Over on the review aggregate site, Rotten Tomatoes, it's sitting at a 94% critics score and an equally impressive 93% score on the Popcornmeter, indicating, essentially, that viewers like what they've seen. Need specific opinions? Well, IGN's Toussaint Egan called the movie "a stunning animated action musical to tide you over until "Beyond the Spider-Verse"," adding: "It isn't just a worthy, frequently hilarious follow-up to SPA's Oscar-nominated masterpiece. It's a relentless celebration of both the music that inspired it and the medium of animation itself." Similarly, Collider's Jeff Ewing labelled "KPop Demon Hunters" an "unmissable" watch and "a charming fantasy-action with catchy tunes, leaning into its absurdity for a fine animated tale." Like I mentioned above, I initially put "KPop Demon Hunters" firmly in the "not for me" category. However, having seen it shoot straight to the top of the Netflix charts, I relented and checked it out... and was so glad I did. When I clocked it was a Sony Pictures Animation project, I knew I was in for a good time, after both the "Spider-Verse" flicks and 2021's "The Mitchells vs the Machines," and this is another success for the studio. "KPop Demon Hunters" is unironically a killer combo of dynamic, fluid animation with plenty of personality, a great sense of humor, a simple but engaging story, solid action, and some seriously catchy tunes. Take it from me: this is absolutely worth a watch. Not sold on Netflix's new release and still in need of more streaming recommendations? We can help. Princess Kate and Sophie's Perfect Curtsy Moment Goes Viral
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Princess Kate and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, timing their curtsies perfectly went viral on TikTok. The royal relatives looked in sync as they performed the royal gesture for King Charles III and Queen Camilla during the carriage procession for the order of the Garter service on June 16. Kate looked elegant in a white dress by Self-Portrait and a matching hat by Sean Barrett as she watched outside St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images Why It Matters A clip of the moment they curtsied perfectly in time went viral on TikTok where it was liked 9,000 times and viewed 125,000 times. What to Know The footage shows the two women curtsy to Charles and Camilla at exactly the same time as they watch the procession. Royal curtsies have been debated in recent years since Meghan Markle famously performed a mock reenactment of the first time she curtsied to Queen Elizabeth II, which offended many, during her December 2022 Netflix show Harry & Meghan. Since then, there has been a greater focus on royal curtsies on social media sites like TikTok. The Order of the Garter is Britain's oldest code of chivalry and dates back to 1348 when it was created by Edward III. The royal family's website read: "In medieval times, King Edward III was so inspired by tales of King Arthur and the chivalry of the Knights of the Round Table that he set up his own group of honourable knights, called the Order of the Garter." The king and queen are both members as are Prince William and Sophie's husband Prince Edward. Prince Andrew remains a member despite his retreat from public life, which meant he skipped the service at St George's Chapel, thought the BBC reported he attended a lunch for knights and ladies of the Garter hosted by King Charles III. What People Are Saying The footage was posted with the message, "Curtsy. Synchronously🎀🪷," while one reply suggested it was a "very sweet" moment. After the service, Kate and William's official account on X posted: "A pleasure attending the Order of the Garter today in Windsor. A brilliant celebration of tradition, service and duty. Thank you to everyone involved." Jack Royston is chief royal correspondent for Newsweek, based in London. Prince Harry to reach out to Prince William, King Charles about special UK invitation
Prince Harry will be inviting his estranged family members to the 2027 Invictus Games in hope of a royal reconciliation, according to a report. The Duke of Sussex, 40, is set to extend an invitation to King Charles and Prince William to the ceremony, which is slated to take place in Birmingham in July that year. Insiders say the 'Spare' author will be emailing invitations to Buckingham Palace this month, which will later be followed by formal invitations nearer the time. 4 Prince Harry will be inviting his estranged family members to the 2027 Invictus Games in hope of a royal reconciliation, according to a report. Getty Images Harry is believed to have approved the royal guest list and the wording of the invitations already. 'Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family,' a source told the Daily Mail. 'The Royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him that might be reciprocated.' However, the royals will have a tricky decision to make. The Games will open on July 12, 2027 and conclude on July 17 — which coincides with Queen Camilla's 80th birthday. 4 The Duke of Sussex, 40, is set to extend an invitation to King Charles and Prince William to the ceremony. Getty Images Celebration planning is already underway for the royal event, so it's unclear whether the royals will opt to decline Harry's invitation. It's said that the invites represent the first time the duke has publicly reached out to his family since the royal rift began more than five years ago. The Post has reached out to Harry's reps for comment. It remains to be seen whether Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet will be coming to the UK for the event, as the royal had previously insisted this was not an option without 'full police protection' — for which he lost his appeal earlier this year. 4 Insiders say the 'Spare' author will be emailing invitations to Buckingham Palace this month. Getty Images If the 'Suits' alum, 43, opts not to return to her husband's homeland, it will mark the first Invictus Games she has missed since meeting him. As the topic of a royal reconciliation re-enters the fold, some royal commentators have highlighted the challenges that remain in building bridges, such as a lack of trust. 'The King might attend to show support for the Armed Forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life,' royal author Ingrid Seward told the outlet. 'The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past. This goes for all the working members of the family.' Meanwhile, royal commentator Katie Nicholl said, 'The King absolutely wants a relationship with his youngest son and with his grandchildren.' 'He has an incredible capacity for forgiveness and he wants to be magnanimous in all of this and therefore there's certainly a possibility that the King might consider attending Invictus,' she added. 4 It remains to be seen whether Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet will be coming to the UK for the event. James Whatling / MEGA Harry last month told the BBC that he is willing to move on from the disagreements that have marred the Royal household since he and wife Meghan Markle's departure because he doesn't 'know how much longer' his father, who is battling cancer, has left. 'There's no point in continuing to fight any more,' he said. 'Life is precious. Forgiveness is 100% a possibility because I would like to get my father and brother back.'
