The 60-year-old former professional tennis player has been asked to take part in the successful ITV1 jungle survival reality show many times over the years, but he refused as he dreaded socialising with people in the New South Wales, Australia-based outback for around three weeks.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper, Pat said: "I'm not sure I'm capable of doing the jungle.
"The reality is I'm not a particularly social person. I like my friends but I find a lot of people quite annoying.
"I have had bad bouts of anxiety and depression in my lifetime and I didn't want to be locked in somewhere for a few weeks."
Pat has also refused to take part in the hit BBC One reality show, Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking about the Latin and Ballroom dancing programme, he shared: "Strictly gave up on me. I'm actually really shy."
Pat - who is remembered for winning the Wimbledon men's singles championship in 1987, and climbing the stands to celebrate - declared his appearance on The Masked Singer in 2022 was "just about the most nerve-wracking thing" he has done.
The star - who was unmasked as Bagpipes after performing the Wheatus hit Teenage Dirtbag on Love-themed week four - told host Joel Dommett: "The thing I'm probably most famous for is climbing through the stands. In sporting events, nobody did that before I did it.
But I'm sort of a frustrated rock guitarist. I had a band a little bit, for a little while and I call myself the 'emergency singer'.
I liked the idea that I could just focus on myself. Ironically, it's strange, seeing the crowd is quite nerve-wracking.
"I've played the centre court at Wimbledon but coming on here is just about the most nerve-wracking thing ever.
"But what a great experience, I'm very very lucky."
Pat turned 60 last month, but he only feels his age when he goes for a run or is on a tennis court.
The sporting legend - who retired from professional tennis in 1997 due to injuries - said: "I don't feel like I'm 60, except when I go for a run and my hip plays up, or on a tennis court I think, 'Oh no, this is not much fun.'

"But these things are bound to happen when you've played 40 years of professional sport."

Happy 32nd Birthday Strictly Ballroom!' she wrote. 'It's where his career started,' the 59-year-old previously told Ben O'Shea on The West Live podcast of Luhrmann. 'And same with mine, too. If it wasn't for that movie I probably wouldn't be in television today,' she added. Sonia explained how she landed a speaking role in the film after initially being cast as an extra due to her ballroom dancing background. So they were true to their word.' The Dancing With The Stars host said that when she spoke to Baz and he told her she was 'perfect' for the role of clueless Tina Sparkle. 'And yet I only had six lines in the movie,' Sonia said with a laugh. She explained that Baz replied: 'Think about it, Brad Pitt only had six lines in Thelma and Louise and look what happened to him!' In the comedy, Paul Mercurio stars as Scott Hastings, an Australian ballroom dancer who pairs with beginner-dancer Fran (Tara Morice). The two bond when his maverick style earns him the disdain of his conservative colleagues. Together they set out to win the National Championship dancing title and show the Ballroom Confederation that they're wrong when they say, 'there are no new steps!' Sonia was also a ballroom adviser in the movie and helped teach her fellow cast members how to dance.

Vicky Pattison has been open about her battle with vaping - admitting that she had been trying to quit the habit but 'it all unravelled' after she had a tough week Vicky Pattison, the ex-Geordie Shore star turned podcaster, has candidly shared an update on her struggle with vaping with her fans. I can't remember the specific turning point. Last week... it's always emotions with me. Like, I know I'm doing that... I'm craving relaxation. "In a world where I can't cultivate it naturally because my schedule's a bit unrelenting, I'm doing it synthetically. I think I will give it up at some point, I am really trying." She admitted to a setback in her efforts: "I was about five, six days in, but then it all unravelled. So I'm back vaping. I'm not proud of it, but it's who I am. I am a vapist!" At 37, Vicky isn't alone in her vaping woes; other celebs like Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway and musician Matt Willis have also opened up about their own struggles last year, according to Chronicle Live. For instance, I was recently playing golf with a mate of mine, and he's in recovery, and I was vaping on the golf course, and he was like: 'Does your wife know you do that?'" He shared his response: "I was like, 'No, I only do it when I'm at golf and I do it when I'm with the band, so I don't do it at home or around the family.' So he was like, 'You lie about it.' I was like, 'I don't lie about it, I just don't talk about it.' He was like, 'So you're holding something from people, you're keeping a secret.'" Matt candidly opened up about his vaping habit, confessing that he'd often sneak in puffs both during the day and at peculiar hours of the night. He detailed: "Before I knew it, I was doing three to four a day of these disposable vapes. I was even doing it on stage. I was walking to the back of the stage and vaping, thinking no one could see me." He added: "I'd wake up in the middle of the night and go for a wee and vape in the toilet in my hotel room on my own and then go try and get back to sleep."
