Urgent search for missing man, 24, who could be in Edinburgh as concerns grow

An urgent search has been launched for a missing man with links to Edinburgh.
Adam Busby, 24, was reported missing from the Clackmannanshire area on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He is also known to frequent Glasgow city centre, Dumbarton and Kilsyth areas.
The last confirmed sighting of Adam was in the Maryhill area on Friday, May 16, 2025.

The 24-year-old is described as 6ft 2 in height, medium build with dirty brown hair in a skin fade. He was wearing a black top with blue jeans.
He has a scar on the left side of his face.

A police spokesperson said: "We would ask anyone who has seen him, or knows where he might be to get in touch.
"I would also like to appeal to Adam himself to contact family, friends or our officers. Anyone with information about Adam's whereabouts should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0954 of 10 May 2025."

The individual then proceeds up the road to another car, before repeating the process on several cars on the street. Another prowler then appears in the frame, following closely behind their accomplice. Both individuals appear to be wearing hoods. It appeared that the cars were all locked despite their efforts. Locals took to social media, decrying the alleged behaviour. It is understood the incident was not reported to Police Scotland. A search has been launched for a missing West Lothian woman after she was last spotted outside a supermarket. Officers are appealing to the public to trace 30-year-old Leigh Groves who was last seen leaving Tesco on Blackburn Road, Bathgate, at around 8.40pm on Friday June 20. She headed towards the direction of the Pyramids Business Park. Residents on an Edinburgh street have been claimed Police Scotland officers told them 'to stay inside' after riot police locked down their street. Officers closed off St Leonards Street on Saturday morning, with officers in riot suits seen patrolling the street and talking to an individual in one of the flats above. One passer-by told Edinburgh Live: "Swat team and dogs deployed to the building. Negotiators arriving just now. The rest of the building has been evacuated.
