PM's stark message to 'paltu rams' ahead of Bihar polls: Reduces your significance

India Today30-05-2025

In a strong message to rebels ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned leaders against switching camps just before polls, only to return to the parent party. In a meeting with Bihar BJP leaders, the Prime Minister urged the cadre to publicise the success of Operation Sindoor and empower grassroots workers, sources said."When elections approach, some people leave for other parties and return after the polls. This diminishes your significance in the party," PM Modi told the BJP leaders, sources said.advertisementThe Prime Minister, who is on a visit to Bihar, also urged the leaders to demonstrate patience to get "respect" and "recognition". "Patience is the greatest asset in a party. If you have patience, you will earn respect and recognition," he said.
The upcoming Bihar polls will witness a direct clash between the RJD-Congress-Left combine and the ruling BJP-JD(U) alliance. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has earned the moniker 'Paltu Ram' due to his history of swiftly changing sides, remains a key piece in the BJP's Bihar electoral maths.

The composer's family is also perceived to be aligned with a party attempting to make inroads into the Tamil political stronghold . DCP (central) Indira Mukherjee said, "The Muchipara OC sent a letter on May 14, highlighting Durga Puja safety requirements, given the large crowd it draws. The letter was sent well before the puja theme was announced. Another letter on June 17 reiterated the need for compliance with crowd management protocol. The puja committee president replied on June 18, expressing willingness to cooperate. Efforts to create confusion undermine the spirit of cooperation."
