Florida football gets commitment from 3-star offensive lineman out of IMG Academy
The Florida football program added its third verbal commitment to the 2026 recruiting class with the word from three-star offensive lineman G'Nivre Carr on Sunday.
The 6-foot-4-inch, 336-pound trench warrior out of Ocala, Florida, who attended the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, amassed 35 offers before making his decision, choosing the Gators over the Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs and Colorado Buffaloes. Carr had initially set his commitment date for June 25 — after completing his official visit schedule — but jumped at the opportunity to join the Orange and Blue.
Growing up just south of Gainesville, the rising senior has made plenty of trips up I-75 to see the school and the athletic facilities. This clearly played a role in his commitment to UF.
"Because I'm homegrown, my physical, my character and all the other stuff meet their requirements, and they love me," Carr told Swamp247 prior to his decision. But proximity was not the only important variable in that equation, as offensive line coach Rob Sale and assistant offensive line coach John Decoster put in the work to make him feel welcomed at the program.
"Florida has always made me a big priority," he also offered. "Just calling me every day... making sure I'm good, the fam's good. Calling my mom, my stepdad, all of them. It's just the little things for me."
G'Nivre Carr's recruiting summary
Carr is ranked No. 437 overall and No. 39 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite, while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 470 and 39, respectively.

2027 OL Prospect Ismael Camara Impresses at Texas A&M Football Camp

2027 OL Prospect Ismael Camara Impresses at Texas A&M Football Camp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Texas A&M Aggies are pursuing a top offensive line talent in the Class of 2027 on the recruiting trail, and he's managed to turn some heads with offseason camp performances this summer. Advertisement Ismael Camara, a four-star offensive tackle prospect currently ranked the 10th-best at the position in his class by 247Sports, landed an offer from the Aggies in November 2024 -- just his second Power 4 offer at the time. Now, Camara has 13 different power conference programs pursuing him, and is looking to raise his stock via his performances at different Division 1 camps throughout the offseason. Texas A&M Aggies offensive lineman Trey Zuhn III (60) lines up during the second quarter against the LSU Tigers. The Aggies defeated the Tigers 38-23; at Kyle Lysaker-Imagn Images. Camara, a Gilmer (TX) product, recently popped up at a Texas A&M summer camp, and demonstrated exactly why he's such a highly touted prospect despite his lack of varsity film. He looked right at home with the best talents the Aggies' camp had to offer, easily handling multiple defensive lineman while battling a foot injury -- footage of his performance can be found below. The 6-foot-6, 330-pounder is entering his junior season of prep football but was restricted to the JV roster last season due to his transfer regulations, as the Le Mans, France native moved across seas to pursue his football career. Advertisement 'The conversations in the crowd every Thursday night, everyone was just watching him the whole time, it really fun to be a part of,' Gilmer offensive line coach Weston Griffis told KLTV. The stop in College Station wasn't the only summer camp that Camara has impressed at, as he took home the MVP award among offensive lineman at the 2025 Rivals Dallas Camp in early May. Other Aggie prospects have also been earning opportunities at summer camps, including quarterback Helaman Casuga and EDGE Jordan Carter. Texas A&M Aggies Get Major Update on 2026 Class Ranking After KJ Edwards Commit

Texas A&M Aggies Get Major Update on 2026 Class Ranking After KJ Edwards Commit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Mike Elko and his coaching staff are building something special in College Station. Texas A&M football now has the second-best recruiting class in college football for the Class of 2026 after securing a massive commitment on Tuesday afternoon. Advertisement KJ Edwards, who the 247Sports Composite Ranking lists as the third-best running back and seventh-best player in Texas in the Class of 2026, committed to the Aggies on Tuesday afternoon in a bit of a surprise move. The four-star prospect out of Carthage (Texas) had recently been listed as an eventual commit for rival program Texas, but LSU was also in the mix. As early as Tuesday morning, all three programs were "in the mix" for Edwards with a decision expected in August. Martinez/Austin American-Statesman / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images With Edwards arriving at his choice earlier than expected, his commitment propelled Texas A&M ahead of numerous programs, including SEC rival Georgia, in the 247Sports Class of 2026 Recruiting Rankings. The Aggies now sit second overall, only behind the USC Trojans. Edwards is the 17th player to commit to Texas A&M in the class, but the highest-ranked yet as the 47th overall player among 2026 prospects. Texas A&M's 2026 class includes 15 four-star prospects and 2 three-star prospects so far, including five players ranked amongst the Top 200 nationally -- in addition to Edwards, Toledo Central Catholic (Ohio) prospect Victor Singleton ranks within the Top 60 players nationally. Jordan Carter, Jonathan Hatton Jr. , Aaron Gregory, and Jermaine Kinsler are the other four Top 200 recruits. The Aggies might not be done yet, either -- Elko and his staff have been hard at work trying to land five-star Brandon Arrington, ranked the 10th-best player nationally and No. 1 athlete in the country by 247Sports. Arrington announced recently that his decision will come down to Texas A&M and Oregon, and he will make his choice on June 19 -- one day before his scheduled visit to College Station. Advertisement "It is the people at [Texas] A&M," Arrington told On3. "They all want me and they recruit me hard. From the start, it never changed with A&M. They recruited me the same, they built relationships and how consistent they have been stands out." Following a Notre Dame official visit, Devin Fitzgerald won't make his trip to UNC

It was a very good recruiting weekend for Notre Dame football, one that saw 2026 Arizona wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald having great time during his visit, which also saw a projection for him to land in South Bend. On Tuesday another development in his recruitment happened, as Rivals Adam Gorney posted on social media that the 6-foot, 2-inch and 195-pound prospect has canceled his upcoming visit to North Carolina. Advertisement This has to bode well for Notre Dame, as this was Fitzgerald's final official visit before making his decision on July 5th. The nation's No. 484 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite has previously visited Stanford, Clemson and UCLA, has now completed all of his officials. It very much looks like the Irish hit a home run on his trip, and Notre Dame could very well be adding Fitzgerald to its 2026 recruiting class early next month.
