UNC football flips OL from SEC program
The North Carolina Tar Heels have pulled off a recruiting flip to add to their offensive line for the 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday. IMG Academy product Will Conroy announced on Wednesday that he is officially flipping from Oklahoma to North Carolina. The Tar Heels pick up a big commitment now and a recruiting win over an SEC program. Advertisement Conroy committed to Oklahoma in December of 2024, but the Tar Heels pursued him shortly after. With Bill Belichick taking over as head coach, he made efforts to head to the top high school programs in the country, including IMG which led them to Conroy and their pursit of him. He did visit UNC in March and that trip helped the Tar Heels, eventually leading to a flip. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound offensive lineman is ranked No. 532 nationally, No. 49 interior offensive lineman and the No. 76 player in the state of Florida per the 247Sports composite rankings. He becomes the 21st player to commit to UNC in the 2026 class which is currently ranked 16th on 247Sports. Florida football gets commitment from coveted IMG Academy TE in 2026 recruiting class
Florida football earned its first commitment from a tight end in the 2026 cycle when three-star prospect Kekua Aumua gave his word to the Gators on Monday. The 6-foot-5-inch, 255-pound rising junior originally from Hawaii has been playing high school ball with the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Aumaua had 19 total offers from various schools under his belt — including the North Carolina Tar Heels, Washington Huskies and Cal Golden Bears — before his verbal commitment to the Orange and Blue. The coveted recruit traveled to Chapel Hill for an official visit at the end of May before swinging through Gainesville on June 6 for his second OV of the summer. While his commitment is now official, he still has trips to Berkeley (June 12) and Seattle (June 20) scheduled. Aumua talks about official visit with Florida Aumua's official visit with Florida gave him an opportunity to bring his entire family along, despite having made several trips upstate prior to acclimate to the university. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle "I'm glad I got to get my family up here," he told Swamp247. "It's my dad and my grandma's first time (on campus) and then my sister and my mom have been here a couple times. So (I'm) just glad to get them up here, get them close to the coaches." And on the topic of family, Callaway brought his own family to meet Aumua's, helping to tie together the family atmosphere the program strives to cultivate on campus. "He brought his family, all his family members out," Aumua noted. "Got them close with my parents and started that relationship with them." Napier, Callaway spearhead recruiting efforts The efforts to recruit the coveted tight end were spearheaded by both head coach Billy Napier and tight ends coach Russ Callaway, who have been in hot pursuit of the in-state target for some time. 'The thing that stood out to me is the connection Billy Napier built with us and the connection coach Callaway kept building with us," Aumua told Gators Online. "He started early and didn't slow down. A lot of these colleges show love and then starting slowing down, but coach Callaway was full speed ahead.' As for what the program as a whole has to offer him, there is no shortage of benefits that encouraged him to become a Florida Gator. 'Their strength and conditioning program; their nutrition program is next level; the way they take of their athletes is next level." Potential Polynesian Pipeline? It is worth noting that there could be more than meets the eye in recruiting the native Hawaiian. According to him, the staff is eyeing an opportunity to establish a flow of talent from the Pacific Ocean. "When it comes to where I'll be staying, they told me, 'You're going to have room for your family,' but we're far from here and start that Poly(nesian) pipeline over here," Aumua revealed. Kekua Aumua's Recruiting Summary Aumua is ranked No. 670 overall and No. 35 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 680 and 37, respectively. Former Colorado Defensive Back Lands With SEC Contender
Former Colorado Defensive Back Lands With SEC Contender originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Ole Miss added transfer defensive back Isreal Solomon this week. The former Colorado Buffaloes player made his way to Oxford after one year at Hawaii. He announced the move on social media Sunday. The 6-foot, 180-pounder will now be headed to the third stop in his college career. He joined Colorado as a preferred walk-on and wanted to learn in the secondary under Deion Sanders and his staff. After a year in Boulder, Solomon had a change of heart and wanted more playing time. His time at Hawaii was brief with Ole Miss pulling in one of the most underrated talents. Advertisement Solomon was a 'monster' on film and showed out time and time again. He was reportedly one of the only players to jam up No. 2 overall 2025 NFL Draft pick Travis Hunter in practice, giving a consistent challenge for the deep set of receivers. He nearly had a pick in CU's Black and Gold Spring Game before entering the portal. The Dallas, Texas native spent his 2023 season at IMG Academy and finished with 45 tackles, four interceptions, five pass breakups and 2.5 sacks. He was named Player of the Week six times during his senior season. Solomon made his way to Florida as the only recruit to play in both the Trinity League (CA), along with high-level Division I feeder IMG. Solomon transferred to IMG as a senior from Santa Margarita Catholic HS in Southern California. He tore his labrum in the first game of the 2021 season but staged a massive comeback. Both times sparked interest from several schools with Ole Miss being able to win him over. Being in the SEC was top on Solomon's list since leaving Coach Prime and the Buffs. Solomon will have all four years of eligibility at Ole Miss. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 3, 2025, where it first appeared.

Florida football gets commitment from 3-star offensive lineman out of IMG Academy
Florida football gets commitment from 3-star offensive lineman out of IMG Academy The Florida football program added its third verbal commitment to the 2026 recruiting class with the word from three-star offensive lineman G'Nivre Carr on Sunday. The 6-foot-4-inch, 336-pound trench warrior out of Ocala, Florida, who attended the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, amassed 35 offers before making his decision, choosing the Gators over the Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs and Colorado Buffaloes. Carr had initially set his commitment date for June 25 — after completing his official visit schedule — but jumped at the opportunity to join the Orange and Blue. Growing up just south of Gainesville, the rising senior has made plenty of trips up I-75 to see the school and the athletic facilities. This clearly played a role in his commitment to UF. "Because I'm homegrown, my physical, my character and all the other stuff meet their requirements, and they love me," Carr told Swamp247 prior to his decision. But proximity was not the only important variable in that equation, as offensive line coach Rob Sale and assistant offensive line coach John Decoster put in the work to make him feel welcomed at the program. "Florida has always made me a big priority," he also offered. "Just calling me every day... making sure I'm good, the fam's good. Calling my mom, my stepdad, all of them. It's just the little things for me." G'Nivre Carr's recruiting summary Carr is ranked No. 437 overall and No. 39 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite, while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 470 and 39, respectively.
