On3 Sports ranked Thomalla 10th at the competition, which took place in Los Angeles, California.

DeBoer finished his first season in Tuscaloosa at 9-4, taking Alabama to the ReliaQuest Bowl. The Crimson Tide ended the year with a 19-13 loss to the Michigan Wolverines.

Thomalla is a four-star recruit and the No. 13 quarterback in the On3 Industry Rankings. He was committed to the Iowa State Cyclones since April, but flipped to Alabama on Tuesday.
He joins a recruiting class for Alabama that features five-star corner Jorden Edmonds, four-star corner Zyan Gibson, four-star edge rusher Jamarion Matthews, four-star inside offensive lineman Chris Booker, four-star inside offensive lineman Samuelu Utu and four-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson.

Before Thomalla announced his commitment, Utu was the latest Alabama pledge. DeBoer used his West Coast influence to land the prospect from Orange, California.
DeBoer was the head coach for the Washington Huskies from 2022-23 before replacing Nick Saban. Another recent recruiting update for Alabama involves four-star offensive tackle Deacon Schmitt. The recruit plans to announce his commitment on June 28.
The second year of the DeBoer era at Alabama opens with the Florida State Seminoles on August 30.

Minjee Lee wins the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for her 3rd major title

FRISCO, Texas — Minjee Lee closed with a 2-over 74 but never gave up the lead Sunday in the final round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship to win her third major title. While Lee had three bogeys in a four-hole stretch on the front nine, she had started the day with a four-stroke lead over Jeeno Thitikul. And the world's No. 2-ranked player, also in that final group, bogeyed both par 5s that are among the first three holes on Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.

LSU sweeps Coastal Carolina in CWS finals for its 2nd national title in 3 years and 8th overall

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — LSU knocked previously unbeaten Coastal Carolina ace Jacob Morrison out of the game with a four-run fourth inning and the Tigers won their second national championship in three years Sunday with a 5-3 victory in the College World Series finals. The Tigers (53-15) completed a two-game sweep of the Chanticleers (56-13), who entered the finals on a 26-game win streak and on Sunday saw coach Kevin Schnall and first base coach Matt Schilling ejected in the bottom of the first inning. LSU gave the Southeastern Conference its sixth straight national title in baseball and 11th in 16 years. It was LSU's eighth, all since 1991 and second most all-time behind Southern California's 12. Coastal Carolina won the national title in 2016 and was trying to become the first team since 1962 (Michigan) and the fifth all-time to win the championship in its first two CWS appearances. ___ AP college sports:
