Lili Myers, the wife of late Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers, has recalled the details of an unexpected conversation they shared in his final days.
Myers, who was one part of the TV star duo with Si King, died of cancer aged 66 last year after being diagnosed in 2022.
Together, Myers and King made countless BBC shows that merged their love of cooking and motorbikes. Myers met Lili in the Romanian hotel Casa Lurca in 2005, when the Hairy Bikers were in the country to film their debut series, The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook.
Speaking to The Times, Lili revealed Myers spent the days leading up to his death sedated and unresponsive.
She assured him that if he needed to go, she would be alright, to which he surprisingly responded: 'I'm not going anywhere.'
Lili continued: 'At the back of his mind, there was always something cooking, always the next project. So I take it like that, 'I'm not going anywhere.'
'But do you know something? It will sound weird, but I feel him everywhere. He's not gone. There are little things happening in the house; things come and go and disappear and reappear.'

She said that Myers, who was known for his zealous personality, was a grown-up 'with the spirit of a five-year-old'.
Recalling their first meeting, she said that he began to call her for 30 seconds or a minute at a time.
They later became pen pals, with Myers sending 'funny, funny emails, describing the world through his eyes'.
'It was a beautiful thing. Gentle,' she said. 'Nothing was pushed, nothing was forced.'
After many long-distance phone calls – from India, Myers once ran up a £1,600 phone bill – Lili moved to Myers' home in Barrow-in-Furness and they married in 2011. The couple had no children but Lili had a son and a daughter from her previous marriage.
Myers received his cancer diagnosis while he and Lili were driving through Normandy to their second home in the Pays de la Loire region in 2022. He underwent chemotherapy and less aggressive treatments, but by 2023 the treatments were no longer working.

'How lucky am I to have experienced 20 years with him? ' Lili said. 'To have had the impact that he had on my life. He taught me a lot of things. I learnt how to live.'
Of their unlikely romance, she added: 'People are waiting for the right one to arrive in their lives so they can be happy. No. There's no right one.
'You make it right for yourself first, that you're the right one, and then you can match and make things work with the other one, your pair.'

Russell Crowe reunites with Superman son Henry Cavill for reboot of another beloved action franchise
Russell Crowe is reuniting onscreen with Henry Cavill, more than a decade after they acted with each other in the Superman film Man of Steel. The 2013 superhero movie starred Henry in the lead role and Russell as his biological father Jor-El, who saves his son's life just before losing his own. Now, fans will be able to see them back onscreen in a remake of the 1986 action fantasy picture Highlander, which launched a franchise of the same name. In the original Highlander, Christopher Lambert played Connor MacLeod, a 16th century Scottish warrior who discovers he is immortal unless his head is severed. He gets initiated into the secret world of immortals by the virtuoso swordsman Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, memorably portrayed by Sean Connery. A reboot starring Henry as MacLeod was announced in 2021, and now, after years of development, Russell has been cast as Ramírez, according to Variety. The original Highlander emerged as a roaring success in 1986, leading to the 1991 sequel Highlander II: The Quickening, which flopped disastrously. However the series staggered on for the 1994 release Highlander III: The Sorcerer, a direct follow-up of the first film as if the events of the second never happened. There was also a TV series from 1992 to 1998, followed by the 2000 film Highlander: Endgame, which was a sequel to the show rather than to the previous movies. In 2021 it emerged that the original movie was being remade with Henry in the lead, back when he was still starring as Geralt of Riva on the Netflix medieval fantasy series The Witcher, before his departure and replacement by Liam Hemsworth. The new film will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who helmed all the John Wick movies, and will have a script by Michael Finch, who co- wrote the fourth John Wick picture. Russell first met Henry long before they ever worked together, back when the latter was a teenager at boarding school in the English countryside. The encounter took place when Russell was filming his 2000 drama Proof of Life, starring him and Meg Ryan, at the Stowe School - where Henry was a student along with Russell's onscreen son Merlin Hanbury-Tenison. Russell recalled that 'during a break in the shooting,' he caught sight of a rugby union game and noticed 'one kid on that field who was very fluid and in control.' The teenager 'came over to have a chat, but all his questions were about acting, and there was just this smile in his eyes but there was something dead serious behind that smile,' Russell said on The Graham Norton Show in 2013. 'So instead of not answering the questions or whatever - 'cause you get asked these questions a hundred thousand times - I told him the truth in the brief moment that I had with him, and put it in front of him that it's a challenge that's up to him. Nobody's gonna give it to you,' Russell remembered. 'A couple of days later, I was putting a package together for the kid who'd played my son, because I figured the greatest thing if you're at boarding school must be unexpected mail, and I thought: "I'll put one together for that other bloke," and I'd remembered his name because he'd been very clear when he said it,' he shared. His note to Henry was the saying: 'A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,' which Russell interpreted as meaning: 'If you want it, you go and get it.'

Olivia Bowen shows off her growing baby bump as she shares candid insight into final weeks of her pregnancy - ahead of welcoming daughter with husband Alex
Pregnant Olivia Bowen showed off her blossoming bump on Friday, just weeks ahead of welcoming her baby daughter. The Love Island star, 31, already shares son Abel, two, with husband Alex who she famously met in the ITV2 villa, took to her Instagram with a radiant selfie. Olivia displayed her bump in a casual bralette and joggers as she shared candid insight into her final weeks of pregnancy. She captioned the snap: 'She's so high now right up in my lungs'. Last month Olivia posted a sweet clip from her family of three as they enjoyed their last holiday before the birth. It looked like a truly relaxing trip, with the trio appearing to be spending the majority of their time at the beach. Oivia wrote: 'Another trip to Spain - the last one before baby girl comes, and next we'll return as a family of four to our own villa out here - never felt so lucky.' The stunner wore a colourful bikini for the beach trip, accessorising with a pair of dark sunglasses while her husband and son wore beige swimming trunks. In another snap with Alex, Olivia showed off more of her extensive summer wear collection, this time wearing a blue bralet that comfortably sat above her growing bump. The star kept it cool on the trip too, covering up with a black and white mesh sundress as she cuddled Alex and Abel on a lounger. Olivia announced that she was expecting in February of this year and has been keeping fans updated with her pregnancy. Sadly, it has not been smooth sailing for the family as Olivia was expecting twins, but sadly lost one of her babies eight weeks into her pregnancy. She made the revelation on Loose Women, where she recounted their tragic experience of vanishing twin syndrome. The couple were told they were having twins just before Christmas, when they attended an early six week scan. Olivia told the panel: 'We went super early, I'm quite an anxious person anyway. When we turned up, we had our friend in the back of the car because we thought everything would be normal. 'As soon as we sat down I saw two babies and not one, I was floored by that. I have twins in my family and as soon as we found out I was already nervous as we've not had a great history of twins in our family.' The Love Island star broke down in tears as she revealed: 'One of the babies just basically didn't have a heartbeat but I'd had no symptoms, no pain, no bleeding to tell me that was what we were walking into. We were floored, we were expecting to have these two little babies.' The star had experienced vanishing twin syndrome, which occurs when one twin passes away in the womb and 'vanishes' and studies suggest happens in roughly 36% of twin pregnancies. Olivia heartbreakingly revealed that 'the one beautiful part of it' is that the babies do 'absorb back into your body' and that's what the couple have been 'holding onto'. The reality star continued: 'The baby had completely absorbed into my body at 14 weeks, just completely gone which is tremendously sad knowing they're still in there. 'I am so lucky to have experienced that moment of possibly having twins, it's something that not everyone gets to feel so even having those two little babies at that time.' Alex then emotionally chimed in with: 'I built this scenario up in my mind, I was thinking of the future. 'I thought it was 100% happening and I had come to terms with it. I never really had a big family, I'm an only child and have no contact with my dad so it was an amazing thing for me.'

How to pull off summer's no make-up look
No make-up make-up is the ultimate beauty oxymoron. Don't expect it to involve fewer products or any less money, but it will most definitely leave you looking your best without seeming overly made-up. In other words, it is perfect for long summer days and lazy holidays. Here's what really works. Stila All About The Blur StickNow this is a little stick of magic that goes on clear, mattifies and gives a soft-focus finish but without pigment. Use on shiny T-zones on warmer days and watch pores, unwanted shine and sweat disappear. £28.50; Merit The Uniform Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF50This tinted sunscreen has taken the beauty cognoscenti by storm this summer. Why? Because it truly works on all skin shades and gives a flattering finish, especially on sensitive and oilier skin. It's not a primary SPF but ideal for an added layer of sun protection. It looks great on the go, comes in 15 shades and is a multifunction summertime saver. £34; Erborian CC CrèmeSeeing is believing with this little beauty from the wildly popular Korean brand. It goes on looking like a moisturiser yet turns to a lightly pigmented, Instagram-esque 'Paris filter' for your face. Just recently it has been reduced in price. It comes in four shades but more are promised later this year. I tested this on This Morning and every male presenter wanted to take one home. Your skin on its best day in a tube. £38; • Caroline Hirons: Britain's most powerful beauty expert House of Hur Moist Ampoule BlusherThis is the serum soft-tint liquid blusher that took TikTok by storm as the much more reasonably priced alternative to Armani. It comes in three shades and is gorgeous: super-flattering and sheer, it blends Korean hydrating skincare with a hint of a tint. £15; Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek StainThis lip balm goes on sheer but reacts to the pH of your lips to create a flattering, slightly intensified version of your lip colour. What's more, it acts as a lipcare balm at the same time to stave off the threat of dry, parched lips. £35, in four shades; Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh TintChanel has trouble keeping this in stock the minute the sun shines because it is such a cult product. It adds a hint of a tint, a hit of hydration and a healthy glow. Add concealer for more coverage, but this is the type of base you can wear on the beach and not look as if you're wearing a scrap of make-up (just great skin). £55, in eight shades; 19/99 Lash Tint MascaraNow this is clever: a mascara that is so subtle it can be worn in your brows too. It looks more like a lash tint as it adds colour but no volume or length, for a really natural and pretty look. It's tubing too, so no telltale smudges on hot and sweaty days. Better yet, it will rinse away with just warm water when you want. This is a brilliant Canadian brand that specialises in multipurpose products that are affordable too. £14, in three shades; • Read more beauty product reviews and advice from our experts Wonderskin FYP Translucent PowderI don't care how natural you look, you never want to be sweaty or shiny, and this totally translucent powder will work over even the most subtle base and on any skin tone. I discovered this when chatting to the make-up legend Val Garland, who keeps it in her SOS kit on set both for her own face when filming Glow Up and for models on cover shoots. £18; Glossier Shadow Stick Sometimes you need just a touch of shadow to define the eye in the lash line and in the crease of both eyes. This comes in five shades with music-themed names: try Riff for contouring – it's the ideal neutral shade that creates shadow and definition, blends easily, stays in place and doesn't really look like eyeshadow. £22; Find @nadinebaggott on Instagram and YouTube where she answers all your beauty questions
