Hisense will give you a free 40in QLED TV – here's how it works

Stuff.tv12-06-2025

Hisense is giving away a free TV. No, seriously. A new top TV can easily run you into four figures, especially if you're set on getting one with a QLED panel. That means any opportunity to save some cash on one isn't to be missed. So this gigantic saving on a top-rated smart TV with Freely built-in is definitely worth your attention.
Right now, if you buy one of Hisense's latest TVs, Laser Cinemas, or even American-style fridge freezers, you'll get a free 40in QLED Smart TV thrown in. To get your freebie, buy a qualifying product between 4 June and 15 July from a participating UK retailer, like Amazon, Currys, and plenty more. Then, submit your claim to Hisense online from 15 August to 11 September. Hisense will then deliver your shiny new telly within 45 days.
The telly in question comes with Quantum Dot Colour, Dolby Atmos, and Freely built-in. That gives you access to over 60 live and on-demand channels without handing over a single penny in subscription fees. It's the perfect sidekick screen for the bedroom, kitchen, or, let's be honest, your backup gaming nook.
The eligible line-up is pretty flexible. It includes the flagship U7Q Pro and E7Q Pro TVs to Hisense's ultra-bright Laser Cinema projectors. Even its American-style fridge freezers are in on the deal. This offer's open to mainland UK residents only, and you'll find the full list of qualifying products on Hisense's promotions page.
You've got until 15 July to make your move – and that free 40in QLED won't claim itself.

These headphones might offer the best noise cancellation on a budget

If you've been looking for a new set of top wireless headphones lately, you'll know that finding decent noise cancellation on affordable cans usually means compromising somewhere. There's nothing more soul-sapping than tinny audio wrapped in plasticky disappointment, with no ANC on offer. But Final's new UX3000 SV are a pair of wireless cans that, on paper at least, seem to be flipping the script on what affordable noise-cancelling headphones can actually achieve. The Japanese audio firm made waves back in 2022 with the original UX3000. That model offered solid sound and a travel-friendly foldable frame. Now, the UX3000 SV promises even more clarity, enhanced ANC, and a vocal-forward tuning. Final seemingly refuses to let noise cancellation trample over sound quality. Most ANC headphones in this bracket love to kill noise but also flatten the music while they're at it. The UX3000 SV, however, use a hybrid ANC set-up. That means microphones inside and outside the earcups to cancel out nonsense while keeping your music rich and lively. It should help to avoid that cheap muffling effect some budget cans have and lifeless audio. Curiously, there's also a Noise-Cancellation-Only mode. Flip that on and these headphones can block out the world around you without turning on the tunes. It's the kind of feature I didn't know I wanted, but can easily imagine using it on a long-haul flight with a screaming baby three rows back to get some sleep. Final's also put its house-made 40mm dynamic drivers front and centre. They sit inside an acoustic chamber tuned specifically for vocal reproduction. So these cans should be just as good at playing your favourite podcasts as they are at playing your favourite tunes. Bluetooth 5.0, aptX and aptX HD codec support, multipoint pairing are all present and accounted for. Battery life is another tick in the win column. Final promises a decent 35 hours with ANC off, 25 with it on, and only 2.5 hours for a full charge. Not bad for headphones clearly gunning for both daily commuters and long-weekend travellers. These cans fold down to fit in your bag, resist fingerprints, and come in a minimalist silver finish that looks far more premium than the price suggests. The Final UX3000 SV wireless headphones are available to pre-order now from Amazon and other retailers. You'll get them from 30 June onwards. They'll set you back $150/£129/€139. If it delivers even half of what it promises, this could be one of the best noise-cancelling bargains out there.

This $250 saving on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is my favourite early Prime Day deal

While the top smartphones of the year have been impressive, Samsung's ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge might have topped them out. In our four star review, we declared that 'thin is most definitely in' but were slightly disappointed about the battery life. If you're looking to get in on the slim action, there's never been a better time. That's because right now, Amazon is offering $250 off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge ahead of its Prime Day sales event. That discount brings the 512GB model down from its regular price of $1220 to $970 – which makes the phone much more compelling. In fact, it's actually cheaper than the lower 256GB model! Better yet, you don't even need to be a Prime member to score this saving, since it's available for everyone. Unfortunately, those in the UK miss out on the savings, as there's currently no offer on Amazon UK. The S25 Edge is a combination of the features of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra – but it's super thin. It clocks in at 5.8mm thin, which makes it one of the slimmest phones you can currently buy. It's a fairly impressive 1.4mm thinner than the standard Galaxy S25 and 1.5mm thinner than the S25+. Samsung used a titanium frame, so the handset is strong but also very light at 163g. There is a risk for a 'bendgate' style story to appear, but it's less likely thanks to titanium. It remains IP68 rated, which is quite a feat. On the front, it has a very standard 6.7in display which is capable of 2600 nits of peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 has just been announced with increased durability and makes its debut on the Galaxy S25 Edge. As with the other phones in the S25 series, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. In addition to 256 or 512GB of storage, there's 12GB of RAM and it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. This phone doesn't have the camera capabilities of the S25 Ultra, not least because there's not enough room to fit the triple cam hardware in. Instead, you get a dual lens setup, with a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide. But, the battery has a capacity of 3900mAh. There's no getting away from the fact that form has been prioritied over function here. Samsung claims the phone will cope with 24 hours of video playback, but there's no denying that battery life is the biggest drawback of the Galaxy S25 Edge. This device is perfect for someone who's not price-sensitive (obviously), or who doesn't want a larger and heavier S25 Ultra that weighs 60g or so more.

5 reasons to buy the new Trump Mobile phone

There's going to be a Trump phone. Of course there is. I'd have written about this sooner, but I was stunned into silence for a full day by the news. Because even accounting for *waves hands around* everything, this new device is mind-boggling. And not in a good way. Trump offspring 'three from five' said Trump Mobile will 'revolutionise cell phones'. So far that amounts to a bad Photoshop job and year-old Android specs. Then there's the name: T1 Phone 8002, which makes me wonder whether the Trump family angrily tore up 8001 previous concepts for not being gold enough. It's also unclear whether the phone will ever exist in reality. But if it does, millions of idiots will buy one. Are you one of them? Find out by checking out these five reasons you might buy a T1 Phone 8002 Trump Mobile phone. 1. It's made in the USA* Note the asterisk. If we did footnotes, the above would link to one saying 'Ahahahahahahaha. No.' I did, however, wonder if Trump might at least finish units in the US, a bit like a Subway of phones. Instead of slapping salad on bread, someone would spend their day spray-painting imported phones gold and installing Trump-flavoured Android. But no. Eric Trump admitted they'll only 'eventually' be made in the US. So while we'll see claims this phone could only be more American if it came with a bald eagle attached and belted out the Star-Spangled Banner 24/7, it's actually from China. But who cares about facts these days? So just ignore this section (apart from the title) and move on! 2. You like surprises The Trump Mobile website lists specs like screen size (6.8in) and main camera (50MP) but skips over the processor, waterproofing, and a bunch of other things. It is clearly a rebadged Android, but which one? Just think: you could have months of excitement after placing your preorder, not knowing precisely what you'll receive! (That is, if you receive anything.) 'Buy a Trump phone or I will tear your face off.' (Eagle by Pixabay.) 3. You rock it, old-school Trump fans love the past and hate the present. The Trump phone leans into that with its 3.5mm headphone jack, which… argh. OK, this one's hard to mock. It lets you use cheap headphones that don't need charging. It's good for the planet. Which I've calculated technically makes the Trump Phone 17.3% woke. Alas, once this news makes it back to the White House, those ports might all get filled with anti-woke glue. Sorry. 4. You don't care about privacy The privacy policy for the phone is more or less 'we're watching'. Not unusual these days, but I'd personally trust a Trump phone as far as I can throw Donald Trump. Which isn't far. You might not care. You might want to send all your thoughts Trump's way. In fact, you might want the phone to go further, preinstalling Trump's latest crypto wheeze or redirecting all web traffic to 'patriotic' sites like Fox News and Truth Social. If so, this blower's your jam. Assuming it exists. 5. You really hate Apple. And Samsung. And possibly yourself. This device lets you stick it to the man. As long as that man isn't Donald Trump. He's threatened to impose tariffs on Apple and Samsung, but will surely skip them on a gold-plated Trump phone. Conflict of interest? Absolutely not. This is patriotism. Although it's patriotism at arm's length, because this is a licensing deal. If it all goes horribly wrong, the Trumps will shrug, absolve themselves of responsibility, and blame Obama. Which you might be totally on board for. So: still keen to own the phone equivalent of a Cybertruck, only in gold? Put $100 down today and you'll get your phone in September. Possibly. Oh, and no refunds. Now read (unless you've preordered a Trump phone): Best mid-range phones to buy reviewed and ranked
