This $250 saving on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is my favourite early Prime Day deal
While the top smartphones of the year have been impressive, Samsung's ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge might have topped them out. In our four star review, we declared that 'thin is most definitely in' but were slightly disappointed about the battery life. If you're looking to get in on the slim action, there's never been a better time.
That's because right now, Amazon is offering $250 off the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge ahead of its Prime Day sales event. That discount brings the 512GB model down from its regular price of $1220 to $970 – which makes the phone much more compelling. In fact, it's actually cheaper than the lower 256GB model! Better yet, you don't even need to be a Prime member to score this saving, since it's available for everyone. Unfortunately, those in the UK miss out on the savings, as there's currently no offer on Amazon UK.
The S25 Edge is a combination of the features of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra – but it's super thin. It clocks in at 5.8mm thin, which makes it one of the slimmest phones you can currently buy. It's a fairly impressive 1.4mm thinner than the standard Galaxy S25 and 1.5mm thinner than the S25+. Samsung used a titanium frame, so the handset is strong but also very light at 163g. There is a risk for a 'bendgate' style story to appear, but it's less likely thanks to titanium. It remains IP68 rated, which is quite a feat.
On the front, it has a very standard 6.7in display which is capable of 2600 nits of peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 has just been announced with increased durability and makes its debut on the Galaxy S25 Edge. As with the other phones in the S25 series, the phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. In addition to 256 or 512GB of storage, there's 12GB of RAM and it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. This phone doesn't have the camera capabilities of the S25 Ultra, not least because there's not enough room to fit the triple cam hardware in. Instead, you get a dual lens setup, with a 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide.
But, the battery has a capacity of 3900mAh. There's no getting away from the fact that form has been prioritied over function here. Samsung claims the phone will cope with 24 hours of video playback, but there's no denying that battery life is the biggest drawback of the Galaxy S25 Edge. This device is perfect for someone who's not price-sensitive (obviously), or who doesn't want a larger and heavier S25 Ultra that weighs 60g or so more.

These headphones might offer the best noise cancellation on a budget
If you've been looking for a new set of top wireless headphones lately, you'll know that finding decent noise cancellation on affordable cans usually means compromising somewhere. There's nothing more soul-sapping than tinny audio wrapped in plasticky disappointment, with no ANC on offer. But Final's new UX3000 SV are a pair of wireless cans that, on paper at least, seem to be flipping the script on what affordable noise-cancelling headphones can actually achieve. The Japanese audio firm made waves back in 2022 with the original UX3000. That model offered solid sound and a travel-friendly foldable frame. Now, the UX3000 SV promises even more clarity, enhanced ANC, and a vocal-forward tuning. Final seemingly refuses to let noise cancellation trample over sound quality. Most ANC headphones in this bracket love to kill noise but also flatten the music while they're at it. The UX3000 SV, however, use a hybrid ANC set-up. That means microphones inside and outside the earcups to cancel out nonsense while keeping your music rich and lively. It should help to avoid that cheap muffling effect some budget cans have and lifeless audio. Curiously, there's also a Noise-Cancellation-Only mode. Flip that on and these headphones can block out the world around you without turning on the tunes. It's the kind of feature I didn't know I wanted, but can easily imagine using it on a long-haul flight with a screaming baby three rows back to get some sleep. Final's also put its house-made 40mm dynamic drivers front and centre. They sit inside an acoustic chamber tuned specifically for vocal reproduction. So these cans should be just as good at playing your favourite podcasts as they are at playing your favourite tunes. Bluetooth 5.0, aptX and aptX HD codec support, multipoint pairing are all present and accounted for. Battery life is another tick in the win column. Final promises a decent 35 hours with ANC off, 25 with it on, and only 2.5 hours for a full charge. Not bad for headphones clearly gunning for both daily commuters and long-weekend travellers. These cans fold down to fit in your bag, resist fingerprints, and come in a minimalist silver finish that looks far more premium than the price suggests. The Final UX3000 SV wireless headphones are available to pre-order now from Amazon and other retailers. You'll get them from 30 June onwards. They'll set you back $150/£129/€139. If it delivers even half of what it promises, this could be one of the best noise-cancelling bargains out there.

Soundcore P41i earbuds will stop your phone dying when you least want it to
Phones such as Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge might be slimming down at the expense of battery life, but the new Soundcore P41i earbuds are heading in the opposite direction. The chunky case that the Soundcore P41i buds come in might put a bit of a bulge in your pocket, but with a 3000mAh battery inside it can either keep the IPX5-rated buds going for a whopping 192 hours (that's up to eight whole days of constant listening), or you can use the built-in USB-C cable to top up your phone. It's not the first set of buds we've seen to double as a portable charger – HMD's Amped Buds do the same trick and also support reverse wireless charging – but the Soundcore P41i's case has almost twice as much power available. It also doubles as a stand for your phone when the lid's open. It's not the fastest – a 30% charge of an iPhone 16 Pro will take about 40 minutes – but for a little top-up to keep your phone on until you get home it'll do the job. In terms of audio performance you get 11mm drivers with Soundcore's bottom end-boosting BassUp technology and adaptive ANC. Multipoint Bluetooth and Google's Fast Pair are also supported. The Soundcore P41i are available to buy now for £90. You can choose between black or white.

Samsung is launching an Ultra folding phone – and it could be arriving very soon
If you've been waiting for Samsung to release its next bendy phones, your wait might be over sooner than you think. This year, we're expecting an Ultra folding model for the first time, alongside regular refreshes in the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip line-up. A report from reliable leaker Evleaks points to 9 July as the date for the next Galaxy Unpacked launch. That's the event where we're expecting Samsung to show off the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Given last year's foldables got their debut on 10 July, this leak doesn't feel like much of a stretch. Apparently, things are due to kick off at 10am ET/3pm BST. This leak doesn't come with any new specs, sadly, but that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from grinding away. Word is the new foldables will have upgraded cameras and some new AI software features. Samsung has also already confirmed the new devices will launch with One UI 8. Then there's the so-called Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, which Samsung seems to be increasingly hinting at. Recent official announcements promise 'industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance and seamless AI integration optimised for the foldable format'. Whatever that means. The next Galaxy Unpacked: 9 July 2025 @ 10AM EDT — Evan Blass (@evleaks) June 18, 2025 While we're yet to get official confirmation on the names, I'd put money on them being called the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, because of course they are. We may also finally get eyes on Samsung's long-rumoured tri-fold foldable, supposedly dubbed the Galaxy G Fold. It's been teased and rumoured for a while now, and this could finally be the year it trots onto the stage. And let's not forget the wrists. The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic are also expected to make an appearance, which will be the perfect companion to the latest Galaxy smartphones. Although, the Watch Ultra 2 might be keeping a low profile until 2026. If the launch does happen on 9 July, then I expect pre-orders to go live later that day. Based on past launches, pricing is likely to sit in high-end flagship territory – we're talking north of $1700/£1749 for the Fold 7, and closer to $999/£1049 for the Flip 7.
