The Funeral Portrait Nabs Second Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1 With ‘Holy Water'

Yahoo07-06-2025

The Funeral Portrait goes 2-for-2 atop Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, lifting to No. 1 on the June 14-dated survey with 'Holy Water.'
The track, which features Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody, is the band's second Mainstream Rock Airplay ruler in as many entries, following the one-week reign of 'Suffocate City,' featuring Ice Nine Kills' Spencer Charnas, last November.

This time around, The Funeral Portrait's trip to No. 1 is one week quicker; 'Holy Water' rules in its 18th frame on the chart.
Moody reaches No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay as a solo act for the first time, having exceeded his No. 10 peak as a featured vocalist on Cory Marks' 'Outlaws & Outsiders,' alongside Travis Tritt and Mick Mars, in 2020. Five Finger Death Punch, with him as frontman, boasts 15 leaders, third-most dating to the ranking's March 1981 inception.
Concurrently, 'Holy Water' places at No. 11 on the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with 2.5 million audience impressions, up 8%, in the week ending June 5, according to Luminate. The song reached a No. 8 high a week earlier and marks The Funeral Portrait's first top 10 on the tally, having passed the No. 11 best of 'Suffocate City.'
'Holy Water' is the second single from The Funeral Portrait's 2024 album Greetings From Suffocate City. Released in September, the set has earned 25,000 equivalent album units to date. The collection is the second full-length from the group, which formed in Atlanta more than a decade ago.
All Billboard charts dated June 14 will update Tuesday, June 10.

Rosé Matches BTS As Her Single Remains A Bestseller

Rosé's 'Apt.' ties BTS's 'Dynamite' as the longest-running K-pop hit on the Digital Song Sales ... More chart, as the tune earns its thirty-fourth week on the Billboard tally. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - DECEMBER 07: Rosé, aka Roseanne Park MBE, is seen in Midtown on December 07, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by TheStewartofNY/GC Images) Rosé's single 'Apt.' is the rare song from a K-pop artist that not only earns a lofty debut on the Billboard charts in America, but also manages to stick around. The track has maintained its impressive performance across all relevant consumption metrics in the United States for months, continuing to rank as a top streamer, radio favorite, and bestselling cut. At this point, the tune has been making history and breaking records thanks to its longevity, and this frame is no different, as it remains one of the top-selling titles in America yet again. Rosé's 'Apt.' Remains a Bestseller Rosé's collaboration with Bruno Mars is still present on the Digital Song Sales chart, dropping from No. 17 to No. 20. This latest turn marks the thirty-fourth week for 'Apt.' on Billboard's ranking of the bestselling individual tracks of any style or language in the U.S. on platforms like iTunes. As it turns out, that's a very special number for Rosé. Rosé Ties BTS for a Longevity Record 'Apt.' is now tied with 'Dynamite' by BTS as the longest-running tune by any K-pop artist in the history of the Digital Song Sales chart. Both cuts have lived on the list for 34 frames. Whether 'Apt.' can manage just one more stay is yet to be seen. The sales tally only features 25 spots, and 'Apt.' is close to falling off the roster. In the past tracking period, Luminate reports that the global smash sold 1,900 copies, a number which is down from the frame before. Depending on the competition it faces and how fans of Rosé and Mars show up, the Blackpink singer could soon break her tie with BTS. Or, there's a chance the two will remain tied. Rosé Also Beats BTS Star Jimin 'Apt.' has lived on many Billboard charts for more than 30 weeks, and it's still going. The tune breaks Rosé's tie with 'Who' by Jimin, and 'Apt.' now stands as the longest-charting track by any K-pop act in Hot 100 history with a thirty-fourth stay on that tally this time around. The cut is also still present on the Streaming Songs and Radio Songs charts, as well as a handful of pop radio rankings.

Forrest Frank Rules Top Gabb Music Songs Chart for Second Month, Charts 5 Songs in All

Forrest Frank's 'Your Way's Better' stalled the three-month reign of Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 'Die With a Smile' on the monthly Top Gabb Music Songs chart when it reached No. 1 on the April 2025 tally, and now he's joined Gaga and Mars as the only other act with a multi-month No. 1, reigning again on the May 2025 survey. Billboard has partnered with Gabb Wireless, a phone company for kids and teens, to present a monthly chart tracking on-demand streams via its Gabb Music platform. Gabb Music offers a vast catalog of songs, all of which are selected by the Gabb team to include only kid- and teen-appropriate content. Gabb Music streams are not currently factored into any other Billboard charts. The song has topped the Hot Christian Songs chart for the last five weeks (dating to May 24) and has reached a best so far of No. 61 on the all-format Billboard Hot 100. It ranks at No. 68 on the latest list. 'Your Way's Better' is one of a whopping five Frank songs on the May 2025 Top Gabb Music Songs chart, thanks to a pair of debuts joining the three songs he already boasted on the ranking. 'No L's' and 'B.I.G.' debut at Nos. 14 and 19, respectively, while 'Drop!' reaches a new peak of No. 13 and 'Up!,' a collaboration with Connor Price, remains at its No. 25 best. Frank's five songs on the ranking equals the record set by Imagine Dragons on the inaugural Top Gabb Music Songs list for October 2024 — though notably, while Frank has the No. 1 song, Imagine Dragons' best that month was No. 16, with 'Bones.' Other moves on the latest chart include a three-spot leap for Alex Warren's 'Ordinary,' which reaches a new peak of No. 3 after its No. 6 debut on the April tally. 'Ordinary' has spent two weeks so far at No. 1 on the Hot 100, beginning with the June 7 survey. The only non-Frank debut of the week belongs to Morgan Wallen, whose 'What I Want,' which features Tate McRae, starts at No. 11. It was also a No. 1 on the Hot 100, debuting atop the May 31 list. His new album Tha Carter VI, debuts at No. 1 on a number of Billboard rankings, and he invades several of the hip-hop and rap-focused tallies with multiple tracks from the full-length. Kameron Carter Scores His First Billboard Hit Kameron Carter, Wayne's son, earns what appears to be his first Billboard hit this week. The 15-year-old, whose mother is actress Lauren London, collaborates with his father on the track 'Rari.' The Tha Carter VI album cut opens at No. 47 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, which ranks the most consumed tunes in those styles across the U.S., blending sales and streaming data as well as radio airplay.
