Lainey Wilson Performs With Country Legend, 61, at CMA Fest originally appeared on Parade.
A duo country music fans deserve! Lainey Wilson took the stage at CMA Fest 2025 on Saturday, June 7, and was joined by none other than Wynonna Judd.
Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild also performed with the powerhouse pair at the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee.
Of course, this isn't the first time Wilson, 33, and Judd, 61, have collaborated. In June 2024, they teamed up to record a powerful cover of Tom Petty's 'Refugee.' Wilson and Judd later made their on-stage debut to perform the track in Nashville as part of Wilson's 'Country's Cool Again' tour.
Ultimately, Wilson has never been shy about her admiration of Judd.
'They were The Judds. I mean, they were the soundtrack of my childhood,' Wilson told Us Weekly in a 2023 interview referring to Wilson's musical duo with her mother, Naomi Judd. 'I remember going to my [grandmother 's] house. She'd pick me and my sister up to go eat, and we would crank up the Judds.'

As for recording music with Judd, Wilson will never forget it! 'That was one of the coolest experiences of my life. My gosh, every time I tried to use that growl in my voice, I was trying to channel my inner Wynonna. Everybody wants an inner Wynonna,' the 'Hang Tight Honey' artist said in a separate interview with American Songwriter.
'Getting to have that experience with her, in her studio, in her house, with her husband Cactus, it was wild,' Wilson recalled. 'We went in to cut the vocals at the exact same time. We were just separated by a thin wall, and we just got to riff off of each other. It was pure magic."

Kelsea Ballerini Calls Noah Kahan ‘a Joy' to Perform With

Kelsea Ballerini is opening up about her close bond with Noah Kahan following their emotional duet at CMA Fest, and she has nothing but praise for her friend and collaborator. In a new interview with People, Ballerini shared how her friendship with the Stick Season singer has blossomed beyond music. 'I adore Noah,' she said. 'I got to know him as an artist and a collaborator, but now we're dear friends and I just can't say enough about the human being that he is. He's a good human.' Ballerini recalled texting Kahan just days before the show. 'I was like, 'I'm sure the answer is you want to be a hermit right now, but just in case, do you want to come play CMA Fest?'' His response? ''I've never done CMA Fest. I've never played a stadium.' I was like, 'Didn't you headline Fenway?' And he said, 'Yeah, but a proper football stadium.'' According to Ballerini, Kahan said yes at the very last minute. Even after her set was cut short due to rain, she insisted on performing 'Stick Season' with him. 'You came all the way down here with your friends and your family,' she said. 'We have to do 'Stick Season.'' '[Noah] is just a joy to be on stage with,' Ballerini added. 'He has that 'I'm just happy to be here' mentality, which I love.' The pair first teamed up for 'Cowboys Cry Too,' released in April 2024, which Ballerini previously called a career highlight. 'Thank you @noahkahanmusic for adding your uninhibited perspective and songwriting brilliance into this song,' she wrote at the time. 'I couldn't be more proud to put this music and message out alongside such a lovely artist and friend.' Both artists have had busy years. Kahan's Stick Season (Forever) reissue debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 in February, while Ballerini made a return to the main stage at CMA Fest and is now a brand ambassador for energy drink Celsius, which she affectionately calls 'Kelsius.' Country Star Makes Bold Statement About His Viral Cereal Moment

Country Star Makes Bold Statement About His Viral Cereal Moment originally appeared on Parade. It's been a few months since lit up screens with his 'Worst Way' music video, but if there's one moment that fans remember most, it's that the country music star loves his cereal. And that's saying a lot. 'Worst Way' is ludicrously sexy. Green and his on-screen lover eschew a romantic dinner—the salad goes flying!—to cut to the chase of making love. They nearly knock the paintings off the wall with the level of their passion. And they keep that absurd intensity up when they dine out, much to the bewilderment of the others at the restaurant. And yet, it's the closing scene that fans remember most. While his lover lounges on the counter in red lingerie, Green eats what looks like a bowl of cornflakes. And apparently, that's more true to life than the rest of the video. 'My friends make fun of me and say I eat like a kid 'cause I will eat cereal just constantly all day,' he said, per Country Now. 'I think probably Cinnamon Toast Crunch is the best cereal, but as an adult, I feel like I gotta eat something a little more healthy, so I go like a Honey Bunches of Oats.' Green also said that he enjoyed filming that scene a little too much and that they had to keep refilling his bowl. 'We had to reshoot it, so they wanted me to pretend to eat it,' he said, 'but I'll probably eat four bowls of cereal in that sitting.' The country singer said that 1988's Bull Durham was the main inspiration for the video, but that the original plan was a little more sincere. 'The first treatment they sent me, it made me turn red. I wanted to crawl under the table just reading it,' he said in an interview with Audacy. Knowing that he would be the one acting out these scenes of unbridled passion, Green decided to amp up the 'comedic relief.' "It's not really comfortable [to] shoot a music video like that, but it ended up being a lot of fun,' he Star Makes Bold Statement About His Viral Cereal Moment first appeared on Parade on Jun 20, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 20, 2025, where it first appeared.
