Hoedspruit riders selected for nationals

HOEDSPRUIT – Four talented young showjumpers from Hoedspruit have earned the honour of representing Limpopo at the upcoming South African Youth Championship, to be held at Kyalami Equestrian Park in Johannesburg from June 28 to July 6. Three riders from Lowveld Academy, Tyla Coetzee, Enola De Biasi and Khali De Wet, have shown consistent form throughout the year. Coetzee will be competing in the 80cm class with her trusted mount, Lady Cheval. De Biasi and De Wet, both riding in the 90cm class, will be competing with their horses Comical Guy and Xan Xim Shakira, respectively. Joining them is Rebecca Prioleau, who will also compete in the 80cm class aboard her horse Jesray's Namoos. Prioleau's inclusion highlights the depth of talent emerging from the Hoedspruit region. The youth championship is a highly anticipated annual event that brings together the country's top young riders across many different disciplines, offering a platform to compete at a national level and gain exposure in a professionally run, high-calibre setting. This selection is not only a significant personal achievement for the riders but also a proud moment for the local equestrian community. 'It's wonderful to see such young talent being recognised,' said Sheri-Lee MaGuire, rider representative for the Limpopo Showjumping Committee. These riders have worked incredibly hard, and we're thrilled to see their efforts rewarded with the opportunity to represent Limpopo. The equestrian community in Hoedspruit and Limpopo will be cheering them on as they take to the national stage later this month,' MaGuire said.
