
Dundee LIV golf series nears finale in style
The second-to-last round of the LIV Golf Series was played on Saturday in ideal weather, with 39 players competing in the 4BBB Stableford format.
The committee and members extended their thanks to the day's sponsors, as well as to Jo and the course staff for maintaining excellent playing conditions. Appreciation also went to Mpho for the meals, and to Dolly and Kevin for managing the starting duties and scoreboard.
Winners on the day were S. Mkhaliphi and B. Chawaya, who claimed top honours with 47 points on a count-out. Third place went to S. Ayob and G. Robson with 46 points.
Nearest-the-pin winners were:
• No. 4: H. Meintjies
• No. 8: S. Mkhaliphi
• No. 12: B. Chawaya
• No. 16: S. Kunene
The final round of the series will take place on Saturday, 5 July, with a shotgun start and a host of prizes up for grabs.
This coming weekend, the club's match play tournament will be held on both Saturday and Sunday. Spectators are encouraged to come out and support the players for what promises to be an exciting display of golf.

Spotted: New player with Kaizer Chiefs senior team
Paseka Mako won't be the only new left-back at Kaizer Chiefs. The Betway Premiership side will introduce Kabelo Nkgwesa from the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team. Kaizer Chiefs have become the first Betway Premiership club to return from the end-of-season break for preseason training.
