Mark Ronson has said he had to be rushed to hospital after injuring himself during a gig.
The DJ and producer, 49, posted a photo from his hospital bed and gave fans an update on his condition.
'That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice,' the 'Uptown Funk' producer said. 'Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! #tornthisway,'
The house PA is the speaker equipment present at the club or venue where the artist is performing, and the stage monitor refers to a speaker system facing the DJ or performer that allows them to hear the music mix over the sound of the crowd.
Drew Elliot, America's Next Top Model consultant and global creative director of MAC Cosmetics, commented on Ronson's post, writing: 'Always putting the audience first. Feel better.'
Interior Design Masters host Alan Carr wrote: 'Oh no!! Get well soon - love the hashtag though,' referring to Ronson's play on Lady Gaga hit 'Born This Way'.
Last week, Ronson announced his memoirs, Night People: How to Be a DJ in '90s New York City, and performed a five-hour set in New York to promote it.
'It chronicles three of my great loves: the art of DJing with all its emotional highs and lows, the electric energy of New York after dark, and the wild, wonderful clubland characters who became my second family,' the multiple Grammy winner wrote on Instagram, describing his memoirs.
'This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity — a time when finding my craft put me on the path to finding myself.'
Last week, Ronson shared another post detailing the toll that performing took on him. 'Pulled my camo record bags out of storage and filled them with 300 dusty ass records to play my first vinyl sets in 19 (?) years…I woke up today with my hands shredded, my ears shot, my lower back stiff as concrete, and FULLY BACK IN LOVE WITH DJING AGAIN. I f***ing love you New York.'
The Oscar winner and his wife, Grace Gummer, recently confirmed they were expecting their second child. In March 2023, Ronson's sister Annabelle Dexter-Jones had confirmed the arrival of the couple's first child, a baby girl.
Gummer 'just had the baby. She's two and a half months now', Dexter-Jones told People at the time. 'She's stunning.'
The couple tied the knot in an intimate backyard ceremony in August 2021. The following month, Ronson shared the wedding news with fans in a heartfelt black-and-white social media post celebrating his 45th birthday.
'To my truest love,' he captioned the image of the smiling newlyweds. 'Out of nowhere, you made 45 hands down the greatest year of my life. And I'm sure it took me 45 years to become the man worthy of your love.'
'I hope I spend every one of these birthdays by your side till my last day. And beyond. Forever and ever yours,' he said, cheekily confirming the nuptials with: '(And yes, we got married).'

So how did a Disney child actor come to make this journey through the ranks to grab the most prized slot at Worthy Farm? Known for her heart-on-sleeve hits including Drivers License and Good 4 U, it seems Olivia was always destined to achieve her goals. 'I want to be a songwriter — I don't want to be the biggest pop star that ever lived,' she said in an interview. 'I worked my whole childhood and I'm never going to get it back. 'I didn't go to football games, I didn't have this group of girlfriends that I hung out with after school. That's kind of sad.' Raised in a southern California town by her teacher mum Jennifer and therapist dad Chris, Olivia was only 12 when she made her acting debut as the lead in the American Girl doll franchise movie. It became the first song on Spotify to hit 80million streams in just seven days. The tune also shot straight to No1 on charts globally and propelled her into what she called a 'crash course in adulthood'. 'That was the craziest time of my life,' she said back then. 'I was sitting in a grocery store parking lot, and I called my A&R guy. 'It had just gone No 1 on Apple music, which is hard for a pop act to do. 'We were looking at each other on FaceTime, speechless. 'That was the moment I knew that it was going to be something bigger than I expected.' I just remember everyone being so weird and speculative about stuff they had no idea about. Her first live performance in the UK was at the Brit awards in 2021, while her festival debut here was at Glastonbury the following year. Olivia also joined her heroes No Doubt on stage at 2024's Coachella in California, and performed alongside Chappell Roan in LA last August. 'I don't kiss and tell' And Netflix released Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour, about her global trek, last October. Heartbreak remains her favourite subject to write about. But she has kept much of her private life under wraps since the storm over that debut single, and once insisted: 'I don't kiss and tell.' Instead, most of her feelings are expressed in her music. Take her 2023 hit Vampire, in which she brands a mystery older ex a 'bloodsucker' who was only with her for fame. She dated producer Adam Faze for seven months before things came to an end in early 2022, then entered into a short relationship with music executive Zack Bia that same year. But despite her earlier pain, she is now loved up with British actor Louis Partridge, known for playing Sid Vicious in a series about the Sex Pistols. He said in an interview last year: 'Dating probably shouldn't be done in the public eye . . . there's enough going on between two people. And last November, Louis, 22, took Olivia to Old Trafford to watch Manchester United take on Chelsea. Dealing with the pressure of publicity is far from the only trouble Olivia has found herself in, though. Hole singer Courtney Love took to social media to call out similarities between the artwork on her 1994 album Live Through This and promotional material for an Olivia Rodrigo concert, both of which featured the singers dressed as prom queens clutching flowers while mascara ran down their faces. 'My cover was my original idea. A thing you maybe have to actually live life to acquire?' wrote Nineties rock star Courtney, though the pair seemed to patch things up. However, allegations of copyright infringement involving hits on Olivia's debut album and songs by Taylor Swift and Paramore would go on to cost the star millions. Both acts ended up receiving not only 50 per cent of the royalties from the tracks they had inspired, Deja Vu and Good 4 U, but were included in the songwriting credits. Olivia's outspoken nature did not help, as she had previously mentioned Tay's Cruel Summer was the direct inspiration for her hit. Even last week, she was accused of making a Nashville venue take down Taylor Swift imagery before filming there in 2023, though it was later confirmed the removals were done for legal reasons. 'I was so green as to how the music industry worked, the litigious side,' Olivia has said. Headlining Glastonbury alongside The 1975 and Neil Young shows that Olivia has come a long way, especially amid rumours her third album could be released this year. She may look like the sweet girl next door, but her determination to direct her own career proves she is as punk as the rest of them.

Sting gives update as support act suffers cardiac arrest on stage in Liverpool
Sting's long-anticipated return to Liverpool took on a somber tone as he opened his headline performance at On The Waterfront by addressing a medical emergency that unfolded earlier in the day involving a member of local band The Christians. The Grammy-winning artist took the stage at Pier Head on Sunday night, closing out the four-day festival, but not before updating fans on the dramatic incident that had temporarily paused the event just hours before. During The Christians' afternoon set, a band member collapsed mid-performance, prompting immediate concern and halting the show. Eyewitnesses described how frontman Garry Christian urgently called for medics to rush to the stage. Moments later, a privacy screen was erected to shield the scene from the large crowd, who watched in silence as the situation unfolded. Shortly after, a spokesperson - believed to be the band's manager, Emma Bridget - addressed the audience with a sobering update. She confirmed that the performer had suffered a cardiac arrest but was still alive. 'We're really hoping he is going to make it,' she told the crowd. 'He didn't have a pulse, he's got one now, we think. Thank you so much.' Despite the shock, The Christians reportedly encouraged Sting to proceed with his headline set, offering their full support. When he eventually appeared on stage, Sting made sure to acknowledge what had happened, opening his performance with a few quiet, heartfelt words about the drummer's condition: 'The drummer in the band before is OK. Inside Lizzo's weight loss journey as she makes Ozempic admission
The singer explained she prefers to call her weight loss journey a process of 'weight release', admitting she tried GLP-1 after shutting down GLP-1 rumours Years of speculating about Lizzo's body have culminated in the star admitting she 'tried everything' to achieve the dramatic weight loss that has dumfounded her fans. The 37-year-old singer told Trisha Paytas' Just Trish podcast that she began to take GLP-1 medication at the outset of her weight loss journey in 2023, after shutting down rumours of her taking the medication. But despite taking it she soon came to the conclusion that it was not a long-term solution. She said: 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' The Grammy winner explained a long and complicated journey with food - frustrated by a period of veganism that meant she was consuming a lot of 'fake' food. She also clapped back at anyone saying taking GLP-1 medication was 'cheating' saying this was a 'fat phobic' take. 'It's not easy. It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with.I think their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating.' Instead, to achieve her goal, she changed her habits around diet. Lizzo had been following a plant-based diet for many years and she was vegan for three years from 2020 through to 2023. 'What did it for me is, it was not being vegan,' she told Trisha. 'Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full.' Instead of a healthy diet, Lizzo found that she ended up filling up on thing with little nutritional value whilst 'consuming 3,000-5,000 calories a day.' She noted that some products branded as healthy can be packed with 'fake sugar' that can leave you still feeling hungry. Lizzo continued: 'So for me, when I started actually eating whole foods and eating like beef, and chicken, and fish. Like, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up.' It was revealed in January that Lizzo lost 16 per cent of her body fat and reduced her body mass by 10.5. Despite criticism from nay-sayers who said described her weight loss journey as shunning body-positivity - she says she feels great. Lizzo explained, 'I feel like I worked really really hard and it was intentional with what I did with my body. So when I get compliments, I go, 'Thanks b***h.' Like I really receive it because I need to receive that. I don't take it any weird way because I tried to do this.' Last year, the singer had shut down allegations that she was taking GLP-1 medications. She shared a short Instagram wearing a colorful, satin robe while her hair was pulled back captioned, 'When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.' Lizzo then shared a screenshot of a comment from a social media user where they accused her of taking 'Ozempic' or 'coke.'' The troll commented 'did she use Ozempic or did she snort coke.' In response, the Grammy winner wrote, 'whyyyy do u follow me?' followed by four crying face emojis. Lizzo then shared a screenshot of the Instagram user's account which had been set to private. In January, she announced she had completed her weight loss journey saying 'I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal! I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder: you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!' Then in April during an episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, Lizzo said she prefers to use the term 'weight release' in place of weight loss. She credited her boyfriend Myke Wright saying, 'My man, he's so funny. He was the one that brought it to my attention at first. Because at first I was like, 'Oh my gosh I lost five pounds' and he was like, 'Where did it go?' 'I was mad at him, I was like, "Why would he say that?" but he was like, "Where did it go?'I want to be very intentional about the words that come out of my mouth because there's young people who are watching me and they're experiencing what I'm putting into the world. They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid.' She added: 'Be careful with your words because it can affect somebody in ways you don't even me releasing the weight has affected people and I take that seriously. I take that responsibility. And because of that I want to transmute it into something that makes people feel comfortable and less afraid of it.' During an appearance on The Jason Lee Show, Lizzo explained why she hasn't revealed her exact weight loss number. 'If I say the number, I don't think people could do the math. I've just seen a lot of TikToks where it's like, 'Lizzo talks about her 500lbs weight loss!' Why are y'all putting numbers on me? It kind of annoys me.'
