Superstar DJ and producer Ronson said: "I've admired RAYE's artistry for years now, watching her evolution from songwriter to the powerhouse artist she's become. When Audemars Piguet brought us together through their APxMusic programme, it felt like the stars aligning at exactly the right moment. "This collaboration isn't just another project – it's something we've poured ourselves into night tracking sessions in London, New York and Los Angeles. The music we've created together carries both our musical DNA but takes us somewhere neither of us would have reached alone." The song is named after the Swiss luxury watch brand's founder, Suzanne Audemars. RAYE added: "Everything about how this song came to exist, and this moment with Mark and AP, feels meant to be. "From the feeling in my heart that the song should be called Suzanne within minutes of hearing the music Mark created, to learning of Suzanne Audemars and the joy I feel in my bones whenever I play this song in my headphones, the overwhelming consensus of emotions is gratitude and pride." The Oscar Winning Tears singer has recorded another song Ronson, Grandma Calls the Boy Bad News, from this month's F1 movie soundtrack album. The Escapism hitmaker couldn't be prouder of the music they've created together. She gushed to PEOPLE: "We've made music together that I'm so proud of, and I love. "I play it, and it makes me happy and joyful, so I'm proud." RAYE also provided an update on her follow-up to 2023's My 21st Century Blues LP - which won British Album of the Year at the 2024 BRIT Awards - after she suffered a setback when her car was stolen with both the original songbooks from her debut record and her only copy of notes and ideas for the new record inside. She said: "I don't have an album title. "I'm like, 'What is it gonna be called?' It's stressing me out right now, I can't lie, because I've got the music starting to really come there. Article continues below "I just don't know what this album's gonna be called. "In my humble opinion, My 21st Century Blues is such a fire album title, and I can't hand in an album title that's less good than that."

Whenever Raye teases a new record, you know it's going to be a hit. Add superstar DJ and producer Mark Ronson to the mix and you're pretty much guaranteed a song that'll shoot to the top of your 'Most Played' playlist. 'Suzanne' — the new single from the duo, released to mark the 150th anniversary of watchmaking's hottest brand Audemars Piguet — is no exception. FIND OUT MORE ON ELLE COLLECTIVE No doubt set to be the summer anthem 2025, 'Suzanne' fuses Ronson's signature feel-good beats with Raye's soulful vocals and expressive lyrics. Dropping on Friday 13 June, it's the latest project to emerge from Audemars Piguet's dedicated AP x Music programme, which supports musical talent and craft through collaboration. 'For me it's just joy,' Raye, who is Audemars Piguet's newest brand ambassador, said of the song at an exclusive press preview ahead of a special debut performance, hosted by the watchmaker. 'The song makes me so happy — I find it so infectious.' Ronson, a longtime friend of the watchmaking house, described the song as reminiscent of hanging out with your first crush on a summer day: 'slightly melancholy, but still joyous,' he said. 'This is one of my favourite pieces of music I've worked on in a long time.' Audemars Piguet has a long history of working with musical greats, from Jay Z to Quincy Jones. While Ronson has been working with the house since 2022, Raye is the latest name to join the brand's impressive list of collaborators. After penning music for everyone from Beyoncé and John Legend to Charli XCX, the ELLE UK cover star shot to fame when her breakout single, 'Escapism', hit number one on the UK charts in 2023. She went on to make history last year at the Brit Awards with six wins, including British Artist of the Year, breaking records for the number of Brit Awards a single artist received in one night. 'Suzanne' marks the first time Raye and Ronson have collaborated on a project together — and according to them both, it's been a long time coming. 'I've always been a Mark Ronson superfan,' Raye said, noting she used to work in his London studio when she was an up and coming writer. 'Mark is a king of timeless music — music that outlasts trends, that outlasts phases.' Rest assured, when Suzanne hits Spotify on Friday, the ELLE UK office will be listening on repeat. Mark Ronson suffers stage injury during DJ set, recovery could delay career and memoir promotion
Award-winning music producer and DJ Mark Ronson may be off the decks for a while after suffering a significant on-stage injury. The 49-year-old was hospitalized after tearing both bicep tendons while attempting to move a heavy stage monitor during a live set. Ronson, who is married to actress Grace Gummer, shared the update from his hospital bed on Wednesday, posting a selfie with a thumbs-up and an honest caption. 'That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix,' he wrote. 'Turns out they weigh more than I thought… Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby!' He closed the post with the hashtag '#tornthisway,' a playful nod to Lady Gaga's hit 'Born This Way,' which he co-wrote. The announcement quickly drew attention online, with fans and fellow musicians flooding the comments with well-wishes and jokes. A source told RadarOnline the injury is 'serious' and that recovery could take months, potentially putting his DJ career on hold for the foreseeable future. The injury comes just months ahead of the September release of his memoir, Night People: How To Be A DJ in '90s NYC, which he describes as a love letter to the early days of his career and New York's nightlife scene. 'This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity,' he said in a preview. Ronson, one of the industry's most prolific producers, has worked with artists like Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Bruno Mars. He and Gummer, who announced they were expecting their second child in December 2024, shared the news during a holiday party in New York hosted by Justin Theroux.

Mark Ronson says he was rushed to hospital after injuring himself during set
Mark Ronson has said he had to be rushed to hospital after injuring himself during a gig. The DJ and producer, 49, posted a photo from his hospital bed and gave fans an update on his condition. 'That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice,' the 'Uptown Funk' producer said. 'Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! #tornthisway,' The house PA is the speaker equipment present at the club or venue where the artist is performing, and the stage monitor refers to a speaker system facing the DJ or performer that allows them to hear the music mix over the sound of the crowd. Drew Elliot, America's Next Top Model consultant and global creative director of MAC Cosmetics, commented on Ronson's post, writing: 'Always putting the audience first. Feel better.' Interior Design Masters host Alan Carr wrote: 'Oh no!! Get well soon - love the hashtag though,' referring to Ronson's play on Lady Gaga hit 'Born This Way'. Last week, Ronson announced his memoirs, Night People: How to Be a DJ in '90s New York City, and performed a five-hour set in New York to promote it. 'It chronicles three of my great loves: the art of DJing with all its emotional highs and lows, the electric energy of New York after dark, and the wild, wonderful clubland characters who became my second family,' the multiple Grammy winner wrote on Instagram, describing his memoirs. 'This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity — a time when finding my craft put me on the path to finding myself.' Last week, Ronson shared another post detailing the toll that performing took on him. 'Pulled my camo record bags out of storage and filled them with 300 dusty ass records to play my first vinyl sets in 19 (?) years…I woke up today with my hands shredded, my ears shot, my lower back stiff as concrete, and FULLY BACK IN LOVE WITH DJING AGAIN. I f***ing love you New York.' The Oscar winner and his wife, Grace Gummer, recently confirmed they were expecting their second child. In March 2023, Ronson's sister Annabelle Dexter-Jones had confirmed the arrival of the couple's first child, a baby girl. Gummer 'just had the baby. She's two and a half months now', Dexter-Jones told People at the time. 'She's stunning.' The couple tied the knot in an intimate backyard ceremony in August 2021. The following month, Ronson shared the wedding news with fans in a heartfelt black-and-white social media post celebrating his 45th birthday. 'To my truest love,' he captioned the image of the smiling newlyweds. 'Out of nowhere, you made 45 hands down the greatest year of my life. And I'm sure it took me 45 years to become the man worthy of your love.' 'I hope I spend every one of these birthdays by your side till my last day. And beyond. Forever and ever yours,' he said, cheekily confirming the nuptials with: '(And yes, we got married).'
