Country Singer Zac Brown to Receive Veterans Voice Award at 2025 AMAs

Epoch Times25-05-2025

Zac Brown, frontman of the Grammy Award-winning country rock group the Zac Brown Band, has dedicated much of his career to serving veterans.
In 2011, the singer-songwriter launched Camp Southern Ground, a retreat center based in Fayetteville, Georgia, that offers a variety of programs for former military personnel and children. He also regularly invites vets on stage during his shows to help raise awareness for the men and women who have risked their lives for this country.
Brown's unwavering support of the veteran community hasn't gone unnoticed.
On Memorial Day, the 46-year-old musician will be honored at the 2025 American Music Awards with the inaugural Veterans Voice Award, given to artists who have used their platforms to make meaningful, lasting impacts on the lives of veterans.
'This award means a lot to me because of the awareness that it's going to create for our veterans programs,' Brown
'The more people that are aware of how deserving these incredible people are, the more help that we can bring to them,' he added.

'They're such incredible, dynamic people that make a lot of sacrifices, from their family, the quality of their family life when they return home, their mental wellness, all of those things, so that we can be free and able to be here.'
The award will be presented by the Easy Day Foundation, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit founded by Frank Fertitta IV and Landon Gyulay in 2023 that supports veterans in their transition to civilian life.
The AMAs, which will air live on May 26 during Military Appreciation Month on CBS and Paramount+, partnered with the organization to highlight the work of former and current military members, all while raising funds for the veteran community.
Fertitta told The Epoch Times that presenting the Veterans Voice Award to Brown will be a major highlight of the show.
'We'll also showcase inspiring stories directly from Veterans and active-duty service members, people whose courage defines what this country stands for,' Fertitta said.
Viewers can also expect to see 'powerful performances tied into the theme of service, resilience, and unity,' Gyulay added.
'What's most important to us is that Veterans aren't just being talked about, they're being included, front and center. This show is for them. And we hope it sparks a wave of compassion and commitment that lasts far beyond the broadcast.'

Bill Belichick emails show why Jordon Hudson was at fateful CBS interview

There's now more clarity surrounding Bill Belichick's infamous April CBS interview in which Jordon Hudson made an extremely awkward cameo. WRAL News, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based outlet, obtained emails from UNC through a public records request that answered some of the lingering questions about Hudson's role in the UNC head coach's interview and her influence in their relationship. The interview was arranged for Belichick to promote his new book, 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,' but things took a turn after the 73-year-old was asked how he and his 24-year-old girlfriend met, as Hudson interrupted and shut down the question. Advertisement An email from Belichick explained why Hudson was even there in the first place. 'Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,' Belichick wrote in an email elaborating on Hudson's role at the interview and within the book. 'I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the 4 special pages in the book.' 'Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests (E.G. CBS 60 Minutes) to her. Jordon has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it.' 4 Bill Belichick is preparing for his first season as the head football coach of the UNC Tar Heels. Advertisement 'For approximately 35 uninterrupted minutes, (the interviewer) Tony [Dokoupil] asked questions about the book,' Belichick wrote. 'Then, the questions shifted to other subjects that were not related to the Art of Winning, which we had outlined as off-limits with my book publicist.' Adding fuel to the fire, Belichick said CBS had set up a camera on Hudson, who deliberately sought a spot to sit off-camera — this was how the viral moments of Hudson were captured. Throughout the nightmare that became of the situation for Belichick and UNC, alumni were even emailing the university with their concern surrounding UNC becoming a 'laughing stock in the sports world because of his young girlfriend.' With all eyes on the relationship and the program for quite some time, Belichick's messages read, 'I don't want to make a wrong move here,' after the interview, as he and the university devised and later released a statement on April 30 to clear the air.

According to the incident report filed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and obtained by Fox News Digital, the 51-year-old man - only identified as "the victim" in the documents - told authorities he wanted to press charges against El Moussa after the physical altercation that took place in The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort on June 5. Video surveillance, reviewed by authorities per the report, allegedly shows that El Moussa "charged" at the man and "shoved him" after he witnessed a heated exchange between the man and his dad. El Moussa appeared to "strike" the victim with his knee, causing the 51-year-old man to fall to the floor, according to the incident report. The reality TV star allegedly "mounted his back" and "threw 3 more strikes with his fist to the head of [the victim] before getting up and walking away." According to police, the victim suffered a "purple and reddish" bruise beneath his right eye and a half-inch cut on his nose. Fox News Digital reached out to El Moussa for comment.
