Watch: Wildfire traps kids in teaser for Matthew McConaughey's 'Lost Bus'
June 9 (UPI) -- Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera can now be seen in a teaser for the fact-based Apple thriller, The Lost Bus.
The pair play a bus driver and teacher, respectively, who try to save children from a wildfire.
Paul Greengrass directed the movie, which was produced by Jason Blum and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Greengrass and Brad Inglesby penned the adaptation of the book, Paradise: One Town's Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, by Lizzie Johnson.
"The Lost Bus is the story of quiet heroism -- of people coming together in the face of the unthinkable. I'm honored to have been entrusted with this story," Greengrass said in a statement Sunday.
The film is to be released this fall in theaters and on Apple TV+

SZA was voted Favorite Female Music Artist, Bruno Mars won for Favorite Male Music Artist and Stray Kids scored the Favorite Music Group trophy. Tyla hosted the Nickelodeon event, which also saw Black presented with the King of Comedy life-achievement award and Rihanna with the ICON Silver Blimp Award. New TV Shows This Week (June 22 - 28)
Welcome to another edition of New TV Shows. This week, an HBO favorite show is back for its third season. A show about games and death returns for its final season. A well-known TV star makes her feature film directorial debut and Marvel releases a new series on Disney+. Some exciting series, including one on Apple TV+, are premiering this week. The new season finds the Russells at the top of society while the old guard is as weak as ever. Bertha is set on marrying her daughter while George struggles to come to terms with the choice.
