London Marathon 2025 commentators: Who is providing coverage for the BBC this year?
THE 2025 London Marathon is projected to be the biggest ever, with a whopping 56,000 runners expected to take part.
Here we take a look at the BBC's team commentary team, who will be guiding us through the 26.2-mile course on Sunday April 27, 2025.

Gabby Logan
Gabby Logan will present the live coverage of the London Marathon 2025 on the BBC.
She will anchor the broadcast, providing seamless transitions between race updates, interviews and expert analysis.
Having previously covered for Gary Lineker on Match of the Day, from August 2025 she will present the programme regularly in rotation with Kelly Cates and Mark Chapman.
Gabby started presenting for BBC sport in 2017, and has gone on to cover the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and World Athletics Championships.
She was part of the Beeb's presenting team for Euro 2024, and also covers Champions League football on Amazon Prime Video.

I've run a lot of different places — along New York's Brooklyn Bridge, around France's Mont Saint-Michel, even in the moat at London's Tower of London — but this is easily one of the most beautiful. Starting in the middle of town, the two large 10km loops take the runners (some who will do it twice to complete a marathon) along the water's edge, past the town's old fortified walls, around the Rhodes Windmills, before throwing a hill or two in there to really get the heart pumping. I have always wanted to do a run in Greece — it's the birthplace of the marathon. And thanks to the stunning scenery, perfect climate and cheers of supportive locals, plus 700 volunteers who beam as they hand out gels and water along the way, I'm glad I've finally made it out here. At 20km in, I see the pro marathon runners on the other side of the course. And I realise that, thanks to the trail, these gazelles are likely to lap some of the slower half-marathon runners. I better pick up my pace. Soon, it's 500 metres to go, 400, 300 . . . suddenly, in the crowd, I spot my husband cheering me on and I give it one last push, thundering over the line in 1hr 55mins. I'm happy with the result, and even happier that, for the rest of the day, I have the Greek sun — and even more importantly, Greek food — to revive me. And for extra luxury, you can plump for one of the swim-up suites that lead straight out onto the many pools winding their way through the resort. But if you get tired of relaxing, I would heartily recommend getting out of the hotel and exploring the local area. The Old Town in Rhodes is filled with fantastic shops and restaurants — and we fill up post-marathon with mouth-watering dolmades, tzatziki, stews and a final delectable bite of baklava. Meanwhile, you can sign up to olive oil or wine tasting courses, explore Lindos Acropolis and hike up the mountains that dot around the island. Our own trip is over too quickly, and we sit by our personal pool until the very last moment when the taxi arrives to drive us half an hour to the airport. But there's no chance I'll be forgetting this holiday. After all, unlike other trips, I have a physical medal as my souvenir. And we do all deserve a little reward now and then. SFA hit back at Rangers statement as John Brown TV row takes fresh twist
The SFA have accused Rangers of issuing 'misleading comments' after the Ibrox club criticised the punishment they received for a remark made by former player John Brown on club media channels. Rangers were fined £3,000 following a disciplinary hearing after being charged with breaching rule 38, which states clubs should not allow any criticism of match officials 'calculated to indicate bias or incompetence' or to 'impinge upon his character'. While working as a pundit on Rangers TV, Brown claimed a decision not to award Rangers a goal at Easter Road on the final weekend of the league season was 'corrupt' amid a debate over whether the ball had crossed the line. This week Rangers claimed they had 'flagged numerous examples of similar incidents on club channels' during the hearing and questioned a 'lack of consistency' in the SFA's approach. In response, the governing body pointed out that Motherwell development coach Richard Foster was handed a six-match touchline ban for a similar breach last September after branding the SFA's explanation for a contentiously-awarded Rangers goal against St Johnstone as 'lies' while working as a pundit for the BBC. They also claimed that investigations were undertaken in other cases outlined by Rangers but the potential breaches were not considered serious enough to merit more than warnings. An SFA statement read: 'We note Rangers' response to the determination of a recent independent Judicial Panel Tribunal. In the interests of accuracy, we wish to address some of the misleading comments contained therein. 'The sanction imposed by an independent panel was entirely in keeping with the application of the rules. The most recent and relevant example of a similar breach, the sanction imposed on Richard Foster of Motherwell FC for comments of a similar nature in the media, attests to that. 'Furthermore, to address the comments regarding 'rationale behind differing outcomes', we wish to point to the fact that investigations were undertaken in previous cases outlined and that the compliance officers of the time saw fit to issue a censure by way of warning letter for potential breaches deemed insufficiently serious to be progressed to a notice of complaint. 'This system of proportionality has been adopted since the inception of the Judicial Panel Protocol in 2011. Indeed, such discretion was exercised last season when the compliance officer wrote to (Rangers) to warn of the future conduct of players following matters involving Vaclav Cerny, Dujon Sterling and Mohamed Diomande. 'We also note that Rangers intend to contact the association to seek clarity on the Judicial Panel Protocol and its application. The club is, in fact, already represented on the JPP Working Group. 'We have requested written reasons from the panel chair involved in the tribunal and in the interests of transparency will publish in due course. 'JPP Rule 38 was introduced in response to the referee strike of 2010, when match officials campaigned for greater protection after enduring sustained personal criticism from clubs and fans. Ahead of a new season, we remind clubs of their responsibilities in this regard.'
